Are you kidding ? Omegamon’s appearance in Adventure 2020 is by far the most respectful and accurate since Our War Game, precisely. In Diaboromon Strike Back he was nerfed just to justify the existence of Imperialdramon PM. I don’t have anything against Imperialdramon PM, on the contrary, but making Omegamon looking weak to give the spotlight to the former wasn’t necessary. In X-Evolution, not only he was super-nerfed again, to the point that even Wargreymon was able to give him a lot of trouble. But he even became a mass-murderer ! Bro, wtf ?! It’s the most out-of-character writing I have seen since Shadow in Sonic Boom. And in Savers he’s kinda irrelevant, any random Knight Digimon could have taken his role for the same result. You blame the Reboot ?! For what ? For showing Omegamon the respect he doesn’t had for 2 decades ? For finally depicting him as stronger than Wargreymon (which is far from being always the case) ? For finally showing the full extent of his capacities ? For respecting his Lore (Omegamon is supposed to be the incarnation of everyone’s will, not just the fusion of Wargreymon and MetalGarurumon (and definitely not a nazi)) ? To keep your parallel with Dragon Ball, Reboot Omegamon is Vegetto. Goku and Vegeta finally becoming the Ultimate Warrior after having been living jokes for years (well, Vegeta more than Goku, but you get the idea). His appearance against Nidhoggmon was a bit too much, tbh, but it’s a minor flaw compared to what the character suffered in DSB and especially X-Evolution.

Not really. The most overused is Wargreymon. The most overrated are Millenniummon and Alphamon.

And Alphamon and Millenniummon are overrated in term of strength, people make up legends about how strong they supposedly are (including on this channel) when they have no feat to support this idea.

Yeah I blame Adventure Tri, LEK and especially the 2020 reboot for his overuse those series to me truly devalued Omnimon just like Majin Buu devalued Super Saiyans and though I liked Alter S we briefly get at the climax of this series the damage is already done. I think his roles prior to them constantly trying to revive Adventure 01 and failing at every turn and after his iconic debut in Our War Game where the impact left was phenomenal even in X Evolution and Savers/Data Squad I appreciate those appearances as they more so touch on the Lore of the Royal Knights making it clear those incarnations of Omnimon were different and in Adventure 02 Diaboromon’s Revenge Movie was also really good use as a decent admirable follow up continuity/sequel to Our War Game in where they needed to put Armageddemon over to topple both the pinnacles in the mighty Omnimon and Inperialdramon FM.
