I went to Real Madrid v RB Leipzig (Champions league game) when visiting Madrid lately. I'm a Sheffield United fan. I was amazed how quiet the Leipzig fans where before - during and after the game. All there fans looked liked old age pensioners and didn't sing or make any noise whatsoever. In the pubs and cafes before they were sat drinking coffee and maybe the odd beer. Definitely the worst set of fans I've ever come across

This video just shows again what a joke this club is....there are plenty of families with kids visiting games both at Chemie and LOK, so why would you be afraid to take your kid there? Being a former Chemie supporter who is now supporting RB - come on, are you serious? Only 12 away supporters, because both international games were midweek? All (!) international games are during the week and yet most clubs have a bigger away crowd than RB

If east german football wasn't fucked over so bad in the reunification RB wouldn't exist and instead the bundesliga would have traditonal East german teams contesting and football fans wouldnt have to choose between supporting their actual club in the 3rd and 4th tiers and RB

Well, Leipzig is still a young club. They don't have any historical events to offers compare with other Bundesliga clubs beside getting their ass bounced from 5th division to Bundesliga. But, look at them now, they try to create their history in Bundesliga, they even made it to UCL Quarter Final. Personally for me, seeing RB Leipzig squads today reminds me of what Dortmund used to be in Klopp's era, where you can see the great players, especially youngsters in the squad. They're really in the game, try to compete in Bundesliga. But, their stars like Hummels, Goetze, and even Lewandowski suddenly went to Bayern Munchen. Surely Dortmund fans chose to let their stars went to the rival with an open hand rather than trying to slay the giant that has sit on the top of Bundesliga for a long time, huh? I can see a lots of Bundesliga clubs really become Munchen's slaves Red Bull may be the son of a b*tch goddamn devil who ruin the tradition that has been sacred for German football and I agree with that. But at least, they spend the money for the right way, spend the money for the sake of football. Thanks to them, German finally have Timo Werner, a great striker for the national team. As a Manchester United, I'm jealous on how Red Bull treat RB Leipzig as a proper football club, put aside the commercial issue. They run the club way better than Glazers did to United, keeping the money for their asses instead of giving it all for club. I just hope Leipzig will be the "giant slayer" who'll threat the domination over Munchen in Bundesliga instead of become Munchen's another academy club

They basically support Red Bullshit Leipzig because of it's current success. There's Chemie and Lok available in the city, they'd pick one of them if they actually understood the real meaning of football, which is supporting the team that you identify the most no matter if they suck or not. This connection doesn't exist with RB Leipzig, since the club carries the name and badge of an energy drink company along with dozens of other clubs with the same name spread through the world. Who's going to identify with RB anyway? Maybe the employees that work in a Red Bull factory.

Besides that, the experience at Lok and Chemie is mostly safe (except at the Derby) - people believing it's unsafe probably do so because of some riots in the past (after which the clubs took action, which is somehow not taken into consideration).

Only a small amount of people are going to care about low-tier football at clubs who have zero potential to improve. Leipzig is a city too big for that. You may criticize people for that, but that's kind of a bit of gatekeeping behaviour. Most people want to see top-flight football and aren't interested in the low-ball stuff. That is not a crime. RB can fill a 40k seater stadium and east germany has the potential fans. Those clubs don't even have that capacity.

Pjanic at the Isco I don’t hate Leipzig fans, everyone has the right to support a football team. What I do hate are Leipzig as a club and what they stand for. I mean come on, they literally have an energy drink in their name. They are the epitome of everything wrong with modern football. If clubs like them are allowed to thrive, only more and more corporations are going to do what Red Bull have done.

Just because it's home of the ultras mean nothing, the big clubs are usually the ones who have to deal with plastic fans, it's only until they fall from grace where you'll see the true ultras of the club. And Juve will probably not ever fall.

A pretty big one at Leverkusen and Wolfsburg the fans are in controll due to 50+1 thats not the case with Leipzig they have 700 people in their rows of whom 17 are able to vote all of Red Bull

There is a big Difference: Wolfsburg and Leverkusen (-> Bayer(located in Leverkusen) and VW (located in Wolfsburg)) were clubs, where only the workers of the company played. With the rising success of the clubs, the companies turned into sponsors (sponsors are NOT investors) of the team. The more successful they got, the more money the companies gave them. So you have the success first, and then the money (same as at Bayern Munich or even the most English clubs in kinda way). RB is different: They are investors from an Austrian company who only went to Leipzig, because there was no other successful club in the region, which helps reaching the clubs only purpose: boosting its investors wealth. So the whole club RB Leipzig only exists to generate more money for Red Bull. So here, the money is first, then the success follows. Thats why they are different. And thats why everybody hates them! Because they outrage every German club with hard worked history. It is a distortion of competition because they buy the success instead of working for it. And thats why they will never get the same tradition (like the guy in the vid said) as the other clubs (even Leverkusen and Wolfsburg have tradition).

Yes, maybe more then in the second division but they were around 25.000 fans of Borussia Dortmund away at Hertha in Berlin last year. And in the Bundesliga mostly they are 5.000-8.000 away fans

The real clubs in Leipzig are Lok and BSG Chemie. RB Leipzig is not a Club, RB Leipzig is just advertising. Football is for you and me, not for fucking industry

@@klebinobrabo8249 pq eu gosto da iniciativa da Redbull e gosto muito do jeito q o time joga e também pq eu não me identifiquei com nenhum time da Alemanha, e também fico indignado com os alemães por serem tão preconceituosos com o RB Leipzig já que todo time tem um começo então daqui a alguns anos o time também terá tradição e títulos, como por exemplo ninguém fica bravo com o Bayer Leverkusen que também leva o nome de uma marca, então todo esse alvoroço é pq o time é novo

@@arthurmiguel4983 that's not true. Bayer Leverkusen was founded as a club where the workers of the Bayer Company played and that was before naming a club after a company was prohibited. RB exists because of marketing purposes which no other German club does, which is why with every trophy they win, everything German football stands for opposed to the other big leagues dies a little bit more. Therefore they can't build tradition but only bring shame to the German concept of football.

It’s an Austrian company not a German club. German clubs have members and are run like a democracy. Nothing about this company resembles German football fan culture

Don't forget, every "east german football club" is a plastic club! They were founded by the state in cities where the state wanted it! The players had to play where they were commanded. See Hansa Rostock, which emerged from the BSG Lauter. Great tradition!!!
