Every autumn I make a pilgrimage to rest and explore before the island shuts down for the winter. Follow along and take a tour of the town and trails of this island trapped in time.

I go to Mohegan every year for the 4th if July, I actually own a house. It is my favorite place on Earth. 100% recommended visiting in the summer!! Seeing this video makes me wish I was there now. 😢

While my sister was staying on Monhegan Island, she took a walk to the cliffs overlooking the ocean and sat there reading. A dragonfly landed on her shoulder and stayed there for a very long time as she read. Special moment.

I’m from Port Clyde Maine and my uncle and other family members have houses on Monhegan island. Very cool

Did you see any sea glass there? Any area you recommend?

I have seen some sea glass! You can actually find some right in town near the Fish House. Pebble Beach and Lobster Cove are worthwhile visits for that too.
