I was born and raised in Hannover and have lived in the US for over 40 years. Can't wait to move back home. So many places you missed. The Eilenriede, the Maschsee and the list goes on.

The Eilenriede and Maschsee are great things to do if you're living in Hannover, but not really something to see for those visiting just for a day. That's cool you're from Hannover! Where in the US are you living, and how do you like it in comparison?

In 1945 it was considered to rebuilt the city from scratch 30 km further southwest cause the destruction was so immense.. Gives you a bit of perspective about it being „ugly“

Definitely the best Kiosk in the city! Just a little too far to walk in the amount of time. We'll include it in another video for sure!

Would you say that Hannover if wheelchair friendly? How about use of the local trams and trains with a wheelchair?

Hannover is pretty wheelchair friendly. Almost every tram stop is also accessible, as is every train. It's also a very flat city, so there are no steep hills.

Well, you still found some things to visit in Hanover, more than i would have thought of. 😊 As for "Brick Gothic", you find most of that in more northern Cities, like Lübeck, Hamburg, Stade, Lüneburg, Bremen.

Wow, Hannover is a lot more boring than i expected. No wonder there is no docu/reportage on NDR about the city itself. I'm from Berlin and i'm soon going to visit Hannover for 2 days. Thanks for giving me a first impression, i'm definitely going to have the same Spätzle.

Best things about Hannover? Being less than 2 hours of train travel away from Bremen and Hamburg (visit MiWuLa there)..... Hannover was completely flattened down during WWII by the British!

Bremen and Hamburg are two awesome cities and are super close to Hannover! That’s why most people visiting Hannover would probably just come for a day trip. It’s also too bad it was so destroyed because old photos of Hannover were so beautiful.
