Good casting of Zac & Ava - physically they look believably like siblings. The father is a monster. This film was produced two years before Timothee was nailed repeatedly in the ass by Armie Hammer 🔨

J'ai regardé ce film parce que j'adore Timothée Chalamet. C'est un film étrange. J'aimerais lire des analyses, des commentaires. Il y a quelque chose de l'atmosphère d'une secte, d'enfants élevés dans un monde à la fois familier et oppressant, qu'ils ne comprennent pas. Que sont ces pouvoirs qu'ont ces enfants ? Est-ce qu'ils symbolisent leurs potentialités, leur aptitude à vivre autrement, leur révolte ? Les deux parents morts, ils brûlent la maison. C'est symboliquement très fort, violent et salvateur à la fois. Mais vers quoi vont-ils aller ensuite ? Pourront-ils s'épanouir ? Je n'avais jamais entendu parler de ce film. Je suis heureux d'être tombé dessus par hasard. Merci KZfaq pour ce cadeau, qui tombe le jour de mon 69e anniversaire, dans un moment sans joie.

Nice movie 👍 the parents already knew ther powers & especially the father terrified & cruelly punished them when disobeyed him, & ther mom, whats wrong with her? She could not breathe & she haved trombosis or something like that& she died !!! Finally.& the girl & the boy can live & do werever wanna do or use there powers.scary parents especially ther father. It reminds me a bit of the movie Voyagers, slow, dark, and interesting. I walked away intrigued and slightly perplexed, unsure if I liked it or not. Also, that was one heck of an ending. To be honest, before zack said, "and i'm just going to have to learn to live with that." I totally thought he was gonna kill himself. His sister was gonna come back, find him dead, and then kill herself. So yeah. Overall, the ending was kind of bizarre. None of my questions were answered. Nothing was explained. Throughout the whole thing, you're like, "What in the world is going on??" And then the credits play, and you're like, "What in the world is going on??" Which is interesting. I didn't dislike it, but I didn't love it either. Like I said before, I'm mainly just perplexed, and intrigued.

The punishment scene was sad.

I do not understand their powers. How did they get them in the first place? Why did Zac and Eva zap themselves out of their room but reenter the house through the front door? Why did Zac not zap himself out of the closet? Because it was dark? Why did their powers kill living things (the bird and the dad)?

The pacing of this film was too slow. It could've been edited down just a bit more. I get the mood-setting, but that was pretty much achieved at the beginning of the movie, why stretch it out? As for Zac and Eva's ability, was it line-of-sight teleportation after all, because I could have sworn one of them made a comment about teleporting somewhere based on their memory of the location (like in the movie "Jumper")? This movie had so much potential...I just think it wasn't executed properly. No shade to the actors -- they did their job -- but the movie made me feel like these characters had much more potential but was wasted mostly in silence and brooding. Sorry, but this was just a tough movie to get through.

Stupid movie is so dark you can't see what is happening

Really great acting but I didn't get the storyline. There's no real explanation on how they got the powers or who had them in their family or why they were separated or who built that wall and how come there are no planes flying over the cars in the distance or whatever just regular things that you see in society or no here no matter how far away you are
