Wow, Zed went from being a villager to being an interdimensional William Tell to being an arrow himself in just under half an hour! Impressive!

If I'm watching Zed shoot himself through 3 dimensions before the video is released, does that mean that he actually shot himself through 4 dimensions (nether, over world, end and time)?

That death message was the delicious cherry on top of that delicious, though deadly, cake of interdimensionality with arrow frosting and stuffed with slimey, redstone goodness.

How's this for a potential Z-vancement: Kill each hermit with stealth (ie so they can't tell from the death message it was you) and each by a different method. You could call it 'Anonymurder.'

if you want to do the wierdest death message, try being in a minecart then pushed by a piston and falling onto a top half waterlogged slab. it gives the death message "death.fell.accident.water"

to answer the reason some of the beacons are gradients: when a beacon beam passes through another beacon it actually counts as a white piece of glass, so it is actually going white-whitered-lightred-red instead of instantly becoming red

FYI - Actually, Impulse helped with the Diamond Beacon also. He completed the first layer so it would be activated for your use after he completed the Emerald Beacon.

Here's a "Zedvancement" for the slightly older crowd: "Elementally Animated Journey" Travel 500 chunks on foot, starting out with nothing but a stack of wood in your inventory. Other hermits whom you informed beforehand are allowed to aid or hinder you as they please, but they may not kill you directly. Edit: I was informed that you only have 3/4 of that available to you, but this is still possible if you make a 90° turn at the mid-point. ;D

Is zedaph the one haunting Joe? Joehills has at several occasions been bombarded by volleys of intangible fire arrows... If portals are involved it suddenly makes some modicum of sense

The mob-stack-all trophy needs to be turned into a mini trophy stack!

Hello friends, and welcome back to the Zedvancement News with me, Reporter Ness! After a short break, we are back with another trophy attempt, and boy is this one a doozy, folks. We love our Zed for his science--his way of bending Minecraft mechanics to his will--and this challenge puts that creativity to the test. Dead armor stands, fiery trapped portals, unsuspecting friends (well, they might be a little suspicious)--this episode has it all! The egg hunt results allowed us to hear etymological morphology in real time! Surely fascinating for the linguists in the audience. I won't spoil the results of either of these things...watch to find out just how Zed can shoot himself in three dimensions! Side note: I camped at spawn for several days during the break... after that cryptic message, how could I not? I saw only shadows...but they looked like semi-transparent players. Not sure of my next steps in this little side mystery, but something is definitely happening.

Idea for a Zedvancement: Build secret rooms in every hermits base, and live in them for a (minecraft) day without them noticing

Zed really could have named the mob stacking achievement mobelisk

For the "The Mob Mobile!"-advancement, remember that the next update will bring frogs, which will bring the number of dangleable mobs to 24, a better number for divisibility (6 in each quadrant)

These Zedvancements are starting to transcend dimensions. I love it!

Now I really want to see Zed bewhilder another hermit by firing arrows/snowballs/whatever through their portal whilst they're hanging out on the other side. Better yet, do it invisibly so they cannot find the source of the projectiles. Or even frame a mob (say a crossbow-wielding piglin), and then proceed to continue the bewilderment after the other hermit has found and dealt with the alleged culprit.

Two Zedvancement ideas for you! "Space Battle" - You and one or more other hermits have a PvP battle, but you're all flying over the void. "Stairway to Heaven/Highway to Hell" - build an elaborate staircase all the way from the height limit down to bedrock with a hole opening up to the void.

This is actually a really cool idea, hopefully it gets the views it deserves. Also, Pearl getting hypnotized by the portal before it shot at her was fun.

Perhaps, the copper beacon would look better with the colors inverted, like an hourglass, first with the glass more "copper like" and on top glass more greenish.

I wonder if Zed's fire-arrows through dimensions are in any way related to the two instances of ghost fire-arrows Joe's seen?

I was having trouble understanding the Zedvancement until you completed it and then I was like, OH!!! Now I get it! ha ha - I thought it was great how you got Beef and Pearl to be so suspiscious of the portal. great job as usual Zed! Such fun this season - which isn't new at all!!!

Zedaph is the most underappreciated hermit. 😂

You should have a zedvancement where you have to work with every hermit in any zedvancement and call it Group Project with a little diorama of every single hermit together.

You should do a advancement by completing every mini game in the server, this will probably work better if you save it for later in the series though!

Seeing this gives an idea for a mini game. Where you can set some Armor stands in one dimension and let the players hit them and count how many Armors did one player hit. The player with more Armor stand wins. Wins a Ztrophy

Zedvancements: they begin with some simple animals, and now they traverse dimensions, breaking the boundaries of space and time. Who knows what comes next? The laws of (albeit already questionable) Minecraft physics do not apply to a man as remarkable, as innovative, as truly wacky, as Zedaph.

New Zedvancement idea: dig straight down from surface to bedrock until you find one of everything in the following list: water, lava, one of each ore (deepslate and stone), a cave, a ravine, a spawner, and a new stronghold. I would call this Zedvancement something to do with gold digging, but you can come up with the name.

The reason for the colour grading on like the coal beacon is that the beacon underneath shines through the other beacon and a beacon works like it shines through a wight Glas Block

You know Zed has been interacting with different hermits for every advancement so far. Almost like it's a secret zed-vancement 🤔 either that, or he just likes grabbing whoever happens to be on at the random times he's needing another person 😁

I started watching you this season and I am having a blast. These challenges are always so fun to watch and they really spice up the viewing experience! Also when you cut you mudering the wandering trader I just completely died.

These zedvancements are so impressive they’ve gone inter-dimensional and so much so I’d mistake them for being a new secret achievement in MC, these zedvancements are reaching new kinds of levels I don’t even have a word for now

those posed armor stands look like a room full of mannequins from a supernatural horror scene. posed in positions like they're frozen until you turn away. well done with all the effort in that gag. it was as entertaining as it was unsettling.

You could do like "Boss Bar Trio" where you fight a with and ender dragon and raid at once because they all have the boss bar at the top but you'd probably need some help with that

Zed , you should do an achievement, similar to your mob stack one , of longest chain of flying mobs , kind of what tango and impluse did last season with slow falling potions and horses , but get loads of hermits involved and see make 'the longest floating conga line' (name could do with some work)

You need to do an advancement called the “hermit head haul” find creative ways of getting hermits heads, killing, stealing etc. would love that!

The 3 dimension arrow shot has to be one of the most creative things I've ever seen, it was really cool. Congrats on another Zedvancement! Also, watching Pearl and Beef get confused over the arrows was funny.

Can you chain teleport an arrow through portals? For example having another portal where the armour stands were. Then another portal in the overworld next to the armour stands portal etc... Could you make a loop? 🤔

New Zedvancement Idea : Killing all mobs / getting the mobheads of all mobs.

You should get a set of every kind of armor in the game (the base 16 colors of leather armor, chain mail, iron, gold, diamond and netherite) with max enchantments. Could call it "Fully Suited Up” as a continuation of the base “Suit Up” advancement in the game.

Zedvancement idea: "Common thief" Steal a stack of something (useless to the other hermits) from their chests

IDEA FOR ZEDVANCEMENT: Place curse of binding on specific items for that Hermit only WITHOUT THEM KNOWING! Example: Scar’s elf ears, Impulse’s Dwarf Beard, Grian’s man bun/easteregg.

Pearl's and Beef's reactions to the trapped portal were hilarious -- though I think my favorite part of the vid is when the cam account loaded the portal and just CLANG. It fell into the end XD

didn't realize beacon beams would gradient between colors that's so cool! leather armor is the only other colorful thing I can think of that can be dyed more than just the basic 16 colors in Minecraft that armor stand "willing participants" set up was certainly something.... 😬 OMG the hail of arrows coming flying back through the portal omgggg so interesting that Pearl didn't include this test in her video! that arrow-portal science was genuinely so impressive. you're trailblazing trails no one ever thought to blaze before!

18:30 If I'm not mistaken, only one arrow damages you because the instant the first one hits you (or at least, the first arrow that the game processes,) you flash red, gaining a half-second of invincibility. All of the other arrows hit you in that time.

Zedvancement Idea: make an Inter dimensional super smelter/refiner. Maybe have it collect resources from the nether, get the resources to the end, smelt them, bring it back to overworld, and deposit into a storage. Each dimension plays a role. Nether harvests resources, end smelts/refines resources, overworld stores them.

The cutaway at 16:45 after you pulling out your sword had me laughing so much XD great vid Zed!

I woke up to several more KZfaq notifications than I was expecting. Apparently I've added more MCC players to my subscriptions list than I realized since the last one. Figuring out which MCC perspective to watch first (and which ones not to watch at all, since some are from the same team) felt a bit overwhelming for while I was eating breakfast, and I was in too much of a video watching mood to just set my computer aside for later. Luckily, the notifications also provided a solution. Wonderful wacky Zedaph zaniness! Perfect. I'm glad the All 3 Dimensions! bow was recoverable.

17:56 the reason why the arrow didn't get launched was because of how you used the lever on the piston, you made it 0-tick, and essentially that just teleports the block instantly to the resulting position. i think it might've worked fine if you powered the piston in a way that doesn't break the power source in the process

I love that Zed enjoys Minecraft in ways that others don't even think about, but once we see what he's done, we want to try it. :)

Zed and all the others actually came joint 5th. the way it works is you skip the 2nd & 3rd place bc there are 3people infront of Pearl & 4people before Zed and the rest. This is what they do at international sport competitions like the Olympics. Great vid too Zedaph
