Unloved but Never Forgotten
A Poem by T N Teague
***
You were deemed too violent,
Banished to wed, to fade,
To be forgotten,
To die.
-
But does not the blame lie elsewhere?
On Poseidon, cursing you for your husband's sins?
On your husband, with his relentless betrayals?
On your ancestors, gifting you this cursed, enchanted life?
-
Yet in the labyrinth of time,
Your story echoes still,
A queen, unloved but undying,
A heart unyielding to fate's cruel will.
