I remember watching this crown Victoria when I was like 9 or 10 years old. Im so happy to see it on the road. It’s a beauty. I actually have been trying to find one for sale for awhile. I’ve been wanting one ever since I discovered your channel. Hopefully I can replace my 2000 s10 with this

Nice to see it back on the road again. There's really nothing like those good old American sedans.

Gotta love the crown Victoria, last full sized, body on frame, solid rear axle American machine.

This was the quintessential Ford car. The 302 engine and rear wheel drive were timeless. I wish they never stopped making these.

Those were GREAT cars!!! We had an 88 Grand Marquis and put well over 350,000 miles on it.

80's Ford 302 starter motor. I miss that distinctive sound.

Very nice to see you finally get around to putting this back on the road. Have an 86 Crown vic that was my Grandmother's. She bought new in Dec of 85, She kept it until 2001 when she replaced it with a 93 Ford Taurus Gl with the 3.0. I bought the car from her for 300 bucks in 01, with 292,000 miles on the Original 302 v8 and automatic overdrive transmission. AS of Saturday when I changed the oil and installed new front brake pads, Odometer is at 512,845, Bought a new 302 crate motor about 3 years ago, figuring on installing it when the original died...puffs a little blue these days when cold but, fires up first time every time. Have a friend who's trying to buy it off of me because, southern car, zero rust, and over the years, I've about replaced all suspension parts...still getting around 18.5 mpg highway, but oh boy that thing is comfy on a long road trip.... And, btw, crate engine is still...in the crate, old American iron won't die yet!

I wish it were as simple to get cars back on the road here in the UK but here we have to pass a safety inspection every year which puts a lot of cars off the road and stops them getting back on again.

I love old cars and how simple they are. I sure do miss how old cars drive. I got me a 96 thunderbird. But before I can drive him, he needs a lot of work to be road ready.

Replace the coolent temperature sensor, Air charge temperature sensor, MAP sensor, EGR valve and charcoal canister purge valve, Air cleaner temperature sensor, distributor cap and rotor, fuel filter and fuel pump, transmission fluid and filter, plug wires, ignition module, distributor, tires, and then sell it. It'll bring in a thousand or two!

I just turned 32,000 on my 1990, I've owned it since 1991. I will admit, my air does not work at this time.

I love your channel. It really reminds me of Mustie1. My favorite vids are the actual wrenching vids though. I want to see the process more. And not a big fan of the cold start and shuffling cars form one parking spot to another vids.

I had a cat pee in one of my old BMWs. I don't know if mouse odors are harder to remove. Pull the carpet out and pressure wash it, then use Kids N Pets carpet cleaner, scrub it in and let it soak, pressure wash again, and vacuum it with a wet dry vac to remove most of the water. This process made the 35 year old carpet smell like nylon again. It had vinyl seats, but I would have done the seats too (omitting the pressure washing) if they were cloth.

How has the car been doing since you have been driving it. Any issues so far. Curious to know real world mpg's. I'm currently looking at a 1990 for $800. But my uncle once told me they are thirsty cars.

rear wheel drive one finger steering. lots of room to move your feet around.. much better on long trips. btw i've had good luck with 5 minute epoxy for hangin mirrors. only thing is that darn gas mileage.
