⚠️SPOILER WARNING⚠️ I’ve said this before, but I love the foreshadowing in Omori. The way that Omori is scared of heights and stairs is like a physical manifestation of Sunny’s lasting trauma from the accident with Mari. It makes sense why he has an aversion to those things because Omori is a representation of his subconscious, and his subconscious still correlates heights/stairs with Mari’s death. It’s so well done.

The first Something is a beautiful trick of the game. Heights is the first fear you have to conquer, early in the game when you're still confused about everything. When you don't have the clues to make any real association. The shadows and the Something are explicitly associated with hands. Spiders and drowning have much more obvious symbols to represent them, but for some reason heights is associated with hands. Something shoves Sunny, Something taunts Sunny as he falls, and it's never clear why, not until the very end.

I've lost so much in 2021, it's taken me half a year to get over losing one of the best friends I've ever had; and so much more beyond that. I've had to go through it all with little to no help and no therapy either. I'm getting into psychology studies so I can help as many people as possible who were just like me, who feel like they lost everything and will never have anything ever again. here is a tip for people in a depressive state: they won't see a happy future what so ever, you have to focus on the present with them and instead of saying "there are better days ahead of you" just take life one step at a time with them. like everything, it's a process so be patient with them and they will be patient with you. help eachother

Nice, when I first played Omori I didn't think much of it. It quickly caught me with the mystery, humor and especially the hanged man game which only fuel'd my curiosity. By the last two hours of the game I was in tears trough all 120 minutes as well as after the ending to which my response was just sitting and staring as the credits rolled, music played and I was left in a bitter sweet state, same feeling I had at the end of my favorite show. I highly recommend playing the game for Yourself, but I guess experiencing it with your favorite creator doesn't miss the mark by far. **SPOILERS** I got the good ending, Basil and Sunny survived, I confessed to Aubrey, Kel and Hero what happened with Mari, and freed myself as well as Basil of the guilt that lurked and followed us in the shadows trough the entire game. It also somewhat made me feel better as I saw a flower growing on the stump of that cut down tree. I don't have a favorite game of all time, there are those that I treasure with all my heart and those which were fun but haven't made that much of an impact on me... Omori was and will always be in my treasured memories.

fair warning, those who is currently going through something bad in their life, or has a very weak heart, please do not play or watch the game as it may make things worse for you. i went that route but thank goodness it didnt last for more than 3 days. having thoughts like "what am i even doing right now" and "maybe i can consider ending it now" was not a great experience. i really need to touch more grass.

the fact that you used the Lost Library song in the intro sequence absolutely broke me, it's my personal favorite out of all of the bangers in OMORI's ost. needless to say i was strapped in for a wild ride from the very beginning. reliving the story a second time was well worth the watch time (admittedly i did skip a bit), and tears were definitely spilled during the Duet. for me, i saw a lot of my own mental state & struggles in Sunny and from the very start was in love with the game and its story. it was a bad hurt during the streams and still hurts watching it again, but in a way it reminds me that at the very minimum: i have acknowledged my problems and am persisting in an effort to fix them. out of all of the streams i've caught in the past 3-ish years, i strongly agree with Carson that this was definitely an unforgettable experience.

Carson. You are the reason I played this game. I've been meaning to play it for a few months. Saw this video when it came out in my sub feed, clicked it. Than I got the warning at the beginning. I paused the video, went out and bought the game, did a full play through over two days. (Somehow sunk 22 hours in that time.) And cried my eyes out at it. HOLY FUCKING SHIT CARSON. THIS GAME WAS FUCKING BONKERS.
