Typically in June, the OMHC takes a break from backpacking and heads out to the New River State Park for some Glamping & Canoe/Kayaking on the New River. Last year we were not able to get the river due to an enormous amount of rainfall pushing the river to its limits and just too dangerous to kayak. This year we had PERFECT weather for an epic weekend on the river!
