Tender Terrors
Love poems for Monsters
By T N Teague
On Werewolves and Teenage Girls
Dollhouse dreams have begun to fade,
swallowed by forests, dark and wild.
She roams where whispered fears invade,
no longer just a gentle child.
On the edge of fear, she dances,
her heart, once tender, fiercely pounds.
Childhood dreams ensnared in branches,
from lullabies to haunted grounds.
Her bones writhe with the promise of change,
a transformation murmuring dread.
She stands here, both strange and strange,
a creature of night, by terror led.
Embracing the shadows, she claims her place,
in the sinister unknown, with a monster's grace.
