Love the fireside chats. I’m not a fan of fake people. I believe you should be you all the time. Authentic! Vegetable beef soup and cornbread are my favorite for cold weather food

Our favorite on a rainy 🌧 old camp night is a delicious bowl of soup or chili. A biscuit from Joey's too from our favorite breakfast stop on our way to The Smokies 😊 😋

This was such a good talk. I agree about being vulnerable through transparency. With social media and the youth that are growing up with it, it can be difficult for them to distinguish the difference between authenticity and “fake”, then the youth will compare their lives with the “fake” and they can never in a sense live up to the standards of the “fake”. This can cause depression in youth and so many other issues. I can only imagine the pressure our youth are dealing with because with me being in my 40’s I have had to deal with that comparison with social media but I have to remind myself that everything we see is not what it seems and that God has created me as an individual with my own journey.

Pretty cool seeing you guy visit my town of Canton and surrounding area. A recommendation for ya in your travels in this area. From Canton Nc travel Lake Logan road to NC-215 up to the Blue Ridge Parway. Once on Parkway Turn left and travel back across to the Cruso side. Get off parkway and travel down towards Brevard. Passing Sliding rock, Looking Glass Falls and stay at Campground “Davidson River”..

Hello Mr and Mrs Friday! I loved your video as always. Karen, when you were talking about being authentic, I thought, you two are the most authentic and "real" people I watch on here. I so enjoy everything you all do! I'm living through you! Been watching you all since you started. I really loved all the descriptions and showing what Mike did to set up the van. I love learning everything that needs to be done. What kind of surge protector did you buy? Karen, I have to make those quesadillas! And, I'm adding spinach to mine also! I looked for the link in the description for his dedfish knife but did not see it. I went to the dedfish site and saw it for $59.99, but I would want to give you all the credit for it if you'd get a % of it. Should I get the knife from their site? You two are so adorable and cute together when you go back and forth joking with each other. I feel like I'm sitting right there with you! Lol. Thank you for blessing me every time I'm riding along, or sitting around a campfire, or walking through a town with you. You guys do EVERYTHING I would be doing if I was able to get out. That would be an insult. Tom Cruise does not know the Lord. He's lost. Mike and Karen are both believers in Jesus and they openly share their faith as a believer is supposed to do. We are not to be ashamed of sharing the Gospel of Jesus to the world.

We love camping in cool even rainy weather❤️ We’ve camped in cold weather, but we generally put our camper “to bed” for the winter. It’s not as easy with a fifth wheel. It’s more about slick roads than anything. Those were some “authentic” marshmallows, for sure! Lol! I like my marshmallows burnt just like my hotdogs! 🤭 I love your fireside chats. They always remind us to keep God in the forefront of everything we do! Have a blessed week🙏

Hello from Ohio. Recently I asked on another channel, What is the one thing you wouldn't do on your channel that would further it? On the other channel they always talked about not drinking alcohol. On New Years they were drinking free champagne and saying But it's New Years. I asked them the same question but they didn't answer. You guys are great.

We are wondering if you travel with a small electric heater. Since propane creates condensation, we always were warm when plugged in and had minimal water drips. Enjoy your chats!

No we don't have any extra heat on board. We use the electric heat from the truma heater onboard unless it's really cold out. Thanks for watching!

Cold day, Chili or some cornbread and soup beans or pintos. I loved the video. I felt like I was there with you cooking and setting up camp. The dinner looked so good. Can't beat the breakfast, yum. I sure loved the drive as you hit the road, I miss that so much with my husband and myself when we would just go. I know you can't see us like we see both of you but I pray you know my love and caring for you is authentic and God is a God that is authentic in his ways toward us and our lives. May God watch over you and bless you always in his name. Amen.

Hey Mike, I don’t have any hair to let down. 😂 No, I really don’t…. I had Lymphoma cancer over 20 years ago, & my hair all fell out from the chemotherapy. My hair grew back very slowly, but then it just stopped growing. At the time my hair was still brown. It’s gray now & the lightness makes my baldness really show. I’ve tried wigs over the years but they’re just too uncomfortable. I can’t change it & I don’t plan to try. So what I have is what you get . I don’t make excuses for it. I know Jesus Christ gave me life when I was dying & He healed me so I could still be here 24 1/2 years later. I don’t think how much or how little hair I had was part of His agenda, & I’ve learned to accept that. God bless you & Karen & may He keep y’all safe as y’all continue to motor around His beautiful country & visit His amazing creations & the wonderful people who make our country great. ✝️💟
