@@devinhannickel641 I hope so. There's only one person left from the Detroit hc scene who is still edge at 50 years of age. All the rest got their tattoos covered up twenty years ago.

@@vadermasktruth i think the people that went edge after the yoith crew thing died out are more committed. Ive spoken with many that have beeb edge for over 15 years and i plan on staying that way. Went edge at 16, am 22 now and still love it although ive developed a liking for NA beer

I got lots of friends that are still SxE and well into their 40s. But none of them are cocky pricks. Its their choice and theirs alone. Thats something that comes with age. I commend them because straight edge can be a dark place past ones teenage years

@@jeffcapra6401 I think one of my friends from the 90s scene might still be sXe. Two have straightedge tattoos and are no longer edge. I was most shocked by Chris from CHOKEHOLD drinking. Most of us are in our 50s now and couldn't care less who gets high and who doesn't. Besides CHOKEHOLD losing it, I'd still be shocked if Karl from EARTH CRISIS decided to start drinking at age 51. We never had much of a straightedge scene here in Detroit, though our punk scene in general has always been big! Mike Hasty is in his early 50s and is straightedge still but that's about it. I'll listen to good hardcore, regardless of the lack of sobriety by its members.
