The old ways,looks easy but would make interesting watching how city folk would cope in a whole year with no help,disaster I think. There’s a natural down to earthiness and beauty to this humble way of living, I imagine the same for hundreds of years. I learnt a lot watching this young lady going about some of her daily chores but imagine that’s not half of them!

Oh my goodness - fried bread - my favourite. My grandparents made this all the time but now it is frowned upon as unhealthy. Sometimes I do it in the fry pan when no one is looking! Love all your preserved food - had a bumper tomato, plum and potato season this summer in NZ. God bless your country, your family and keep you safe.

Це колись так жили в селі,ще з дитинства пам'ятаю,але було також дуже цікаво і смачно:хліб з печі,гриби і сливи сушені,голубці,м'ясо тушене там.А зараз в селах газ,тому більшість живе комфортно і більш сучасно,особливо молоді.

Щиро радію цьому відео,сумувала за моєю землячкою,за нашим поліським щоденним побутом.Жили собі люди мирно,трудились,щоденні клопоти приємно додавали радості і впевненості в завтрашній день,та два рки тому,біду принесла рашистська орда,чка здамала наш спокій,наші мрії,наш побут,нас бомбили і знищували і по сьгоднішній час спокою не маємо,хлопчики наші захищають свої родини,свою країну,багато жінок з дітками повиїжджали за кордон,щоб зберегти життя своє та дітей,та нема тут того,що є вдома в Україні,ностальгія за рідними людьми щодня гризе душу,а особливо,коли чоловік,брат,чи син чи дчдько на фронті,в небезпеці.Катя змарніла,стомлена і очі сумні сумні,а жити якось потрібно,ростити дитину і робити щоденну хатню роботу,а головне,щоб у її сім'ї склалося все якнайкраще.Тримаймося українці ,ми сильні.Привіт з Риму.Італія.

Hallo! First time Canadian viewer here. Wasn't too sure how that stew was going to turn out what with frying the carrots and onions in all that oil and then putting in back in the pot but that sure turned out good! Its a wonder how you stay so slim until I see how hard you work. No excess calories there when you burn it all up working so hard!! I love your heater/stove! I've seen that design in eastern Europe or Russia before and they are a fantastic piece of engineering. Thanks for sharing a part of your life.

Vídeo fantástico, te acompanhamos de um vale longínquo cercado de montanhas com mais de 4.000m de altitude, imagine que para chegar aqui só a pé ou a cavalo. É realmente como voltar no tempo! Nós vivemos como antigamente a não ser pela antena de internet por satélite! Para fazer compras é necessário um dia de viagem e por mais surreal que seja o lugar onde vivemos nós sempre te assistimos e curtimos seus vídeos desde uma casa ilhada por rios de águas termais com cachoeiras cristalinas no coração da selva andina e sem vizinhos!
