this is as close as I've ever seen anyone else play the instrument the way I play the Q chord .. sort of a back and forth between a downbeat from the chord button followed by some sort of run or melody on the strum plate.. like the chord button is the left hand of the 'piano' and the strum plate can be played like the right hand of a piano.. I play along with other artists on iTunes recordings though .. I don't much care for the rhythm section of the Q Chord and I have never owned an Omnichord so I don't know if their rhythm section is better..

I have an OM150 and a QChord. My mother has an OM-27; in fact, my mother was the first woman in Canada to ever own an Omnichord.
