I respect, that you are not rushing into competition and are building your strength systematically. Armwrestling as a sport especially wears on your arms especially if you get into grindy pulls. That's why I honestly want to be quite a bit stronger than any of the competitors before my first competition in order to avoid such pulls as likely as possible and end matches quickly. Still got quite a distance to go but the changes you see when you develop your strength naturally is the most interesting.

Agreed. Losing in arm wrestling means that you end up doing a overloaded eccentric, which is very damaging and hard to recover from, so that's why I rather build my strength up before competing, since I would think doing both (while losing a lot) would make gaining strength harder. Like my progress is already kind of slow, so dropping stuff like that on top of my current program might put my process into a halt.

Notice that the rope attached near the right arm and is significantly further away from the left arm, which makes it so that the right arm gets most of the vertical force and the left arm is just there to stabilize the movement. So the left arm does do something, but it isn't as involved as the right arm is. I recommend you try this movement out. I really like it.

@@tonyarmwrestle185 Are you saying I should call this movement something else than _"one arm tricep push down"_ ? If so, then what would be a better name, since two arm tricep pushdown doesn't describe this movement either?

@@tonyarmwrestle185 interesting😂 However though, ☝😌I think it would need its own name, like _military press,_ _smith machine bench,_ etc. How about the Finnish push down, or Mella push down?
