I fully expected vitriol in the comments. Remember, calling out UNKINDNESS is not unkind. Calling out someone else's judgement is not hypocrisy. I love you all and we are one. Nasty comments will do nothing to change my perspective. Peace be with you all. The first written teachings after Jesus' death were at the earliest 30 years after his death. There was no printing press for over 2000 years as people re-wrote these teachings which morphed into many different versions of the Bible. One heck of a game of telephone...

Interesting. You were unable to listen to Dr. Peterson's entire interview. You accused him of having his nose in the air and even made a bizarre comment on his attire. Those are ad hominem attacks that speak nothing to his character, beliefs or intentions. He believes that mutilating children is not just "unkind" but cruel and psychopathic. Saying peace be with you and love and light does not make you a morally superior or more virtuous person. Dr. Peterson often states he knows he is imperfect and even points out his own faults and failings. If you find the comments here to be harsh and cruel then once again I suggest you check yourself. You see vitriol in the comments. The claim could then be made that the same vitriol was found in your post. If the comments are calling you out on what people see/hear as YOUR lack of kindness or YOUR judgment then surely they are not vitriolic if YOU are not filled with that of which you accuse others. Once again.... just an observation.

I don’t think Jesus teaches exactly as you think he teaches. Here is a good dramatization of his teaching, and why it got him killed (you don’t get killed by just saying “be kind to people”): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hcdinciryKqmd58.htmlsi=sihz0YkDHa1bATpF

The earliest known writings of what would later become the "bible" were around the 4th century. Although papyrus scrolls with stories of Jesus and his followers date much earlier. The Gutenberg printing press was invented around 1430, not 2000 years after Jesus walked the earth. While I do agree that stories definitely can become elaborated on, key facts lost or left out, or simply made up completely in order to make a point, the people of centuries and millennia past were master story tellers in order to pass down historical facts as well as fiction since verbal communication was the most common way to preserve the essence of events of the time. You are still entitled to your thoughts, feelings and opinions on Jordan Peterson, Jesus and frankly anyone or anything. Just seems a bit judgy and hypocritical to accuse others and sign off with "peace be with you" to seemingly punctuate a position of self determined moral authority and superior virtue. How it reads, in my opinion.

im not saying that youre unkind, but being hypersensitive can cause you to over empathize to the point you lose the plot. i agree that peterson has some yuck vibes. i ask god why is he so yucky all the time. ngl. but i still am on the fence with him because i still believe that mostly hes coming from a good place and hes more worried than angry... kinda like you. hes just a man that is trying maybe overshoot his manliness and thats a fruit of that, i believe. hes not a hater or someone that doesnt agree with raising a child with love. i think he has certain limits to what we should do with that love when its a child, hes worried, as i said, he worries a lot, that it will catch on like a flu virus and people who dont have trans kids will start playing the game too. no right answer for you, but youre both saying similar things, actually.

Just an fyi, Jesus supported scripture. He used it against satan when he was in the wilderness for 40 days. I think she got discouraged by the church and probably heard something that convicted her heart. Dont put your trust in people, put your trust in God. That is why the Bible is there to read the entire context. It's basically God talking to you. This oneness teaching is new age teaching. Always go to the bible and line it up with what anyone says. The truth hurts sometimes. It's for our own good when it comes from God. Pray and ask God to help you discern what is right and wrong.

What I will ask of you though, if you are willing to do it. Just talk to God. Ask him to explain himself to you. Go straight to the source. That what i did. And it completeley changed my life. Every day, we take judgemental decisions. Like you are doing right now. Only God can love you perfectly. Nobody else. What you are suggesting is you are better than others. Only Godd is good. We all fall short. Thats why we need a redeemer. You need to stand against evil with passion like Jordan. You know; they want to eat him alive and do that without any shame publicly. Imagine you and me. There is no love for sure from the other side. There are only to genders. If you think otherwise, good luck.

its true, I am a die hard Christ follower, but I ACCEPT MY RAGE TOWARDS ALL HUMANS. My mom, dad, bro, ex wife, my neighbor, I LITTERLY HATE PURE HATRED TOWARDS HUMANS. I only have to reflect litterly yesterday, and the day before, bc its been EVERY SINGLE DAY, where our eyes are seeing NEGATIVE outcomes, but we are constantly being told to ignore it, ignore our feelings, emotions, ignore the REALITY of what is happening. Its not MY DOG, ITS NOT THE BIRDS, ITS NOT THE ANTS, ITS NOT THE FISH, ITS NOT THE GHOST ITS HUMAN BEINGS ITS THE EVIL PEOPLE LOL THEY ARE HERE SHOOT THEY ARE INFECTING YOUR KZfaq COMMENT SECTION. SO I M GOING TO JUDGE ONLY HUMANS TIL THE DAY I DIE. BC HUMANS DESERVE IT LOL DUH HAHAHAHAHAH PS I STILL LOVE HUMANS BC I AM AWARE OF OUR GRATENESS. JUST SO SICK OF YALL. HOW MANY OF YOU MASTERBATE HOW MANY OF YOU LIE AND FAKE IT TO YOU MAKE IT? I MEAN I CAN GO ON LOL AND THAT IS WHY I WILL JUDGE YOU WHY DONT YOU STOP BEING A TERRIBLE HUMAN? First guy you listed doesn't know what he's talking about. Dead Sea Scrolls isn't "the entire old testament"; far from it. We might have bits and pieces of some chapters but the only fully intact scroll is that of Isaiah. Not to mention the book of Esther isn't "the one book that talks very negatively about women" - it's precisely one of the unique scrolls that puts women at the forefront of the story (much like Ruth, Susanna etc.). Also the Essenes being the ones that wrote the scrolls is speculation.

I think you should try to read the gospels yourself without trying to pinpoint a Jesus that you want. I remember the first time I read the Gospels it really felt like Jesus was a very angry person. He was a teacher and a corrector. He was asking people to turn away from their Wicked Ways come to repentance. He had a profound hate for sin all of the doings inside of it. In the end it is what got him killed. But also is what gives us Redemption. From our foolishness.

Would you apply your views on the transgendered to those suffering from anorexia? Would it be loving to affirm their beliefs and agree with them? Or would it be more caring to try and corrected the misguided self perceptions. To think that Jesus accepted everyone as they are without change is not biblical. We all are in constant need of change and forgiveness; but in the right direction.

I think this is an important reflection, and I applaud you for your courage. I don't think it is enough to say that Christ is this "oneness"...what does that even mean? We've got everybody from global corporations and our own politicians wanting "oneness" and "harmony" and "unity," where nobody has strong words against anyone. There's been a "war on hate" for what seems like ages now. But the reason all of these pleas for unity doesn't sit well with me is because it never seems authentic. But Christ was authentic, at least to me. You knew where you stood with Him, and you cared how you stood with Him. His judgements were as harsh as His father's were, but Christ combined this hardness with a love that seems truly real and honest. You could trust Him and what He had to say a whole lot more than the institutions of modern life and their friendly public relations statements. For although the words sound sweet, what lay behind them is a callous self-interest. That's never the sense I get with Christ. His words cut to the bone; He's not just saying things to make everybody feel better about themselves. Sometimes you feel downright ashamed. But when you hear Christ's words of love, you know it's because He truly loves you. And that's true even 2,000 years or so after He walked amongst us when we read the gospels.

I like this honest testimony and your description of Christianity today is very accurate , a lot of these contradictions to what I know Christ to be in my heart has made me and hopefully a lot of others deep dive into understanding what has gone wrong. Anything other than orthodox sects of Christianity hasn’t made sense to me , as orthodox is the one that was established by the church fathers who were closest to Jesus’ ministry. A good book i recommend is The Ancient Path by Father Spyridon Bailey it explains what sects have mistaken to be the word and gives great insight to how you should interpret Christ in your life , I recommend this as what your saying ties closely into what he is saying in this book. Also 1st Corinthians 1:10 clearly defines that everyone should be in oneness as you say. Have a good day ❤

And on Jordan Peterson , I believe from a glance away he can seem full of hate and contempt for others , all I suggest you do is look in his comment sections , you will find the most beautiful testimonies from young men specifically how he has changed and saved their life’s (mine included) , a lot of his contempt comes from his compassion for a generation that has felt unheard and unappreciated and deemed as toxic constantly for just being men.

Indeed Jesus taught love and no condemnation. He also did say "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment." John 7:24. Not everyone is in Christ though and there is a lot of false teaching. Not everyone believes Jesus is God in the flesh who died for us and rose again, and not many live out what they preach... We are, in what Jesus taught, the end time so there is so much deception, as He warned. Have you read Matthew 24, where Jesus explains about it, and the mess that is happening now. Keep seeking Him in His Word. If you can, read whole chapters of Scripture daily. KJV version one of the best but you can read it alongside a newer version until you get used to it.🧡🙏

Jesus emphasized that he came not to abolish the law but to fulfill it. In Matthew 5:17-18, he says, "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished." Do not say the only commandment is love without knowing what true love is. Your love embraces the snake, and the prowling lion who devours everyone. God is love but love is not God. So you say the law is to be disregarded without upholding the commandments of Christ. What makes you the arbiter of right and wrong? judgement and non-judgement? Have you made yourself like christ? No? Then be silent.

People due to there fallen nature will always be enticed to judge. To group people and make separation. Yes we have to be loving and charitable. But it is actually sinful if you don’t condemn evil. Is a sin of omittence. So as an example. A person it’s trying to get off drugs. You can be understanding and loving. But if that person is not really making the effort or hurting people by there bad choices. Putting themselves in positions to fail. You cannot condone that. To do so is on you because your not condemning wrong doing. Christianity is not something you can make up the rules on. It’s not emotional feelings. It’s the truth given by God. The Catholic Church , Gods created church has defined the doctrines and truth by the Holy Ghost.
