I remember watching this. I was only 8 at the time. It aired two days after my mother's birthday! Boy that was such an amazing win to watch. My stomach still flips every time someone wins big in the bonus round, and this one almost made me cry when I saw it happen for the first time!

I sure wish I was tuned in myself- sometimes schoolwork can keep me back or I get very tired. I remember back in 7th Grade, one of my teachers told me about someone who won a million dollars and I was totally stunned that I missed that moment! However, it was great to learn that it was a fantastic start in the 10 years that the million dollar wedge has been introduced to us. And also, it was lucky that Charlie O'Donnell was able to live long enough to announce the first millionaire of this classic game show! Well done, Michelle!

It’s been almost 12 years can’t believe that she was the first ever million dollar winner

The odds of everything falling into place have to be as high as winning the lottery. Landing on the million, keeping the wedge without going bankrupt, winning the puzzle, winning the game after the final spin, landing on the wedge that had the million, and being able to solve the bonus puzzle. All of that had to be either sheer good luck or divine intervention.

Oh wow, to think it has been ten years since history was made with Michelle being crowned the show's first ever million dollar winner. I was a 14 year old middle school kid at the time and the buzz that this episode caused was huge, i still quite vividly remember the very next day at school when a bunch of other students were grouped together talking excitedly about the win. It was then i realized the full impact of what had just occurred, and even now it remains one of my top favorite all time Wheel moments. I'll never forget the shock on my face that night when Pat opened the envelope to reveal the super big one, my mouth was gaping wide open while my friends were all wildly cheering and screaming in joy.

When she was running with open arms I thought it was another family member coming to the stage, but no, just Vanna! :) That pure joy was the best thing to watch!
