The fact is King David a man after Gods own heart committed a heinous Murder and Adultery! And God set aside David’s Sin! David praises God in the Psalms by saying “ blessed is the man who God does not impute sin”! David like us was under Grace ! and Fell just like Hank does ! King David repented, confessed his sins and penitence to ask God to restore the grace, it was’n for free. Hear Psalm 51 (NIV): 1 Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. 2 Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. 3 For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. 4 Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight; so you are right in your verdict and justified when you judge. 5 Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me. 6 Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb; you taught me wisdom in that secret place. 11 Do not cast me(Z) from your presence(AA) or take your Holy Spirit(AB) from me. 12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation(AC) and grant me a willing spirit,(AD) to sustain me.(AE) 13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways,(AF) so that sinners(AG) will turn back to you.(AH) 14 Deliver me(AI) from the guilt of bloodshed,(AJ) O God, you who are God my Savior, and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.

@@ricardosal2356 good morning Ricardo,,, this is my explanation, David did not need to repent to be saved, he was already considered righteous and saved by God.. but he was feeling bad and wanted to be feeling closer to God again.. I believe he was praying this after Samuel confronted him and David was feeling terrible about what he had done... so that was his prayer from his heart.. David was called a man after God's own heart! David was also living in an old covenant.. we live in a New covenant a much better greater covenant Jesus said! And the writer of Hebrews States, Hebrews 7:21.. also, did you know? That nowhere in the Gospel of John does John ever mention repentance, even one time! But what John does mention over a hundred times is the word believe, or believes!!! just believe in Jesus! Check it out for yourself and you will see..

@@jayheinz4624 it requires a lot of imagination to elaborate conclusions contrary to the scripture cus why God bothers to send Samuel in first place if King David had a free pass? I can elaborate a hundred and one speculations but I would land, same as you, out of the “sola scriptura”, don’t I? In the other hand see closer psalm 51 verse 14th : “Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed” In the new covenant Paul teaches that even himself after have been proclaiming the Gospel he can be disqualified. Is this is a nice gesture also from Paul?: “So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.” 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 So, my friend, you and I better keep the good discipline as Paul recommend. I heard Dr Martyn Lloyd Jones once say ' that the problem with us Christians is we always in our thinking begin with ourselves. What is a Christian the Dr asked ? It is someone to whom God has done something to not someone who has taken something up' . For me who is naturally a man who from birth desperately always felt I needed to earn points from people to be accepted this profound statement by Lloyd Jones helped set me straight . I am saved by God because He chose to save me. He did something to me He took me out of Adam - gave me new birth by the Holy spirit in which i played no part whatsoever as John 3 makes clear. I did not do this to myself. God did it My Christian life - the narrow road with the ongoing battle with the world and the devil actually has been a battle with the mind - Stop always beginning with yourself Clive ! Get the order right. Saved by God for His own Name sake purchased by the blood of His Son for His Name sake and kept for His own Name sake and loved by The Father as the Father loves the Son. Called to good deeds which he has prepared in advance for me to do. And along the way I have discovered this truth - that whilst being secure in Christ the born again believer will have to stand before the judgment seat of Christ...now that should be taken very very seriously . Yes, the once saved always saved position highlights two issues. 1. It denies the potential for sin to turn one away from God. 2. It is presumptuous...Peter denied our Lord 3 times yet said he wouldn't--now that's not only presumptuous but arrogance. The only thing we can be absolutely assured of is God's faithfulness to us. We have to have Faith to believe this; Hope that we will remain in Him with His help (Grace); and continue to surrender to Him--to Love. Faith, Hope, and Love.

If you apply the OSAS "logic" in a marriage, then this means that since you once had faith in your marriage, then now it doesn't matter how many times you cheat your wife. You will still be married and she won't be able to tell to you that you betrayed her trust. What OSAS is actually asking from God is to be like the wife in the example ... All we have to do is proclaim our faith and then we can cheat and cheat with no consequences ? no wonder that "dogma" is gaining traction in our lazy era of people that hate accountability for their actions.

The best I can say is as John 3:16 states I Believe. How that plays out to some may not meet what they believe the expectations are. The Corinthians were called brethren and were a mess. Also what I know about a person and their upbringing and life story is a microcosm of their story. As Hank rightly says “only God knows” but I have a sneaking suspicion that many who will be there may have seemed in this life not headed there.

Could it be works of the law are done out of fear of punishment, works of faith are done out of love for Jesus? The prior is done by ones own efforts, the latter are done by Jesus through someone willing to allow Him to do His work in and through them, influencing them to do things that are pleasing to Him and helpful to others? The former is done by the flesh, the latter by the Spirit. The former is about the negative letter of the law and legalism, the latter is done via the positive summary of the law and prophets, the golden rule and is about being cheerful and enthusiastic in hope. What do you mean by original sin and what's your issue with sin as a covering besides the holy spirit as an advocate if they're are verses that refer to these things?

@MJ-kd7dp Жыл бұрын
-The sting of sin is the law. -The law and sin are of the same tree (the tree of the knowledge of good and evil). -The law and sin, being of the same root, both lead to death (Separation from God). -We are cursed with the Adamic/self nature, and are metaphorically born of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (the tree of "judging")... We are hardwired to break God's law, which means we naturally bare evil fruit, e.g. lie, steal, brag, drunkenness, lusts of all forms, jealousy, murder etc etc... And we are accordingly hardwired to perpetuate our Adamic/self godhood by producing good works (e.g. 'trying harder' to stop messing up, trying to read the Bible more, going to church more etc etc)... We produce"good fruit" out of ourselves attempting to justify for, compensate for or make up for our bad words & bad deeds... These are our 'good works of the law', and they are likewise sin in God's eyes. -The fruit of faith is produced by Jesus from within us (Our spirit man in Christ)... God deemed man only worthy of death, and that's why He crucified us WITH Jesus on the cross... We are spiritually dead to Father God, and it is only Jesus' shed blood that atones for us in God's eyes... When we invite Jesus into our lives, His Holy spirit unites with our spirit, and our spirit is grafted into Him... Our spirit is grafted into Jesus, and He is Vine... He is the Tree of Life... And as we abide in Him, we manifest all forms of His good fruit, including the fruit of faith. Misc- *The words 'male' & 'female' refer to physical gender in scripture... Each of us are male & female biologically speaking... Males having more testosterone, females having more estrogen. *The terms 'man' & 'husband' are sometimes referencing our 'Spirit' in scripture. *The terms 'woman' & 'wife' are sometimes referencing our soul in scripture. (Our soul is our mind, will, emotions & personality)... Our soul is born into the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (it is born cursed with the Adamic/self godhood nature), and God calls our soul to work out its salvation, meaning once Jesus unites with our Spirit,our soul life is to die to serving our Adamic nature and sinning (producing evil fruit) and then attempting to atone for ourselves by producing good fruit out of our Adamic nature (good works for the law). *When we abide in Him, we will mess up (sin), but it is Him holding us showing us ourselves, lovingly drawing out our impurity, and we are simply to ask forgiveness and return to abiding in Him... This is how we experientially come to know that Jesus is who He said He was... This is how we experientially come to know that He is NOT what the church system of man and the rest of the world says He is... And when our soul/woman/wife has yielded completely to to our spirit man in Christ/husband, this is the salvation of our soul... It is the entering into the fullness of the knowledge of Christ... It is being "Dead In Christ"... It is the marriage of our soul to Christ, consummating in the birthing of the ManChild from WithIn us... It is entering into the I AM... It is entering into oneness with Jesus, that He live uniquely through you in unabated fashion. *(Eve was Adam's woman/wife/soul, taken from deep within his essence, and given unto him as a helpmate). *Satan and Lucifer are two different individuals... Lucifer is the serpent who tempted Eve (Adam's soul) with the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil... Adam wanted to be like God, so she got the fruit for him, and he partook of it so he could, as the serpent said, become like God. *So, who is Satan? ... After the fall and being banished to earth, Adam's heart eventually grew so hard to God that he degenerated into the individual we refer to as Satan. *Adam was a physical hermaphrodite, and gave physical birth to Cain and Abel.

I am tired of arrogant self-righteous hypocrites, religious Pharisees, who go around teaching that salvation can be lost. Let me tell you something: If salvation could be lost, then we all lost it a long time ago, because we are all guilty, dirty, rotten, hell-deserving sinners. Do you understand that? Those who believe that salvation can be lost have a completely different mindset than the genuine born-again Christian. This is why I say confidently that the proponents of losing one's salvation are not saved. To the true believer, Christ is our only hope. In Jesus we rest completely for our righteousness, sanctification and eternal life. However, to the unbelieving person who thinks he or she can lose salvation by committing sin, they errantly think they have a key role in their own salvation. The entire false doctrine of losing one's salvation is firmly rooted in self-righteousness. Those who believe that salvation is lost when a believer willfully sins are calling God a liar, Who PROMISED eternal life before the world began (Titus 1:2). Romans 10:13 promises salvation to whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord. There is no added stipulation that a person must abstain from willfully sinning. Jesus said in John 14:6 that He is the way, the truth and the life. The Scriptures couldn't be more clearer concerning this matter.

@BibleAnswerMan
@BibleAnswerMan 2 жыл бұрын
It is a good thing that you have a Christian family to pray and encourage you and your wife in raising your child in the wisdom of the Lord. There is nothing wrong with even the church you attend to be open to doing a church baby dedication and many find this to be a valuable tradition. There is no explicit scriptural mandate whereby Christians must perform baby dedications; however, there are scriptural elements being conveyed in these dedications. The parents of many denominational and non-denominational churches today publicly dedicate their children to the Lord by virtue of the fact that they want their children to serve the Lord Jesus Christ. In their understanding, dedicating their children to the Lord is tantamount to professing a commitment  before God and the church  that they will raise their children in the fear and nurture of the Lord (e.g., Deut. 11:18-21; 32:46; Prov. 22:6; Isa. 38:19; Eph. 6:4; 2 Tim. 3:14-15). In this sense, parents, their children, and the body of Christ are potentially benefited. Thus, while not necessarily supported by Scripture, baby dedications may be viewed as glorifying God. Blessings.

Nicolas Thank for you in-depth reply. Not too many people bother to respond like you did. So I do appreciate your time. 🔹Peter says that when we believed, our PAST SINS were paid for. “But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their PAST sins.” 2 Peter‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭ 🔹Just like believing has a definitive starting point, it can have an ending point too. Luke 8:13 says that some people for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away. They fall away from belief. If you don’t believe, then you don’t have Christ, and you don’t have eternal life. 🔹Dead works are works that lead to death. Dead works are sins. If you don’t have a repentant heart, then you are storing up WRATH from God (Romans 2:5). Therefore, you must have repentance in order not to have God’s wrath. 🔹Jesus tells us (Believers) that when we pray to God we are to ask for forgiveness of our sins daily. (Mathew 6:11-12). James tells us that believer who sins and wanders from truth can be brought back and saved from death through repentance. James 5:19-20 James also says that when a believer sins he will be forgiven through prayer and confession. James 5:15-16 🔹No where in the Bible does it say that repenting from sins is a form of self-righteousness. When Jonah obeyed God and went to Nineveh and proclaimed, “Forty more days and Nineveh will be overturned,” the people of Nineveh *BELIEVED* God. They showed their belief by their actions. They declared a fast, all of them, from the greatest to the least, and they put on sackcloth. They repented. It was only when God **SAW** what they **DID** and how they TURNED FROM THEIR EVIL WAYS, he had compassion and did not bring upon them the destruction he had threatened. (Jonah 3:4-10, Matthew 12:40-41). 🔹The free gift for salvation has always had contingencies on it. Even the ABC’s that many proclaim are needed for salvation are contingencies. The free gift is for those who believe, have faith, listen to the voice of Jesus, follow Jesus, and know Jesus (John 14:27). You don’t pay for the gift with your repentance, instead you BUY the truth and sell it not.

"If they fall away" is a statement that I have some confusion over. Does this mean if someone turns away and actually stops believing in Jesus as our only hope for salvation and towards something else, as in the case of someone who then becomes perhaps a Buddhist or an atheist, or does it mean to go back into a life of sin even if they still claim to believe that He's Messiah? The example of the thief on the cross (Luke @) makes some of these things even more difficult to understand. If we can lose our salvation then that thief seems to be one fortunate person as he died very shortly after Jesus told him he'd be with Him in paradise. I worry to no end because I backslid for a protracted period but have whole heartedly repented. I long to be with Him and in obedience to Him. You'll just have to take my word for it that it's a legitimate longing. Quite a few years back actually. Still, it haunts me.

The thief on the cross is easy to answer. Jesus was/is God while on earth, born UNDER THE LAW and had power to forgive sins. The thief on the cross was under the Law and was far from the ONLY person with whom Jesus forgave sin. The New Testament wasn't in effect until AFTER the Testator dies, Hebrews 9:16-17. Everyone after the beginning of the church falls under the doctrine of the Apostles, Acts 2:42 which is the teachings of the church of Christ.

Part of a tract put out by Catholic answers: "The Lord himself affirms that baptism is necessary for salvation [John 3:5]. . . . Baptism is necessary for salvation for those to whom the Gospel has been proclaimed and who have had the possibility of asking for this sacrament [Mark 16:16]" (CCC 1257). and Yet Christians have also always realized that the necessity of water baptism is a normative rather than an absolute necessity. There are exceptions to water baptism: It is possible to be saved through "baptism of blood," martyrdom for Christ, or through "baptism of desire", that is, an explicit or even implicit desire for baptism.

If OSAS is true and one can never lose their salvation once they are saved/born again, then the apostles and the millions of people over the centuries did not know it. They all died terrible deaths for Christ for no reason. They could have just renounced Jesus when they were threatened, saved their lives in the moment of distress, gone away to safety, and then continued their beliefs and their ministries later. Jesus could have prevented a lot of needless deaths by just telling people to deny Him when threatened and then go back to worshipping Him when it was safe again to do so. If one could never lose their salvation once saved, then one could deny being a Christian when their life, job, or anything else was threatened. So if OSAS is true then millions of Christians suffered and died terrible deaths for their faith and they did not need to.

Jesus, being God, knew the end from the beginning. I find it amazing that people think that because Jesus "fell away" in the end, that he didn't have a valid love for Jesus in the beginning. We are prohibited from judging men's souls. That is uniquely the province of God alone. If you look at the parable of the soils, we are told that the people who were "rocky soil" or had "weeds" were people who responded positively to the gosple, but then fell away. God never removes the free will of man - I am always free to choose throughout my lifetime - for good or for evil. Once saved, always saved is a heresy that has no place in Christianity. Those who persevere to the end will be saved. (Matthew 24:13). And the state of that man will be worse that at first. (Matthew 12:43-45)

You are so right. In those verses we read of folks who are trying to be justified by their works and Jesus says, "I never knew you." He didn't know them at one time and now He doesn't. He says, they were never saved. Of course their argument was, "We did this and we did that in Your Name." Jesus is telling them their works won't get them into the Kingdom of Heaven. He says, "Whoever does My Father's will." What is His will? John 6:40, "For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day." I think you're right, that passage among others answers this pretty clearly. There are also many other passages on eternal security, salvation by faith, etc. Thanks for sharing.

@@martin9410 U r mistaken These have been fulfilled John 6:37-39 37 All whom the Father gives Me will come to Me, and he who comes to Me I will never cast out. 38 For I came down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.39 This is the will of the Father who has sent Me, that of all whom He has given Me, I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. John 10 27-29 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. John 17:12 12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. I have kept those whom You have given Me. And none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. Now lets look at John 18 and we can see they have been fulfilled already John 18:8-9 8 Jesus answered, “I told you that I am He. So then let these go their way if you are looking for Me.” 9 This was to fulfill the word which He had spoken, “I have lost none of those whom You have given Me. If you examine these 3 passages, they all speak about the “ones given by the Father”. A common mistake is to assume this speaks of the church today. Look at what happens when Jesus was arrested in 18:8-9. It seems the soldiers were going to arrest the disciples too, but Jesus asked they let the disciples go. John wrote in verse 9 that this was done to FULFILL the word “I have lost none…”. By ensuring the disciples were safe, Jesus fulfilled His word that all of them were not lost. Thus, this closes the works in the other 2 passages since Jesus fulfilled His word in making sure they were not killed. As this was fulfilled back then, it has no application to the church today.

Aaron Michael You’ve made a common mistake by not considering the context of each passage carefully. In John 6, it is obvious that Jesus is addressing the crowd that followed Him, but certainly it is true the last passage you used prior to Jesus’ arrest does relate as Jesus stated it did. Why are you so afraid of the eternal security that Jesus insured with His sacrifice and resurrection? You are suggesting that Jesus’ sacrifice was enough to get us saved, but not enough to keep us saved? How can your faithfulness and works improve upon what Jesus has already done? Is eternal life a gift or a salary? Is eternal life something that is given or something that you earn? Name one work that you can do better than Jesus to insure your eternal future. John 5:24 is very clear that once someone truly believes and is born from above, that they will not be judged and have “already passed from death to life.” God is no respecter of persons when it comes to eternal life. His eternal guarantee of one’s redemption being sealed by the Holy Spirit is for all who come to Him.

D. L. Starkey That is an incorrect assumption. Matthew 7:21-23 tells us why those people were not let into the Kingdom and why Jesus never knew them. It is explicitly stated for us. We don’t need to make the text say more than it does. “depart from me, ye that work *INIQUITY* .” - Greek world: anomia anomia: lawlessness Original Word: ἀνομία, ας, ἡ Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine Transliteration: anomia Phonetic Spelling: (an-om-ee'-ah) Definition: lawlessness Usage: lawlessness, iniquity, disobedience, sin. So while these people profess Lord and do many wonderful works, they still practice SIN; they don’t do the will of the Father (verse 21) which includes many, many things. Jesus doesn’t *KNOW* these people because they don’t keep his commands. John 10:17, tells us that his sheep hear his voice, he KNOWS them, and they follow him. 1 John 3:6 also tells us, “ No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or KNOWN him.”

@@martin9410 "How can your faithfulness and works improve upon what Jesus has already done?" The dichotomy between Faith and Works is false since to believe is Work for the Ego just as much as anything else. The point is that the Ego cannot verb its way to Grace. If you can believe your way to salvation, then, lo and behold, there IS something you can do - ie Works - to get salvation: I believe->salvation, I stop believing-> salvations stops, I start believing again->salvation is restarted. "Name one work that you can do better than Jesus to insure your eternal future." God opened the door with his Grace, you have to go through it - that entails lots of Works and Faith.

To say you can never reject Christ after salvation is absurd. The bible also talks of a great falling away. You can't fall away from something you were never part of. We don't lose free will when we say a prayer for salvation. We must endure to the end to be saved or Jesus will erase our name out of the book if life. So much for the idea that those who fall away were never REALLY saved. Even if that were the case, then that just means none of us will know if we're really saved until the end.

@martin9410
@martin9410 5 жыл бұрын
Actually the parable of the sower doesn't say so. Let's look at one of the parallel passages in Luke 8:11-15 "11 “Now the parable is this: the seed is the word of God. 12 Those beside the road are those who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their heart, so that they will not believe and be saved. 13 Those on the rocky soil are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no firm root; they believe for a while, and in time of temptation fall away. 14 The seed which fell among the thorns, these are the ones who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with worries and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to maturity. 15 But the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance." First, the only time salvation is even mentioned is regarding the first soil: "...so they will not believe and be saved." This not only tells us they're not saved, but tells us why, "because they will not believe." The second soil are those who "receive the word with joy," but drift away because of temptation. Notice there is no mention of salvation like with the first soil. Their salvation isn't being discussed, but their fruitfulness, maturity and shallowness is being discussed. The third soil are those who allow themselves to be overcome with the "worries and riches and pleasures of this life." And notice what Jesus says about them, they "bring no fruit to maturity." Salvation is not the topic but rather fruitfulness. Then we get to the last soil and they are bearing "fruit with perseverance." Other passages speak of 30 fold , etc. So this parable doesn't say that one can lose their salvation at all. This is more a parable about the different types of soil, their response to the Gospel and their fruitfulness or lack thereof. This is probably why Jesus uses the example of the soil, which implies fruit bearing.

A servant, not a son. Jesus preached the kingdom of God, not the Gospel because He hadn't died yet. The book of Romans explains the Gospel. Once you believe and are saved you become a child of God who is sealed (marked, owned, secured, identified) by the Holy Spirit who bears witness with your spirit that you belong to God.

@@TheGreatSkull123 I'm not buying one bit of what you're trying to sell. You say _"Friend, our salvation does not hinge on our performance; our merit; or what we do. We can do nothing to maintain our salvation."_ Maybe you've never stopped to wonder why Paul warned us to "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" (Phil 2:12). Maybe you think the apostle Peter was all wrong when he warned us to "give diligence to make our calling and election sure" (2 Peter 1:10). Do you think the warning in Hebrews 12:15 not to "fail of the grace of God" was for someone else? Same goes for the warning that we can fall away _even after receiving the holy spirit_ (Hebrews 6:4-6). Here is Hebrews 4:1; to me it very strongly "suggests" that we should not ever think we "have it made": ⚫ "Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it." (Hebrews 4:1) Paul understood that even after preaching to others he could possibly return to a life of sin and become a "castaway": ⚫ "But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway" (1 Corinthians 9:27) You say there is nothing we need to do. Jesus says we must abide in Him, and remain in repentance, and overcome slavery to sin: ⚫ "If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned." (Jesus, in John 15:6) ⚫ "Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." (Luke 13:4,5) ⚫ "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death." (Revelation 2:11) ⚫ "He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels." (Revelation 3:5) Here's a few more verses refuting "once saved, always saved." ⚫ Romans 11:19-22: The apostle Paul warned that Gentiles, even after being "graffed" into the "vine," could be "cut off" the vine, just as the "natural branches" - the Israelites - had been broken off: "Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in. Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off." ⚫ 2 Peter 2:20-22 If, after overcoming sin through knowing Jesus, a person then returns to sin, "the latter end is worse with them than the beginning." "For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire." ⚫ Hebrews 10:26,27 delivers the same warning about returning to sin: "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries."

Not a proposition or deal but a relationship. This response basically says, if you turn back, you were never really saved. Under that premise, a person will never actually know they are saved until the end. There is no assurace of being currently saved under that model. In addition, we do have a biblical example of some who were appointed directly by the Holy Spirit who then turned to false doctrine. Examine Acts 20:22-31. This is Paul saying goodbye to the elders at Ephesus. In verse 28, Paul says plainly that these overseers/elders were appointed by the Holy Spirit. I don't know that anyone would accuse these elders as being "never genuinely saved". Now, in verse 29, Paul warns them that as soon as he leaves, wolves will come in to spread false teachings. In verse 30, Paul says specifically that even among them (elders) some will join them in the deception. by this person's definition in the video, those who turned were "never saved", yet Paul says the Holy Spirit appointed them as elders. I don't know that anyone would accuse the Holy Spirit of placing a never saved person intentionally in the position of responsibility of an elder in a church congregation who was never saved. So, these once saved elders later turned to false doctrines, which means to abandon the faith. The person in this video's explanation would not hold true to this biblical example of saved people who turned away from the faith.

@@TheGreatSkull123 Let me be clear. The fact that someone departed from the truth does not mean even later that they cannot repent and come back to Christ and true gospel. The point I am making here is that if someone says a person who departs proves they were never saved to begin with, then the example in Acts 20 disproves that idea. So often, many (not all) who believe in OSAS will say your current behavior, actions and decisions prove that a person is not really saved, while on the other end saying faith alone is what saves. The passage in Acts 20 shows true genuinely saved people who were appointed by the Holy Spirit would later turn to false teachings and draw others away as well, which proves a truly once saved person CAN turn to false gospel teachings and become a false teacher themselves. The other concept is that if there is anything a person needs to do to be saved they are in essence “helping God”. Let me be clear. God does not need any of our help, and in that I think we agree. However, fulfilling a request from God in order to have something does not equate to us “helping God”. When Abraham was asked to sacrifice Isaac, did God need the help of Abraham? Of course not. It was a test of obedience to test out Abraham’s faith. I believe in Jesus, but I believe in ALL of Jesus, not just some parts. His teachings included beautiful blessings and promises as well as warnings and teachings of how we will be hated by the world if we follow Him. I actually believe it is this kind of OSAS teaching that if you depart, you were never saved is truly an attack on assurance of salvation. You see, a non-osas believer would tell a person struggling with sin that they can trust God to help them overcome that sin, confess and repent from it. The OSAS person would say if a person is struggling with deep sin that they were never saved to begin with. So if a person genuinely placed their faith in Jesus in the past, and is presently struggling, they would question whether they ever got saved in the first place with such a teaching. That is a HUGE discouragement, and they may find themselves in despair feeling they can never make it. Yet a non-osas would tell the person simply this: “If you genuinely placed your faith in Christ, you were indeed saved at that point (Eph 2:8-9). Amen. However, you have fallen into grave sin, and are now a slave to sin again (Rom 6:16). But as scripture says, I am here to help lead you back to Christ and away from your error so your soul can be saved in the end (James 5:19-20). For Jesus said, it is the one who endures to the end who will be saved (Matt 10:22)” A person who believes in the kind of osas that believes if you fall into deep sin, it proves you were never saved in the first place, could only tell a person they were never really saved and your actions prove you were never a child of God in the first place. THAT is very cold, discouraging and makes you an accuser.

@@TheGreatSkull123 You said “try to disrupt the Gospel message and that even among their own group there will be people who APPEAR to be save” Where in scripture in Acts 20 do you find “appear” to be saved. Rev 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. Rev 3:5 has a condition attached to it. The condition is (He that overcometh). Rev 3:5 is telling us plainly that we are to overcome. If we don't overcome our names can be blotted out of the book of life. Think about it, your name could not be blotted out of the book of life unless it was in there in the first place right? Therefor the logical conclusion would be that even if your name is in the book of life it can absolutely be blotted out. So (ONCE SAVED IS (NOT) ALWAYS SAVED). Mat 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all [men] for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. If the fight is over once we except Jesus as Lord and savior, why is Mat 10 22 telling us that we must endure to the end? It's because the fight isn't over until we either die, or Jesus comes back. This is why we must (endure to the end). If the above verses are not enough for you, 1 Ti 4:1 says it all... 1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Did you catch that? Ti 4:1 says that (SOME SHALL DEPART FROM THE FAITH). It doesn't get any clearer than this. A person could not depart from the faith it they didn't have it in the first place now could they? Due to a persons free will, they could except Jesus at one point in their lives and then reject him at another point in their lives. I personally know people who have done this. They were Christians at one point but have walked away from the faith by their own free will. So you could not say that these people were never really saved because 1Ti 4:1 says that these people depart from the faith, which implies that they were already saved at some point. Again... (ONCE SAVED IS (NOT) ALWAYS SAVED). Remember this... Our free will is never out of play. God will never force anyone to be with him if they don't want to be. So to sum up... We must (endure to the end) because (some shall depart from the faith) causing their names to be (blotted out of the book of life) just like the bible says.

@ MLuff 1611 Yes, it's through His Grace that we are saved. That does not eliminate our free will though. It's true, he will never walk away from us, but we could still walk away from Him if we chose to. Once again... Our free will is never out of play. That said, I can't understand why any Christian would run the risk of leading someone astray with this dangerous (OSAS) doctrine. If you think it doesn't matter how you live, take a look at these verses... Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. You realize that the people referred to in Mat 7:22 and Mat 7:23 thought they were saved don't you? The wicked could care less about doing anything in the name of the Lord. So yes, these people thought they were good to go. But Jesus tells them to depart from Him. Why? Because they work iniquity. 1Jo 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. You can ignore these verses if you want, but there are several verses in the bible that tell us to keep God's commandments. Hbr 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, How clear do you need it to be? Hbr 10:26 is telling us plain as day, the sacrifice no longer remains for those who continue to sin willfully. It's really very simple. It's through Jesus Christ that any of us are saved. And right out of the mouth of Jesus Himself, He tells us all... Jhn 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Whomever the author of Hebrews is, was giving a warning to these new Jewish converts...(WHO WERE SERIOUSLY CONTEMPLATING GOING BACK TO THE TEMPLE SYSTEM OF ANIMAL SACRIFICES), ...not to go there, because if they do, there remains no more sacrifice for sin because the OLD COVENANT AND ITS ANIMAL SACRIFICES are done away with, gone, goodbye, adios...the new covenant is here and in full effect. @ MLuff 1611: It sounds like you are really trying hard to ignore key parts of Mat 7:22 and 7:23 to fit your agenda. I’ll try to help you understand these verses… Mat 7:22 “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord”… Notice that the people in this verse are referring to Jesus as (Lord). This would have to be people who consider themselves to be saved. Mat 7:22 “have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works”? Notice that these people claim to have done all these works (in the name of Jesus). Again... This is something only people claiming to be saved would say. Mat 7:23 “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you”:… What Jesus is saying here is that although these people are (claiming Jesus to be Lord), in reality, (these people do evil). How do we know this? It says it right in the next part of the verse… Mat 7:23 "depart from me, ye that work iniquity". 1Jo 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. Moral of the story… You can say the magic words all you want, but we will all be known by our fruits. Do you not know that faith without works is dead? Jam 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, beingalone. Jam 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Jam 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. Jam 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Jam 2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Jam 2:22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? Jam 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Jam 2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. Jam 2:25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent [them] out another way? Jam 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. The (OSAS) doctrine tickles the ears of lazy Christians who can’t be bothered to fight the good fight. Sure, they'll take the justification part of this in a heart beat, but when it comes to the sanctification part of this that tells us to repent and walk away from our sins, they'll act as if that part doesn't exist. So if you want to believe in this false/dead (OSAS) doctrine go right ahead. As for me, I’m just trying to help keep someone else from making the same mistake you are making. Jhn 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. There is no way to spin this verse to make it say anything other than what it says. I don’t see how any Christian in their right mind can argue against this. To anyone else who might be reading this... Jesus says to us all… If you love me, keep my commandments. And anyone telling you that you are (NOT) to keep His commandments is either in grave error or purposely trying to lead you astray.

Slikk I say this in love...truly....you are calling God a liar. You are saying that Grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone is NOT enough to save, to redeem. That the blood of the cross isn’t sufficient, it takes OUR own works, our merit, our efforts to save us or to keep us saved. You must be one miserable dude, with no security in his salvation, always wondering if you’re doing ALL that you can to “stay in good graces”...ALL that you can to do the works, gotta work, gotta keep on working to prove to those “Christians who don’t work as much as ME” that I’m a real, true blue Christian. You’re a Pharisee. You yourself are depending on your works (the Law) to save you or keep you saved. Those “Christians” who said “Lord, Lord” and were rejected all depended on their WORKS (hmm, sounds like you)...they had a knowledge of the Lord but didn’t rely on Grace through faith in Jesus Christ ALONE...they all relied on WORKS, read it again. The James 2 “faith without works is dead” reference is referring to Christians being justified in front of other Christians or other people by the works they do that shows their faith. If you say you’re a Christian but don’t go see your Mom in the nursing home, your faith is dead in front of other people. The whole context of the entire chapter is to show your faith to others by your works! James is not saying that unless you have works, you aren’t saved! Look at verses 15 and 16...James is saying to do something for others to show your faith. Look at vs 23, Abraham’s faith was counted for righteousness (Abraham is saved by faith alone) but through his work, he is “justified” in the sight of others and shows the world the faith that is inside of his heart and mind. I used to be like you. The Lord’s blessings upon you and your family. Romans 15:13

*Not unlike 9.5+/10 voices leading the church system of man, Hank is unaware of the division of the soul and spirit. *Our soul is our mind, will, emotions & personality, and it is hardwired to serve our Adamic/self nature. At times in scripture the words "woman" & "wife" are used in reference to the soul, and the woman God gave Adam as a helpmate was in fact his soul, Eve. *Regarding Once saved always saved... Our spirit is indeed forevermore saved when the Holy Spirit unites with it, which occurs when we invite Jesus into our hearts via the "sinner's prayer." Additionally, throughout life, after accepting Jesus' Holy Spirit into our spirit via the 'sinner's prayer', we are called to die to abiding in the tree of knowledge of good and evil (the tree of self/Adamic godhood) which means we are called to work out our soul's salvation... In other words, we are called to die to producing 'evil fruit' (lying, stealing, bragging, cheating, gossiping, gluttony etc etc etc), and when we do produce evil fruit (sin), we are to also die to trying to produce "good fruit" out of our selves in the attempt to atone for ourselves... We are to depart from the yin and yang cycle of sinning, apathy, fear shame etc, and then trying to rectify ourselves by "trying harder" (aka operating in good works) so as to allow ourselves to reopen our minds to daily relationship with Jesus... We are called to cease living in the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, aka living in service of the Adamic godhood nature within us. *We are instead to accept that God deemed us only worthy of death at Calvary, and crucified us with Jesus on the cross... He paid all atonement for sin, and we are to only abide in Jesus, the Vine, the Tree of Life. *When His love shows us our sin/draws out our sin nature and we mess up, we are simply to ask forgiveness and continue abiding in Him, accepting that only He through us can live sinlessly... Only He is the way, truth and life. *To elaborate on the soul's hardwired service of the Adamic/self nature... When the serpent told Eve partaking of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil would result in being like God, she, in service of Adam, gave the fruit to Adam because he wanted to be like God... Adam wanted the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil and once he partook of it, he fell into judgement/judging, consequently recognizing his nakedness, and feeling its shame... Adam even went so far as to justify himself by blaming God for his fall, saying it was the woman whom God gave him as a helpmate who gave him the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil... *Satan and Lucifer are two different individuals... Lucifer is the serpent, and after his fall, Adam's heart eventually hardened so much so towards God, that he degenerated into the person the church system calls Satan. *Salvation of the soul = Dying to service of the Adamic nature... Abiding in Jesus' within us, and as He purifies us by showing us our own sin, we in faith receive zero condemnation, thus being nourished by his unchanging unconditional love... consequently allowing Him to produce further pure and uniquely distinct Christ Light from WithIn each of us... Until the glory of Christ Himself in us is revealed unabated. Another way of describing the salvation of the soul is realizing the marriage of our own soul/woman/wife to Our Spirit in Christ/man/husband... This union's consummation births the ManChild within each of us... Entering into the ManChild is entering into oneness with the mind of Jesus, by His stripes, for we are yoked with him like two animals pulling a plow... He has paid the price for all sin, and our abiding in Him, the Vined tree of Life, brings us to & through the valley of the shadow of death-to-self so that we enter into of God's perfect will- which is knowing the fullness of His joyful love for each of us. *A few implications of what I've described... -The words "male" & "female" in scripture refer exclusively to biological gender... We are all male and female biologically speaking, males having more testosterone and females having more estrogen... -Adam was a hermaphrodite, capable of procreation himself... Adam gave physical birth to both Cain and Abel. -Jesus returns to a victorious church, meaning He returns first through His people, the bride made ready, who, by and in Christ, loose His manifest glory, setting the world in order, and healing the world. Jesus Himself then returns to HIS bride/church. But in the meantime mankind, through Adam, still has physical dominion over the earth. Additionally, having been given authority to bind and loose in heaven as on earth, the church (those whom have invited the Holy Spirit to unite with their spirit via the sinner's prayer) has spiritual dominion over the earth... ...Today the church is apostate, having loosed a world saturated in/by agreement with antichrist... All systems of man on earth, including the church system with Satan through man standing at its pulpit, have fully been given over to the very sedation, belief systems, lifestyles and people in power that we have permitted & even embraced... Consequently, these empires, namely the USA & Australia at present, will be slaughtered for having expelled Jesus, and apathetically refusing to repent for the past century. Yet God operates in paradox, and from the ashes of a militarily invaded & occupied wasteland laden with famine, pestilence & genocide, God's church, no longer mired in the oblivion of contemporary Christianity, will come forth.... He will begin lifting the veil in His chosen within these fallen empires, and begin to come forth from within each of them, and they, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, will look only unto Him, just as He looked only to the Father for 33 years, and work as one body in Holy Spirit unity to expel the occupying militaries. Things will then move towards His manifestation in fullness through His church worldwide, causing its victory at Armageddon, and thereafter He Himself will return to join His bride made ready, the victorious church with whom He is one with... That consummation births the new earth and initiates the 1,000 year reign.

The words “ once saved, always saved” have been misused. The idea is correct, but it is misleading. Scripture in John says “no one can snatch you from My hand” speaking to the genuine, truly born again Christian. I have 4 grown “baptized believers” who have walked away from God. They were never truly born again. The phrase should not be used…ever.

Then why did Christ CHOOSE him IN THE FIRST PLACE? Furthermore, coming up with clever Biblical-Bromides is ONE thing--taking a CLOSE INTROSPECTIVE look at God's WORD--QUITE ANOTHER. The New T. says Judas was, "ONE OF THE TWELVE." Ok, is God PLAYING with our MINDS here? Or does He MEAN PRECISELY what He SAYS? John "one of the 12," Paul was "one of the 12," Peter was one of the 12." I could go ON, but I think you get the idea. Also, scripture CLEARLY states that Judas was AMONG THEM! So, once again, does God MINCE words--does He PLAY with our HEADS? I think NOT! So what does AMONG THEM really MEAN? Was Judas merely HANGING OUT with Jesus, and the Apostles to watch and see what marvelous miracles might happen NEXT? New T. scripture even makes it clear that Judas even TOOK PART in those very same MIRACLES!! Wow!!! So, how could he DO that? You HAVE to be IN THE SPIRIT to DO that!! Look what happened to the 7 sons of Sceva! Judas was ACCOUNTABLE--he KNEW who Christ WAS! He was ACCOUNTABLE, and THAT's where you guys DROP THE BALL!! It isn't about "ONCE SAVED--ALWAYS SAVED," it's about, does God consider them ACCOUNTABLE by what they KNEW, and were TAUGHT!! Besides, do you NOT KNOW, that a person can start out well, but LOSE their love. Look at Lucifer. Was he not PERFECT in ALL HIS WAYS? So...what HAPPENED? Why did God ALLOW...? Read Ps. 41: 9; and Ps. 55:12. If you understand ANYTHING about CONTEXT, you would KNOW that, One: These two verses are PROPHETIC revelations about Judas; and TWO: They CLEARLY portray Judas as a DEAR FRIEND of Christ. There was an OBVIOUS TENDERNESS in their relationship. It's all TOO EASY for you to say--in light of what Judas wound up doing--that he NEVER had ANY REAL SPIRITUAL relationship WITH Christ. THAT, my friend is HIGHLY PRESUMPTUOUS!! It is ALSO BAD theology.

OSAS is a damnable heresy. Heb. 6:4,5 are describing a person's complete salvation, in it's fullness, Verse six says that if that person turns from God, and knowingly back into their previous sinful life, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, contrary to what OSAS teaches, people have, on their death beds, stated that they were once saved, but turned from God, they state in sorrow that they can't repent. They feel the pangs of hell, and cry out in agony, but still can't repent. Tell them they just strayed a little? If that doesn't work, just tell them they were never saved to begin with? They know the truth, they know they were saved, and they know they are now lost. Hebrews 6:4-6 is not a hypothetical, it is a biblical fact.

Sola scriptura, apart from 2,000 years of History and saints and church fathers, results in 40, 000 schismatic denominations. You say you go by biblical teachings. Hear the Lord in John 14:15, “if you love Me, you will keep My commandments”. So if you accepted the Lord as your savior but don’t keep he’s commandments (acts/actions/refrain to do) do you consider yourself saved any way? Read Matthew 25, all of it is full of warnings to keep up the good work. Take the verse 31 and following, there is a very specific test of acts of mercy: 31When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, He will sit on His glorious throne. 32All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate the people one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33He will place the sheep on His right and the goats on His left. 34Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger and you took Me in, 36I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you looked after Me, I was in prison and you visited Me.’ Read all four Gospels, there is no mention of “once saved always saved”. If He began a good work He will bring it to completion means that we are heaven bound meaning we are saved period. EO have no assurance because most are unregenerate! Self righteous trust in ones own works will never pay a debt that could ever be paid by those who are dead in their sins! EO don’t see themselves as “dead men walking” and continue in their supposed work into heaven. It doesn’t work this way. Nichodemus was a great example of this. Most people will walk away from following Jesus as their Lord and savior because it is a a difficult walk. One must deny himself and pick up his cross. Most are not willing to do this. It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them.” (2 Peter 2:20-21) 🔹”Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. And **IF** anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.” (Rev 22:18-19) 🔹” **IF** anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand, they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.” (Revelation 14:9-11) 🔹 “ **IF** you love Me, keep My commandments.” (John 14:15) 🔹” **IF** anyone does not love the Lord, let that person be cursed! Come, Lord!” (1 Corinthians 16:22) 🔹 “No one has ever seen God; but **IF** we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.” (1 John 4:12) 🔹”As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. **IF** it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. Can't make the mistake of ignoring the two natures of the believer. Our "natural bodies" have a natural inclination to sin. The "good work" Christ began in us is a *spiritual* work, having nothing to do with our flesh (John 3:6, 6:63)! The good work will be completed in our physical body when Christ returns for His Church (1 Cor. 15:42-54). Judging who is or isn't saved is not our job, preaching the *truth* of the gospel of Christ is! We are given no direction to make any determination of who is saved and who isn't. It's impossible to make that determination based on the actions of corruptible flesh! Believers are told in 2 Peter 1:1-11 we must "add" to our faith or we could possibly be "barren" or "unfruitful", and may even forget we were "purged" of our sins (vs8-9). That passage should prove to anyone we cannot judge who is saved based on the actions of the flesh! John tells us we can *know* we're saved if we have believed the record God gave of His Son, not by making observations of corrupted flesh (1 John 5:10-13). The confidence of our salvation is based on God's Word, not corruptible flesh.

Seriusly ? Where does Hank get all this stuff about Judas? Can people not fall into sin? Can peopl;e not turn their backs on Christ? Many, who like Hank claim they have an assurance, sealed by Holy Spirit, 'born again' etc have done just that. They have abandoned belief in God and become atheists and enemies of the Bible. Hank can't argue that they were never really 'sealed', born again , 'saved' etc because their testimony was just as real as his. But just like some mentioned by the Apostles in the NT, they abandoned the way of truth . Interestingly, since Hank converted to Orthodoxy, many of his former brethern believe that he is now lost and no ,longer saved.

This could be a matter of semantics but true salvation is basically transactional if properly understood from the perspective of Christ. The transaction according to Jesus is a life exchange, we give up our physical life and everything that comes with it in exchange for the eternal and abundant life offered by grace and by Christ. No trade = No deal=No Salvation. It is a simple trade and not at all "works" in the Biblical sense. The Scripture evidence for this is recorded in all synoptic gospels. He who loves his life shall lose it and he who loses his life for Jesus or for the gospel will find it. What does it profit... and we are bought with a price.. for what purpose other than to be wholly owned by our new Master. Only a transaction can mark a starting point whether it is internal or external. Transformational is a process with a variable timeline. 1 John 2:19 answers this argument pretty straightforward. "They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that it would be shown that they all are not of us." If you can leave the faith, you were never of it to begin with. I am sealed to the day of redemption. My sins, past, present AND future are paid for. I still ask forgiveness on a daily basis because I want to be in fellowship with God at all times, but that has to do with my quality of life on EARTH. That being said, what you do on this earth after you get saved will be brought under a microscope at the Judgement Seat of Christ and you will either have a greater reward or loss based on the fruit you produced. So, in essence, some will probably have bigger mansions than others.

Strefanasha If you read a few scriptures before and after 1 John 2:19 you'll see John is talking about people who perpetrated themselves as followers of the Way, but were actually unbelievers. 1 John 2:20‭-‬22 "But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all know. I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it, and because no lie is of the truth. Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son." There are other scriptures that back up 1 John 2. Ephesians 4:30....sealed by the Holy Spirit...for one In regards to Hebrews 6:4-6, the key word in the passage is "if" in verse 6. Hebrews 6:6 "If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame." The writer of Hebrews is setting up a hypothetical statement: “IF a Christian were to fall away . . .” The point being made is that it would be impossible (IF a Christian falls away) to renew salvation. That’s because Christ died once for sin (Hebrews 9:28), and if His sacrifice is insufficient, then there’s no hope at all.The passage, therefore, presents an argument based on a false premise (that a true Christian can fall away) and follows it to its senseless conclusion (that Jesus would have to be sacrificed again and again). The absurdity of the conclusion points up the impossibility of the original assumption.

Keep it in context. It is not saying what you are using it for. You are misleading people. "...even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us." It is taking about anti-Christs. These are those who oppose Christ. Also, it says "that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us." NOT ALL... so it is not a principle. It is a statement that some were from them and some were not and we do not know by their leaving which were and which were not. So it direct contradicts what you said.

@@TheGreatSkull123 This is the most interesting article on that topic. Calvin invented that idea you cling to. It is not an historic doctrine saved believers have held at all in the Church at any time prior to the humanist lawyer, John Calvin. pintpipeandcross.wordpress.com/2016/08/29/the-early-church-believed-in-once-saved-always-oh-wait-no-they-didnt/

@@TheGreatSkull123 Consider also that the word for "predestined" only appears 6 times in the New Testament, 5 of those by Paul and 1 by Luke, Paul's traveling companion. None of the other authors of the New Testament, and especially not Jesus, ever use this idea. In addition, the word is completely and obviously mistranslated, based on a biased held in advance about the passage in which it appeared. I can prove this with a break down of the word. προορίζω comes from πρό + ὁρίζω πρό = fore ὁρίζω comes from ὅριον ὅριον = border, boundary, or limit ὁρίζω = to set a border, boundary, or limit So the term is to set a boundary for in advance. You can see it in operation in Romans 8:28 Ὅτι οὓς προέγνω, καὶ προώρισεν ... Because those whom he knows in advance and he sets boundaries for in advance ... The verbs are aorist tense, which is a timeless tense, which the timeless Present Perfect in English is to it. "I say" does not tell you when you say, now, yesterday, last week, but that you do it. The focus is on the action, not the time. This is how aorist works. Many translators translate aorist as past tense some of the time and anything else all other times. They refuse to translate it correctly, because they want it to reinforce their doctrine. I am a Linguist by my first profession and a theologian by my second. So I form my theology by what it says, not altering what it says to fit my theology. I suggest you pay heed to your doctrine so it conforms to the actual Testimony of God as it is actually written. Let go of the doctrines of men and embrace God's own Testimony.

Once saved always saved is Calvinism. I don't know how the church got duped into adopting a Calvinist point of view on soteriology but it's wrong. We can certainly have a high degree of certainty if we are talking about God's desire to save us, but we must hold on to that. If we turn from the gift, and live in complete disregard of God's moral code how can we expect for God to take us seriously. Make sure you have works that are at least made of hay or stubble so that when they are tried with fire there is at least smoke. Better yet make sure your works are silver or gold so that our lives honors God and He can tell us "Well done good and faithful servant". Jesus said if you love me keep my commands.

Once saved always saved,, are the words of Jesus himself!!! I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish and never means never!. She who believes in me, shall never die! Check out all the Bible verses that say who you are, in Christ!!.. sealed until the day of redemption by the holy Spirit.. and by the way, I do not agree with the calvinist view..

@@jayheinz4624 You ignore all of Jesus words which warn about being faithful unto death then. Our good works can never be good enough, but faith without works is not a saving faith. Those are Jesus' words too. God bless.

@@yoshkebenstadapandora1181 Yoshke, that is an interesting name? Do you mind if I ask what country you're from? Ephesians 1:13 - 14,, two things only have to happen to be saved and it is to listen and to believe and then you are sealed with him, Jesus ,,by the holy Spirit! With regards to standing firm , the apostle Paul was speaking to the Corinthians and no doubt maybe only 60% of them were truly born again and saved. He was encouraging them, not warning them to hold fast, not forget what he had taught them about salvation. And at the same time, speaking to the unbelievers , who had only understood a part of the Gospel but had not accepted Jesus as Savior. In that time maybe only 20% of those in the church could read so these things, Paul's letters had to be read to everyone. And Paul wanted to make things very clear to those that were sitting on the fence so to speak. And also that they would not sway from the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. There's no works involved !we do not keep our salvation by works !we are saved by grace and faith alone.
