So, in my last video, I talked about 1 thing that I disliked from each assassin’s creed game. And it was pretty interesting to see a lot of your guys’ comments giving your opinions on what you disliked about 1 thing in an assassins creed game. But now it’s time to do the complete opposite and talk about 1 thing i loved from each mainline assassin’s creed game. This will focus on what I truly adored the most about one specific thing, so yeah. This should be a lot easier to do as the positives outweigh the negatives in series and there’s just so many great things about assassin’s creed.

Assassin's Creed is an open-world, action-adventure, and stealth game franchise published by Ubisoft and developed mainly by its studio Ubisoft Montreal using the game engine Anvil and its more advanced derivatives. Created by Patrice Désilets, Jade Raymond, and Corey May, the Assassin's Creed video game series depicts a fictional millennia-old struggle between the Order of Assassins, who fight for peace and free will, and the Knights Templar, who desire peace through order and control. The series features historical fiction, science fiction, and fictional characters intertwined with real-world historical events and historical figures. In most games, players control a historical Assassin while also playing as an Assassin Initiate or someone caught in the Assassin-Templar conflict in the present-day framing story. Considered a spiritual successor to the Prince of Persia series, Assassin's Creed took inspiration from the novel Alamut by the Slovenian writer Vladimir Bartol, based on the historical Hashashin sect of the medieval Middle East.

Edward Kenway deserved at least one sequel game where he would be in another part of the world exploring the place for the Assassin's and maybe doing battle with the Templar's in that part of the world. And we could also see the relationship between him and his daughter. One that was a little different than in the books.

The reason why the Cult of Kosmos works so well is because its integrated into _literally_ every element of the game. If there is a game system then there is a cultist somewhere inside it. Army battles, faction leaders (the ones you can hunt down to lower the faction control in the region, the ones with a purple icon), as mercenaries, as sea captains (naval combat), in the arena, inside side quests, bumped into in the main quest, hidden at the end of sidequest chains, _literally just walking around in the world and you can go kill them immediately without needing any clues._ This integration plus how every member gave you a neat reward and you could work towards collecting a complete set of unique looking armor from each branch (loved the spartan branch armor). It makes so much sense mechanically and thematically, we are told how the cult members have wormed their way through every echelon of society and we get to see that as we hunt down the targets. Its legitimately one of the best examples of gameplay and story integration i've seen in any game.

hunting down cosmos leaders is by far the best mechanic I ever saw in an assassin's creed game because it felt so realistic, not knowing where they were or who they were, instead of the classic "go here and kill him". felt as a true assassins

AC 1: The cutscenes that introduce the targets as well as the memory corridors with assassinating them. Also Al Mualim is a great villain with a fun fight. AC 2: The Italian Renaissance especially Florence and Venice. Also the soundtrack compliments the setting well. AC Brotherhood: The Brotherhood system. Also the modern day being in Monteriggioni, the side content, and the combat. AC Revelations: Altair's ending mixed with Ezio speaking to Desmond. Also the assassin tombs were great plus the master assassin missions added more depth to the assassin recruits. AC 3: The side missions like the Homestead missions and the peg leg missions. AC 4 Black Flag: The naval combat. So addicting. AC Unity: Either the black box missions or the detail and scale of Paris. Side content is fantastic, too. AC Rogue: Either Shay's templar outfit or the main menu theme. Also the grenade launcher and the assassin stalkers were great additions. AC Syndicate: London itself especially with the Thames River being busy, trains moving, and riding the carriages. Not to mention the Kenway manor. AC Origins: Egypt itself is amazing. Also Bayek who is my second favorite protagonist in the series. AC Odyssey: Greece itself especially with all the landmarks and getting to go inside a volcano. The cultist system is great as well, minus getting no memory corridors and the leader being forgettable, and the variety of enemies is fun. AC Valhalla: The side content such as flyting, tombs of the fallen, treasures of Great Britain, world events, etc.

Odyssey's dialogue choices can be rather jarring at times, I just got captured by Deimos and in the build up to our final encounter I am still unsure as to if I chose the correct dialogue options, plus, I did everything correct to bring him back into the family except for save that baby and the way Ubisoft chose to make players wait to see if they made the correct decisions feels a bit weird. I have enjoyed Odyssey's story so far however I gotta say, I prefer how much more focused Origins narrative felt, something I feel that games like Fallout, Witcher 3 and Odyssey often severely lack in part due to dialogue options.

As much as we dislike Ubisoft now, we have to admit one thing: They nailed the character development of Ezio. AC 2 - Young, charming teen who doesn't know the danger that surrounds him. Faced with certain evil, he is learning to fight back. AC Brotherhood - Ezio stepping into adulthood, taking responsibility, and standing up for what's right, becoming a leader and helping others find purpose. AC Revelations - A wise old man trying to find the meaning of his life. Finding his own purpose to continue living and start a legacy. We grew up with Ezio, which is why he is the most favourite character in the series.

Yeah but the concept of Assassins creed is based on the true fight of hashashins versus templars in medieval midle east. They stabilished that basis on the true events of history, and then started to change around that, but always *trying* to keep it historically accurate. Before early 1100 there were no templars, thats why they created both Cult of Kosmos and the Order of the Ancients. They created something to explain an early rivalry, proto assassins and proto "templars". They cant use the "templars" cause it would be too much out of their context.

AC3, Syndicate and Origins probably have my favorite side missions. I`m also one of those rare people who liked the twist beginning of 3 and actually really like Connor and wish his story would have been expanded on more. The addition of forest and tree parjour was also a bonus. Besides the parkour and transversing Paris, i loved the murder mysteries in Unity. Revelations and Brotherhood have my favorite side mechanic with the assassination recruits and being able to send them on missions. I wish they would have expanded on that mechanic. I love recruiting assassins and building my own base of operations and Brotherhood. Black Flag pirates...do i need to say more. I loved the templar focus of Rogue and how it connects to AC3 with Shay pretty much creating what Connor will later be destroying. I would also like to mention Liberation which has the social stealth mechanics with the different costume which is a mechanic i absolutely love and am mad later games didn't expand on. The potential of more options in social stealth and observing target, but its only used for that one game.

I understand how some people does not like AC Unity parkour, when you're on your first time playing it you have no idea how to make it work, Arno keeps jumping from pole to pole and sometimes has delay with his actions, you need to watch a full yt guide just so you could enjoy parkour, which is 80% of what you do in the game. The parkour also has a very restrictive parkour with no room for failure, which is something I miss. Still, AC Unity parkour is peak parkour.

But trying to get through a window was IMPOSSIBLE! if u were climbing on the side of a building, and decided u wanted to go throught a window, the character would jump from one side of the window to the other like there was a gap in the middle insdead of just shimmying to the opening. once u were at the opening, sometimes he would jump up instead of climing in.

I've been on a journey, playing/replaying every game this series has to offer, and I decided to give my opinion here as well, so for me, it would have to go something like this: Assassin's Creed: The story. While not as expansive or even as consistent as future AC games, the first games story did really good in introducing both the Templars and Assassins in a way that showed you the difference in their ideals and what they believe in. Assassin's Creed 2: Gonna have to agree with you for Ezio Auditore. The franchises all around best character, with only one other even coming close who I'll get to later. Ezio is a friend to all, and mighty vicious to anyone who apposes him. Charismatic and funny, he was also a huge influence on the assassins. Assassin's Creed Brotherhood: Rebuilding Rome. While I didn't quite like Rome itself like many other people did, the mechanic of rebuilding it and earning money off of places you owned was broken, but also just very cool. Assassin's Creed Revelations: The parkour. To me this was the peak in the series, especially with the addition of the hook blade. Everything about it by that point was polished and seamless. Assassin's Creed 3: The villains. I know the Dad vs Son cliché is old as hell, but even besides Haytham, I really loved the fleshing out of the other targets of the game. Made you really feel the need to be mad at them, while also feeling sympathy after killing them. Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag: I'll agree with you on this one as well. To me, this game feels like it was never meant to be an AC game because of how much content was focused on Edward being a pirate. Assassin's Creed Rogue: I never played this game, so I won't give an opinion on it. Assassin's Creed Unity: Hard to say, honestly. I don't want to lean into the analogy you were giving in the video, but I really did not like this game. And I first played it just a couple weeks ago. The combat is nothing special, the parkour is inconsistent, and the story is just all around not that good. I guess I'll say my favorite part was the stealth. I feel like this was mechanically the last stealth AC game in the series. Assassin's Creed Syndicate: The combat. To me, in that regard, this game was much better than Unity. This was also an entry I didn't really like, but the combat was nice and fluid and unlike anything we've ever seen before. The weapons also had some great variety, and the skills helped out a ton. Assassin's Creed Origins: Bayek of Siwa. The only other character that came close to being as good as Ezio. Bayek is the greatest uncle, and a great assassin. His voice actor really brings it all together, and I often think back to the opening scene of the game where he says, "Sleep? I never sleep. I just wait in the shadows. And I will kill you all. Everyone who sniffed the air that day in Siwa!" As for the final 2 games as of now, I have not replayed Odyssey yet, and I've never played Valhalla before. I will probably update this comment when I do, but all in all good video. If you want me to talk about the problems I have with Unity's parkour to more extent, let me know. Because my problems go beyond that analogy that you said while stating your favorite part about that game.

Edward deserved a 2nd game at least following him as a legit assassin where he is a full blown member of brotherhood id think of they did it as well it be cool if they intemplated stealth like unity but with better social stealth to show that he has been training with the assassins and gained better skill

Tbh I'm not much of a fan for Unity's parkour. The animations are cool but with how much Arno stumbled after vaulting (from my experience) and how Arno looked like he was floating more than jumping it puts me off. To make this opinion sound worse i prefer AC1- Revelations parkour for a few reasons; 1)Diving into water is optional, by this i mean from AC3 onwards the player would automatically dive while in the previous games (excluding AC1) you would jump normally unless pressing jump again in the air you would start diving. 2) The movement from AC1- Revelations is more satisfying for me. The way Altaïr/Ezio climb, tic-tac and wall eject has a better sound and feeling and this is more me being picky but Arno's running animation looks like he has sticky armpits.

i skipped Unity for its unrealistic 'free running' and Syndicate just because i skipped its previous install. decided to play Origins and give the series another chance, but i guess my hopes where thrown into the abyss after playing for a good while. Despite how it looked and how the game played and its setting being Egypt, i felt like something was missing, it didn't feel enough 'ac' to me. i wanted to get Odyssey but after my previous experience also skipped it. once Valhalla came out i was scared to buy it because of the previous letdown thus skipped it. a lot of people are probably going to get mad but from AC2 onward into Ezio's timeline, the games where perfect for me.

What i love from each AC game (main ones not included psp, nintendo ds and smarth phone games) AC1- I love the game atmosphere, there is something unique about the enviroment both inside the simulation and outside with desmon. AC2- Ezio himself, ezio is one of the most interesting characters on this franchise, AC2 obviously change a lot from AC1, but ezio is the best improvment. ACB- Brotherhood even being remebered by some people as an DLC to AC2, but this game is onle of the most iconic in this franchise, i think the thing i most love in ACB is Rome, i think the only city that kept me exploring it even aftar finishing the game multiple time was Paris, but Rome is iconic in another level, i replayed this game some time ago, and Rome sometimes feels like home. ACR- the story, Ravelations is not one of the games everyone talk about on this franchise, but honestly i surely have the best story, here is where everything that had been build by the previous games start to connect, seeing ezio talking with altair skeleton and with desmond directly was a really emotional moment. AC3- The dynamic between Connor and his father, i like how you start with hytham and after that we start to control connor his complete opposite, this dynamic start some interesting reflections in this blury moral conflict. ACL- Liberations is a game that had a lot of potential but was held back by the psVita, my favorite thing is Evelyn journey, even with the Assassins she had a lot of daubts even questioning if the templars are truly wrong, something we saw desmond questioning too. AC4- The naval combat, i don't have much to say ubisoft just hit the right spot with this one, the combat feels responsive and enjoyable. ACR- Rogue best feature is the "flip the coin" idea, showing us the bad side of the Order we grew to love, i like how this game change our boots and forces us to see other perspective (but i still support the assassin's :P) ACU- Unity i sby far my favorite game on this franchise, i love ezio but ever since AC one i dreamed about an assassin's on the french revolution, one of my favorite time periods, my favorite thing was the multiplayer, ever since brotherhood multiplayer i asked myself "why we don't have an coop option it would work way better if this assassin order fantasy" and unity delivered the answer, i loed to spend hour and hours doing the coop missions and heists with my friends. ACS- Honestly i don't have too much to say, it is an ok game, nothing too much special, but i lik the more light hearthed feeling this game have, with more comic moments in relation with the previous titles. ACO- My favortie things about origins was bayek, ofcourse the creation of the creed is cool but i don't thing it is totally necessary to be shown, bayek in other side was an character i think we lack in this franchise, an guy focused on his duty but with no problems in changing his direction to help others, really carrying about the well being, an character instantly charismatic. ACOdyssey- I need to say i had a lot of fun with this game, i thing my favorite part was the combat, i know the ISU powers where exagerated but using them in open combat was really good, you truly felt powerful and unstoppable. ACV- I had an complicated relashionship with this game, but i thing the dinamyc between Eivor and Odin was my favorite part, how Odin always talk like an templar and Eivor always going with a point of view more allined with the assassins. That is my list, sorry for the bad english, it is not my main language, but i hope you guys could understand what i wanted to say.

I think people are way to harsh on AC3. I personally loved the story, setting, and Connor as a protagonist. We were spoiled by Ezio for three games but AC3 had a lot of good that I think people just want to over look. AC4 is still my favorite (again you are a pirate) but I'm glad people are getting around to appreciating AC3.

Unity has good parkour but if you look past the flashy animations you'll realize the system has less depth than previous iterations. They removed some of the advanced parkour moves like side ejects and it continued the trend of automating parkour. Also, Arno feels more sluggish than the characters who came before him, a trend that unfortunately got worse.

You can absolutely so side ejects in unity. Instead of being fully manual unlike the previous games, these are automatic because of the context, but since your inputs can manipulate the context, you can force the side ejects to happen in situations where you want them to happen, same for back ejects, you can actually perform them

Valhalla was a terrible game (and an insulting disregard for historical authenticity for an AC game) - however, I found requiring assassinations to be timed in the circle for powerful enemies to be a really genius solution that still allowed one-hit assassinations while also making it more challenging for harder enemies.

The brutality is something I wish the ither games had. If they want to be historical they should depict just how dangerous these weapons were at the time. People got easily amputated by a wrong move back then.
