I’m sure during both the 25th anniversary of Les Mis and of Phantom of the Opera, Ramin must have been absolutely ecstatic to be getting to sing alongside his idol(and even opposite him in a charity production of Les Mis that Sir Cameron did where Ramin was cast as Valjean and Colm was the Bishop).

@@tijay8507, what a lucky little girl. An extraordinary opportunity for someone who is so young. I would've loved that sort of chance as a child. Her parents must be very supportive of her, & proud of such an achievement. I hope she stays 'on course' through the years & doesn't do as so many youngsters do when growing up & let go of their childhood interests & hobbies for the teenage lures... as I did, (as did my sister too & many of the other people that I danced with). My own goddaughter was naturally very talented in all athletics but at a young age she started waning in her interest when she saw what her peers were doing whilst she was training. She's now coming up 15 in a matter of days & the only sport she does now is at school. It saddens me greatly to see her waste her talent & the fact that she lost her dreams at such a young age breaks my heart. It's such a waste but unlike your goddaughter mine did not have the unrelenting support of her parents, & their never ending complaints of driving her around to training, games & competitions added to the demise of her love of sports & continuing in this field. Obviously I tried telling her my own story & how I regretted the choice I made but of course when young you never listen to the advice of those who are older than you & that have gone before you & made these mistakes first & learned to live with their regrets! Kids are prone to making bad life choices, not their fault, they have no life experience, which is why the support of the parents & adults around them is so important. Keep encouraging & applauding your goddaughter & be unrelenting when the teenage years come! Remind her that they are only 7yrs long but adulthood is long reaching & the regrets follow throughout them! If she wants a career 'treading the boards' then she'll need to use those 7yrs of teens to her advantage, work hard & learn to look to the future, keep her eye on the prize & not bemoan the missed parties etc. I wish her all the best, & hope she achieves the dreams the rest of us all had to hide away in our hearts. (Message for @Ti Jays goddaughter; Follow your hearts desires young lady, & as the years pass don't let others dissuade you from following your dreams. Because in the end, when it gets hard, & if sadly you do have periods of 'failure' & the jobs aren't easily forthcoming, at least you'll know that you tried your hardest, (& that's where your education will come in to support you!). Work hard but don't forget your schooling either, because one day you may need to rely on it. I hope one day, when the pandemic is over & the theatres are open again to be able to see you on the stage.... 'Les Mis' is my all time favourite show & I've been to see it many times 🤩😍.... Keep your eyes on the stars kiddo 🎤🎶📽️... It is do-able!!! 🤞🏻You've already got your feet firmly on this career path. Young Cosette on stage!! It's a huge achievement that you've already bagged. Well done, the biggest congratulations).

It's just the video of someone in the audience. Lea wasn't playing Eponine in the 25th, she was playing Fantine, and seriously, in my strongest of opinions, no Eponine will ever come close to level or sensitivity, torture or vulnerability that Francess Ruffelle brought to the role. It is, of course, all a matter of opinion and taste.

To shed some light on just a few of these actors, at least the ones I'm familiar with outside of Les Mis: -Alun Armstrong (Monsieur Thenardier), besides being my favorite Thenardier, has also had minor roles in a few lesser-known fantasy movies (the Cardinal in Van Helsing, Uncle Garrow in Eragon) -Susan Jane Tanner (Madame Thenardier) is, I believe, best known for originating the role of Jellylorum in the Original London Cast of CATS, and reprised that role in the 1998 film -Colm Wilkinson (Jean Valjean) has played the title characters in both The Phantom of the Opera and Jekyll & Hyde, and had a cameo in the 2012 Les Miserables movie as the Bishop -Rebecca Caine (Cosette) was, I believe, one of the first Christines in POTO--I /think/ she was Sarah Brightman's successor, but I could be wrong.

Ramin fits in beautifully. The original cast could walk right back on the stage, they all sounded wonderful. Did anyone get a slight giggle that Nick Jonas, talented as he is was utterly out matched with all those men and women. He looked a good bit overwhelmed at the end with the Ramin and the 2 others, as if he had no idea what note to sing, poor guy.

My wife and I have been blessed to have seen the original cast several times in Boston during the 1980's. Then came the thrill of performing in a concert version of Les Miserables as The Innkeeper and his wife. I never cease to get chills watching this magnificent musical or performing excerpts from it over the years.
