What a statement, it trully is. I hope I don't sound weird but it's just like that show on crime channel where experts try to draw a conclusion on wether the subject was born a killer or not and most of the time they conclude that the person is born with a degree of psycophathy and the environment and events around him/her take care of the rest.

I’m glad you mentioned menopause and genetics I’m 57 very active. I walk 25kms a weeks do 3 dance classes a week and eat very mindfully but the last 6 months I have crept up in weight. Not a huge amount (was 61kg now 64kg and 175cm) but can’t shift it And it’s in my thighs !!! They are horrible and flabby. The rest of me is fine. I’m going to start this and see how I go. Thank you.

I had odd thighs like the image. About 3 months ago I started to go for walks and a month ago to the gym. Last week I noticed my thighs are leaner and I no longer have that odd pose. Workouts are in addition to giving up sugar in January, wine in March and changing diet to as healthy as possible. I need a new wardrobe.

We are indeed all different cuz my belly fat comes off first, followed by leg, and my arms are the hardest to lose. Funny thing is, growing up my legs and belly were big and my arms were small…..it’s like my body flipped itself over 😂

Hey, controlled and slower lower body workouts. Squats without weights, wall Pilates is fantastic for this.

Hey. You can actually do this exercise standing too! It won’t have quite the same resistance but you still really feel it, especially after a few sets! I think weight loss starts with an attitude adjustment. If your brain isn't 100% into it, for yourself, diet won't work. It's a lifestyle change. Portion control, consistency , otherwise you stay just as you are.

Speaking to a dietitian helps for the small things we overlook that has a big impact! I spoke with mine this week and while I was walking and eating healthy I wasn’t intaking enough calories 😂 needless to say my goal for the next month is to eat to goal and from there working on macronutrient percentages.

Portion control and exercise and healthier choices in food will give you the best results not just diet. It’s not a long term solution ppl gain it all back.

@@missjoasia123 I agree. That is what I did and do. Middle-aged now, I am in better shape than I ever was. Even if eat surplus, have cheat days, or not really keeping a diet, can exercise and remain in shape.

Hey. I’m guessing you’re tensing (A LOT) in your upper body… you definitely shouldn’t feel it at all in the upper body.

Hey! I have quite bad issues in this area and it doesn’t affect me. However, we’re all different so I couldn’t give you a yes or no answer on this. You’re keeping your back stationary and not putting pressure on it though so it shouldn’t affect this area. Check with a physiotherapist or doctor because they will be able to advise you better than I can 😄🩷

My genetics are so frustrating. If I only had a flat belly I’d be ok with the size of the rest me. At 5’7” and just 118 pounds, it’s so frustrating to see women who out weigh me by a hundred pounds have a flatter stomach.

Watch a you tuber fabulous after 50 she had the same issue and all she did was use castor oil rubbed into her abdomen and she’s says it’s been a life changing for her. Good luck! Also I’d give anything to be 5’7” 😉

Hi. I'm not an expert but I think that is fine;til you can do otherwise, God willing. I have arthritis+doing many of exercise on the bed. You will be toning+ building muscle. May God make it easy for you.

Hey. Given that a bed is not a flat stable surface you will really struggle to maintain good posture and technique and could cause yourself an injury. It definitely is best done on a stable surface.

If you actually are fat this may be the least comfortable (therefore helpful) way to build inner thigh strength. The leverage and range of motion is much different with added mass, but this makes sense if youre already somewhat skinny.

Yes, if you hold a high percentage of body fat most exercise will be somewhat uncomfortable. If someone is holding extra weight then a caloric deficit is what they should be focusing on. As said, exercise tones the muscle but you need to lose the fat to reveal it.

I have this issue, i just cant match a caloric deficit to be less than what i burn, max i burn 600-900 im just not that active, and i can eat less than 1200 or i feel sick and i cant keep up with my toddler, what xan i do?

You should be burning far more calories than this. Naturally your body will be burning more. Put your stats into a BMR calculator, this will give you an indication of how many calories your body naturally burns in a completely rested state. Just Google BMR calculator 😊

this doesn’t work for chubby persons. Practically, not because they are lazy. This movement can not be performed in this precise way with thick legs and hips.

Hey! For some it might be difficult. However it really does depend on the ability of the individual. I’ve had people perform this exercise who have bigger thighs and hips. A good tip is to really work hard to keep your core and back strong, this helps to support the movement.

I'm 3x thick and I can do it. My leg doesn't go up more than an inch, but I can achieve the position and one inch will become 2 then 3 etc if I stick to it.

I'm nearly 3 mins into this video, where is the exercise???? 4:19 is the exercise. A slim young person is doing it of course. We don't want to see an overweight person. Gives the wrong idea.

Sorry you take it this way Roxanne. My body size shouldn’t matter, it’s the information that I’m providing that matters. It’s a very short video and you were aware of the length when you clicked on it. It’s important that I include all necessary information at the beginning so you are not mislead into thinking that exercise alone will help you achieve the results. This is not how it works and unfortunately people are searching for a quick fix that doesn’t exist.

Loosing weight has nothing to do with calories it’s all about carbs …… 🤔 cut your carbs to 60 g a day and you start to see results…… 👀
