Күн бұрын"As much as we hunters all dream of a tag like this, in reality once in a lifetime tags are a funny thing. For starters, trying to draw one feels like reaching for the impossible dream. No matter how many years you continue to put in for said tag, the moment of truth, the anticipation of seeing "successful" on your application always seems to go to the next guy, continually passing you by. After enough years of applying, you grow numb to the word "unsuccessful" and come to accept the fact that you'll be old and gray before your moment of truth will come.
But when that day arrives, as it did for me early in May of 2020, the magnitude of the opportunity sets in." - Kendall Card

This was hella wholesome. When he talked about getting help with his hunt that made me feel so happy for him. I’m going hunting for elk for 15 days with my friends dad because none of his kids want to go. Never hunted a day in my life and have been shooting my new bow almost every day since I bought it in January. I respect the hunter and I definitely respect the preparation. Great video !

Dude I have a lot of respect for you with that amount of dedication to your shooting. Being confident in your weapon and physically prepared for the challenge of elk hunting is gonna go really far towards making your first elk hunt a fantastic experience. I’m excited for you.

I love videos like this, you feel every emotion that they are feeling bc we’ve all busted ass up long steep trails with heavy packs, question why the hell we put that pain on ourselves. Tired as hell from restless sleep in camp. Figure out how to outsmart a intelligent creature. Being so close to filling a tag then wind blows everything. Anger turns into amazement as in a split second it all comes together. Extreme emotion sets in and being grateful for everyones help. Then being extremely talkative while quartering out your trophy. Its the best!!!!

Such an inspirational film. As an Australian bowhunter I’ve often made comments about the dream of hunting a mountain goat. This film certainly makes that fire inside burn strong to have that once in a lifetime opportunity.

I've hiked and hunted those Idaho and Utah mountains in my 20's, 40's and now 60's!!!! It was alot easier in my 20's!!!! I enjoy it 10x as much in my 60's!!!!!! GO DO THESE HUNTS WHILE YOURE YOUNG!!!

Hunted all my life , had some crazy intense hunts , but couldn't imagine a hunt like this , straight up and down with a bow , pretty impressive

I backpacked all over the US ,Watched Goats in the Lolo Range in Montana for a day, as I hiked that area for 6 weeks, bugled Elk to within 25 feet, seen whitetail deer drinking out of a stream I was Trout fishing from about 30' away not having a clue I was there . I lived in the Teton's and watched the wolf pack edge the tree line during the Elk migration into Jackson Hole. And every time I get those types of experiences I can't help but smile, and think that the majority of the people in the United States will never have an experience like that, because they think they can't, never try in the first place. For everything we do, we lose something, it's the point of what is it a person wants. So for hunters to complain about a day in the wilderness when a guy is stuck behind his desk on the 34 floor in Chicago, go trade places with him.
