Hi Guys! Welcome to our channel , where I share a lot of our Life Style such as day in our life, family outings , and even some recipes , beauty and more, we like to document our memories and share with you guys as well , We are a Southern California Family that likes to spend time as a family , and enjoy all kid friendly places, family events where we can also enjoy with our daughter, and our fury baby Luna , we speak Spanish and English, I love our Mexican tradition such as foods, festivities and belief's, we are very into our parents culture , we also like to spread CHD awareness Congenital Heart Disease, as both my daughter and Me were born with CHD so for that we wear red and anything that has hearts to symbolize CHD in our family.....

The silicone liner has to be removable so you can wash it because it can grow bacteria or even mold if not. Just so you know. But great info. Thanks for your time doing this. 👍👍👍

The o or box use to make them with the liner on the top part the lid. I use to take it out and wash it. I don’t know why they changed the design. I have been looking for the original design. I agree the the reviewer. I don’t like the rubber liner in the box on the base.

If it was glued more things would get trapped and grow it would be really gross. Think if you’ve ever had a sippy cup that did that or even some of these water bottles and stuff you buy. That crap will grow under the liner if yiu cannot remove it

Yes, the seal can come out. But omg, it's supposed to come out so that you don't have mold in your lunchbox. This is a great lunchbox, you should definitely look into this product. 😖🤯

I have all those! We love the omie. My son used it in preschool & will now use it in kindergarten. I haven’t had issues with the liners, I take them off & on for cleaning - it’s a breeze for me. We can fit a lot in the thermos. At least 6 chicken nuggets. We also put chicken noodle soup, spaghetti, Mac & cheese. The thermos looks small, but it fits plenty & my child can open it, which is an issue with other thermos brands. My least favorite is the munchkin. It leaks. I can’t put watermelon in it or the sandwich will get wet. I still use it but have to be careful about what goes in it. It’s is nice that they include utensils, but I never really pack anything that requires them in that lunch box. The bento box is fine, just doesn’t hold much. The small circle in the middle makes no sense unless you’re packing a dip.

Thank you for the review, preschool for my daughter starts in less than 2 weeks, you just confirmed it for me.. getting the munchkin lunch box now. We already use the munchkin insulated 360 cup, it’s only right her lunch box matches lol

I like my omie bento box. It's pricey so not for a person who looses things. You want to take the gasket out so it doesn't get moldy. Microwavable does not work for lower grade schools as teachers do not have to nuke students' fod much less their own.

Actually the rubber part is supposed to be removable for easy cleaning And its very expensive because of the metal part its not only meant for soup you can pour hot water or cool it in a fridge so you can keep cold and warm foods And the brand sells a fork and a spoon separately that you can attach to the handle it also sells little dip containers that you can put inside the lunch box And its smaller because it has deeper compartments You can also remove thethermosst and get a bigger compartmen and put it in separately in the lunch bag Theres also a different version that i think youll like more called the omie box up Hope this helps😊

This was a great review! I totally see the pros and cons. My daughter is not yet 2 and her daycare can’t cater to her allergies and have no microwave so I think I will get one Omie but your other recs have helped me realize not to invest in more than one and as soon as she’s bigger the munchkin looks amazing! I’ve never seen anyone mention that one until today.

Yeah, honestly, they are all great. You know they have their differences. It just all depends what you're trying to feed your child of certain age and what portions fit in the best box you know what I mean

You're so welcome! Obviously everybody has different needs. Every child is a different age and they all eat different amounts so it's all just narrowing it down to what options are also available you know what I mean

The grippy thing comes out in the omie so that you can wash the lunch box fully. And give you the option to make each section airtight/leakproof. If it was attached it would get mouldy and decrease the lunchbox lifespan, hope this lessens the frustration!

The reason you need to be able to remove that rubber seal is for it to be washed and not be mouldy.

Yes, I definitely do understand that part I agree it's just that it easily comes off that my child would not know how to put it back together. I would have a hard time.

Did you tried them/use them?? Because I saw another video and (of the Muncking lunchbox) and there was leaked, a strawbery mess. So it will be nice to know if you are recomending this luch boxes because you TRIED THEM/TESTED THEM or you are just saying it because that it is what the product says?

I have tried them both and they are great I guess it just depends what food you're putting in here for example do not put soup in the munchkin box, use a separate thermal,

I got the OMIE on sale on Amazons prime deals and I love it so far !! I notice that the silicone does go on bottoms where the food goes and it looks like it used to go in top on the lid I hope this change made it better. My son hasn’t use it yet . Thank you for the review !

Have you tried using it without the liner? I am only interested in this because of the built in thermos. I'm wondering if the lid will close properly without it so I don't have to worry about the mold. It being leak proof is not a concern of mine.

O been thinking about buying a bento box for my daughter since sometimes she has trouble opening her chips, cookies, or goldfish packs. And she runs out of time . She also always eats the snacks and then the main lunch. My idea is to put everything in the bento box, that way she can have a variety and can pick to eat whatever she wants fast and easy. Thanks, your video was very helpful!

@@spanishcaramel7 I’ve been using it for 2 months now, no problems. I packed strawberries many times never leaked. I always drain the fruits well after washing. I packed watermelon, orange slices too and it didn’t leak. I wouldn’t put a soup in there or something liquid but for everything else is fine.

The handle to me is superfluous bc it has to be able to fit into a larger lunchbox. If it doesn’t tbe kids will drop it and everything will spill out

Fixing it is also not the customer service reps job either so if you do bring in back please treat others with respect they don’t make the rules of return. Not saying you would do that but others do.

I can fix it , but a child? i dont think i honesty even thought mine was defective because after setting it in place completely right there was extra material by 2 cm and if I try to arrange it on one side, it would come out through the other. It was weird I must admit.
