Yes I've got arthritis in my hands and I'm trying to learn guitar in my mid-60s. I often feel sorry for myself because my fingers are stiff and sore and here she is. Clearly gifted and playing for a long time but our bodies betray us and usually I would think most people struggle a little bit because aging makes everything our body does harder. But you wouldn't know what listening to her. Like others I feel comforted about getting older. Getting older is totally unfair and it's hell but it's the universal disease and things like this take my mind off of that frequent daily angst. She is still herself and she looks pretty damn good too. Thank you for posting this video I wish we were Neighbors.

We're so alike. I'm 71, former nurse, great grandmother, and 4 years ago, my daughter and DIL sold our home and bought an RV and a diesel truck. We are visiting all of the states. We're at 42 and counting. I never in a million years thought that we would be doing this, but it's one of the best things I've ever done. I was staying home too much, and this has given me a new lease on life. Do something that you've always wanted to. I'm sending you positive energy to find your path.,❤🦋

There’s a part of you that’s free There’s a part of you in change While you’re here on your way back home, life is your own Oh there are some things that you’ve got to see And there are some places you’ve got to go KEEP GOING While you’re here, on your way back home Choices are your own The only hero you will find is a common man Or the one living in your mind And after all of this is said and done It’s you you’re trying to find The only clue is love The only tool is learning that While you’re here, on your way back home Really not alone The only hero you will find is a common man Or the one living in your mind And after all of this is said and done Well it’s you you’re trying to find.. Huh, the only clue is love The only tool is learning that While you’re here, on your way back home, really not alone While you’re here, on your way back home, not alone

This woman has given me confidence to start singing again. I am 78 years old now but in the past I composed several songs and sung them in different venues and these were made into four albums. Sadly, I haven’t sung for around 20 years having been overwhelmed by other things. People I used to know ask me why I don’t sing anymore. So it’s never too late to get the old vocal cords polished up! Thank you!

I'm hitting a major age milestone this year. Within the past 10 years, I have separated myself from a toxic narcissistic family and escaped a violent marriage. And "at my age" I was afraid that I got old without noticing and that my life was over without ever having actually begun. I have been so blessed to realize that that simply isn't the case. I have moved across the country, found work in one of the most beautiful places on earth, built a home, and have traveled to several continents. I'm in the process of reinventing myself yet again, but this time, not out of fear or desperation, but out of joy and a sense of adventure. Eat right, exercise, use your brain and your talents daily. Then getting old will take longer and won't be nearly as terrifying.

Jonna Jinton fan here! Guess that’s why this video showed up in my feed. I took up guitar again just recently at 67 and it’s so nice to see other women-and men share their skills and beauty with the world, not just the whipper-snappers…🙌🙌🙌🏄♀️🌸🏝😉😆

Boulder Mountain. grew up right there. 😉 🎶Big breath- pause- "keep go'in." Good one 7.29.24 update: I had a difficult childhood while living there (undiagnosed autism) until I was 10. I have detested that valley. You are helping me 'reinvent' my relationship with those mountain formations as I reinvent my life. Thank you 🙏🏻😢🕊😊 your hair is perfect Say hey to Captain & Festus for me. 💛

Talk about reinvention... yes, after losing the love of my life and still mourning, I am in the process of doing just that at age 75! I moved to another state, joined two choirs, resumed my guitar lessons. Thank you, Melinda, you touched my heart! God bless you richly!

Yup! People are constantly remarking I can’t possibly be 72 as if my youthful appearance is the highest virtue rather than inner character honed by 7 decades of life. I joke “It’s because I’m so immature.” 🫤 Praise the LORD❣️🙌🏼🕊️🙏 I’ll keep growing in body, soul (mind, will, emotions) and spirit aligned with the Holy Spirit of God and none other. ✌🏽❤️🕊️❤️🙌🏼❤️🙏❤️

I reinvented myself at 50. I took a spiritual awakening trip to find out what really makes me happy. It turns out, as a child I loved to sing and write songs. I do that now, but am still unknown by most 5 years later. Just a small group on open mic friends and some musicians. Sometimes I want to quit. But I keep going because it feels like it runs in my veins.

Beautiful. I like songs with a meaningful message. Since retirement, my husband and I moved back near our hometown. We downsized to a century-old cottage, and I'm very much a part of a music community. I play a tenor ukulele, and sing mostly folk and country songs. My musician friends and I play in the community, at street fairs, rest homes, and weddings...and it's a wonderful surprise and "reinvention."

My favorite lines from this beautiful song: And there some things that you've got to see, And there some places you've got to go... When I here these chords, full of light, and these lyrics, I feel that every single day of our short life can be filled with something charming - if you decide to notice it, look closer to every simple thing,.. I hear this song and I want to live. Warmest regardsfrom 20 year old man, Russia.
