Here is a quick video of me setting up a pair of twin HS2 su carbs which have been rebuilt be me and have been fitted and ready for me to tune. Making custom needles can be time consuming, a good 3 hours was needed here to get these results.

I never saw a proper graph of a 274 before, it looks less peaky than I would have expected. Awesome job, no head work to this engine? That's quite a good result for just a cam and a set of carbs.

We weren’t actually sure on the cam, it looks like it has the classic dip at 2500rpm which you usually get with cams around the 270 duration mark so along with the idle it felt like a Kent 276. The power curve is normal for that type of cam using a stock head.

Just out of interest, do you compensate for airfilters and/ stubstacs as they seem to be remvoved during tuning?

Yes, checks are made to determine if the airfilter causes a restriction or improvements during the tuning process. It’s impossible to get to the adjustment screws and nuts with the filters on in some applications so removal is the only option.

After watching a lot of your videos I now find myself asking if I would be wasting my time rebuilding my twin hs2 carbs or better off spending the money in a hif44 conversation? It is for a 1275 midget. 1 carbs is half the problem gone lol. As always thanks for your vids
