I live in those lonely places west of the Mississippi. It took an Italian to know what these haunting, desolate, beautiful places sound like to the human soul. I would love to go to Copenhagen to hear this beautiful group of people perform.

The combination was unprecedented, and after nearly 60 years, the vision is still unsurpassed.

No pretentions - they kept to the score. Nothing added - nothing taken away - - they played it perfectly - in essence - a beautiful rendition..

THIS "LADY MAESTRO" IS SO UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME. YOU CAN TELL THAT SHE IS ACTUALLY LIVING EVERY SINGLE NOTE COMING FROM HER WONDERFUL ORCHESTRA. UNBELIEVABLY SUPER. ❤❤❤❤❤

I start listening repeatedly throughout the year and each time listen til the end and reflect back on the first few times seeing and loving the movie in my youth and at a different level now as I enjoy all the years made possible by God for me to be on his good green earth 🌎

I cannot find the words to justify the brilliance of the Danish symphony orchestra..only to thank each and every one of them for their musical perfection and keeping me and thousands of others entranced throughout this lockdown ..x

This movie was the Greatest Western Ever Made, IMHO.

This orchestra is not afraid to use alternate or lesser know instruments in order to achieve the sound they deem necessary. All of their conductors are phenomenal, but this young lady here is fearless when it comes to alternate sounds. The chorus is superb, the instrumentalists are just off the charts great, and Tuva is. . . .Tuva. How can one even describe her; I have no idea why she is not better recognized, considering what she does and how she does it. Actually, that goes for the entire group; they’re all superb. I just love this orchestra and am in absolute awe of each and everyone of them. Humongous thumbs up!

It was the BEST rendition of the music behind the BEST American Western movie ever made. The movie was an Italian production, influenced and inspired by the all-pervasive American culture. The movie in turn influenced and inspired American filmmakers to come up with great and memorable movies like The Wild Bunch, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and The Unforgiven where the good, the bad, and the ugly all had stories worthy of telling and knowing.

The greatest movie score of all time. And the greatest western of all time.

Maestro you are dead, but your music compositions will be immortal. Thank you Morricone!!

Couldn't understand the tears watching Once Upon a Time in the West until I realized, its the music. You can have your Mozart and your Brahms. You can take your Williams and your Zimmerman. Ennio Morricone, that is the real deal. How a bunch of Danes dug so deep into his heart and soul is a mystery. But thank God for that. Love it.

Absolutely fantastic music. I saw this movie in Germany in1970 when I was in the Army--fell in love with the movie and the music. Then went to Vietnam and, as we sat in bunkers, they played the last part of the score with the lady singing as the Armed Forces Radio signed off at midnight. Incredible times, incredible memories. . . ., for all the bad and unfortunate things people do, we can still make music like this. . .,

After barely escaping a communist country I managed to wind up in Arizona. The way this music makes me feel, the way it relates to the desert and it's picturesque scenery. How it captivates you. It's undeniably beautiful, and demands your respect... Morricone was a master artist and he paints pictures with his songs...

The great man has passed away today. He was a titan that spanned the world of film music. He brought us some of THE most iconic music we have ever been privileged to hear. His music defined a whole genre of film making. For me, this plaintive piece of music feels very fitting at this time. Riposo in pace Maestro. In my will, I will specify that the theme of "Once Upon a Time in the West" plays at my funeral. It is the most beautiful piece of music I have ever heard.

Imagine all the years and decades of love for music, the hard training day after day.... Then all the practising, the organisation, the solving of conflicts, the decisions, the learning to cooperate, the honing of every sound, correcting imprecisions in the tempo.... If we stringed each of the musicians´ decades of practice one after another, we would get millennia. We´d get into the times of the Ancient Rome. Imagine what must have come together to create this out-of-this-world masterpiece!

I love this small country called DANMARK, where I had de pleasure to live for a short period. For me, Scandinavians are the most advanced people in the world: they are centuries ahead of any other nation, considering material, non-material, ethical, intelectual and spiritual points of views. I wouldn't say that danish have the same warmth as we, latin people have, but they are amazingly nice people with a good heart, perhaps even naive at some point, which give them the beauty of a childish good heart. I really love them Iin this version you can appreciate their perfection and purity of feelings. I had de gift of watching alive Morricone's last concert at ARENA DI VERONA pre pandemia... would love to travel back to Denmark to see this performance. Favel

After many years of listening to music on KZfaq, I am ashamed to admit that I got to know the Danish Symphony Orchestra by accident, but I can say that I have been a regular listener ever since. I have listened to many symphonic orchestras, but the Danes fascinate me. Tibor...from Hungary.
