Мы с отцом никогда не встречались с ним, но вы можете видеть мою родословную, и немцы всегда избегали меня и выдворяли меня, часто даже когда я был мальчиком. Я больше не люблю Германию и презираю здешнее правительство. Если бы я чувствовал себя немцем, мне было бы стыдно за то, какой вы глупый и как вы относитесь к России. Это позор для Германии. Но я чувствую себя более русской, и у меня русская, любящая, меланхоличная, верная, верная, бережливая душа. Я уже более десяти лет планирую эмигрировать в Россию, потому что Запад всегда лицемерил, а Германия и является вассалом «по ту сторону Атлантики». Приветствую и всего наилучшего народу России!

At 01:46 there is an incorrect translation.) “Горе” -- in this case means “Trouble”, "Misfortune". It means “We are trouble for the enemy,” or “We are misfortune for the enemy”. "Mountains" have nothing to do with it.))

ГО́РЕ - trouble/misfortune but if we change the stress from О to Е then it's about mountain (Гора́) and on the mountain would be "на ГОРÉ" . no wonder he fucked up here

They may also have a similar root. In other slavic languages, like Croatian "gora" means mountain aswell, but there are other words for that which sound nothing alike. "Gore" means worse, or "above/up." Which may give a hint as to why they sound so similar. Same train of thought as an "uphill battle" in English.

For example, "The enemy is sitting on the (Gore)mountain" and "In our family, (Gore)grief, grandfather died". The Russian language is very rich and difficult to translate. One comma can completely change the meaning of a sentence. For example "Помиловать, нельзя казнить." (Pardon, you can't execute!) "Помиловать нельзя, казнить." (It is impossible to pardon, execute!

@@TheTranceCartel They were dropped into Hostomel but couldn't secure a large enough perimeter around it to land the transports like in Hungary, so they ended up getting isolated. The fact that most managed to survive 1 whole day deep in enemy territory right near the capital until their regular infantry relieved them is pretty worthy of respect though.

@@american_catt347 Поверьте ничего обьщего с казачьим пением это не имеет, как рас манера исполнения мужицкая но ни как не казачья.. В подтверждения этому приведу Вам пример - Alexey Retard выше написал (Залихватский казацкий стиль) я сам с Дона и Кубань рядом а эта колыбель казачества и здесь не говорят казацкий, здесь говорят казачий.. слово казацкий употребляют именно Русские а сами Казаки с Дона так никогда не говорили, нет такого слова в казачьем говоре юга России.. С учетом того что казаки как народность исчезает и по сути растворилась в русской нации многие коментаторы просто не знают этих нюансов и скажу больше что они искренне считают Казаков юга России Русскими..

My interpretation goes like this: It was written couple months after the downfall of the Soviet Union . Probably the euphoria of newgained freedom was already over and the reality of living in a country that lost a (Cold) war kicked in. So the way to deal with such emotions (embarrassment, sorrows, uncertainty) was to "demand" Alaska back. It is only a sarcasm when you realise, that living in an anarchy and sudden poverty, demands like that were the last thing a regular man would be interested about. Lyricss be like Alaska and Siberia are two cost of one river, they share this and that, give us Alaska back :)

@@alekseyaleksey2355 First time I heard of Igor Rastarayev was thanks to German actor (and amateur jazz singer) Tom Schilling. He has a song (on Spotify) called Rastarayev. He is mentioning Russkaya doroga in the lyrics. I like their songs (Tom's- I used to listen to them while traveling the long hours in a train and Igor's)

In the video you can see the Ryazan Guards Higher Airborne Command School. It is the official military academy and advanced training center of the Russian Airborne Forces. It was first formed as the Ryazan Infantry Courses on 13 November 1918 - thus it is one of the oldest active military academies in modern day Russia.

Thank you for the video and the lyrics. I have some suggestions for English translation. Zheton - should be translated as a dogtag. You don't put a badge under your t-shirt. I think most of the commentators covered that VDV is not a Mountain to their enemies but a nightmare/disaster. I also think that "...take it on your chest" is wrong. I believe it's a figurative expression. "take it to your heart/soul" or even better "embrace it". Word for uniform is hard to translate with correct connotation. It's slang for a specific half-woolen field uniform of VDV. Pолушерстянной (ПШ)/(P Sh) means half-woolen. Abbreviations "P" and "Sh" led to the slang пэжухой. So, it's not just a uniform, but a special VDV uniform.
