I've had so many surreal experiences playing this game. One time I married, had a ton of kids and founded a civilization from them. I lived to be 59 before walking into the wilderness and fighting a bear with my bare hands. My wife died when I was 45 and I buried her by a pond, marking her grave with a large stone. This is one of few games that can easily coerce me to tears. You get born, and are popped into existence, death is just a black screen. No scoreboard just the option to leave or play again. Super addicting!

You should add twins, so you can play with your friends

I spawned in game as a baby and my douche mom left me to be eaten by a grizzly bear while she ran away for safety. 10/10 realism

This is the type of game that should get the most respect for being the most original.

This is the strangest game i have ever seen the fact that it can evolve as more people play it fascinates me it basically means playing it when it first comes out can be a completely different experience to playing it say a year or so from now.

i've played the game a lot, and I have to say, it is amazing and unique and a huge breath of fresh air. I've lived to die of old age quite a few times. Food is still a huge struggle, but the world is slowly being more and more built up, and to truly experience this game for what it is, I suggest you buy it very soon so you can experience the evolution of the game. it's hard not to try and advance by yourself and try to stick to small things like shooing all your grandkids away from the seeding carrots, but the more you secure the lives of your kids, the more progress will be steadily made, and the more advanced you'll be in your coming lives. It's an amazing social experience.

This guy is awesome. Not only did he make the game himself (and the sound effects too, lol), but he's also keeping up with the community, making sure they always have new things to craft. 10/10 from me. I hope to do a video or two on it in the future

When I was a child, I had imagined a game with a similar concept of players being born to another player. I'm glad it exists now.

This is great but dark. Whole civilizations built just to fall eventually or maybe prosper. Children born into civilizations where they can't support the babies. It's amazing that "map updates" are all built by the players. For $20, I will be purchasing this game.

This is amazing! Ever since I got into playing Minecraft in hardcore mode with friends, I've wanted to see something like this game exist, but in my speculations there was always the issue of people not having enough time to dedicate to live through a whole in game life, but it never crossed my mind to lower the lifetime to 1 hour. This is genius!!

I've had the game for a few months now, and I also have hundreds of hours. I think it's safe to say that this game changed a LOT, obviously, but not in the way that you might think. Big cities take a little less than two days before they're built up to the top of the tech tree (which isn't as advanced as you think) and the constant resets as well as the insanely small map is a wee bit irritating.

He seems to make all the sound effects with his mouth and I want to see his piano music it is beautiful.

Really great idea for a game. Feel like the biggest thing going against it though is the non-universal release across the most common platforms. Without a Steam release, I can't imagine the player base will get very large. Steam kind of sucks, but it's ubiquitous.

I LOVE this game! So much! Its so beautiful! The first times i played were actually on phone, the fan made game called You Are Hope, and at first, i died many times, was an annoying child that always needed good care, and a kid who did nothing but eat. In the english servers, i could not make it through 18 or 20 years. That is why i tried one japanese server, where i surprisingly survived better, and the full 60 years. I loved playing on that japanese server cuz i didnt understand what they were saying, and the ones who spoke english were hilarious, and cuz they were doing WAY better than the english speaking players. But then, i quit that game for a while. But now, i had come back to the phone game after watching this trailer. I joined the english server. They had gotten a better upgrade. I was born to a loving mother, named Dimond. And she named me Ruaridh. She was the greatest mom i had ever had. She tought me how to farm milkweed, how to make clothes, and how to make food. We loved each other alot. She helped me on many things. And our final words to each other were: Me: I wish i will see you in the next life. Mom: Me too child, this has been lovely. It made me drop a tear. Then she died. After that, i got my own family. My wife's name was Nicki Minaj (No joke). And that is why i became a father figure to her children: Pretty lil, Sigmund, Mom (the name of the child was mom), Lil mom, and Bear. When my first child Pretty lil died to starvation, i followed her too. And i quickly told Nicki that Pretty lil died, and also said that i was going to join her. Nicki was shocked, and sad. And my last words before i died were: I love u. And i was gone. Died in the age of 51. This game, taught me so much of life alone! And im very thankful that is game exists. Thank you for creating it!

I think things could progress more in game if we had a book about basics out like a full list of up to date items and how to build. I know we are meant to figure it out in a way that seems real and practical but the reality is its a game and not everything is like that and the game has become stalled in place not progressing much because none of us can figure out how to make some basic stuff. Idk I know I could watch a million videos but itd be nice to flip open a book and go okay I need five sticks and some rubber for this or whatever. If people wanna play blind thats cool but as someone with memory problems itd be nice to have options.

I began playing this game since about March which is around the time it was released, and I am still playing it today it has changed a lot but in an incredible way, this is definitely one of the best games out there and it’s worth the 20$

So original, I love it! I might give it a try. The fact it's possible to go up the "Tech Tree" makes this even more interesting, since it has to do with players helping each other for a more stable lifestyle down the road for newer generations, which in a way does replicate reality.

When I first started playing I thought man this games buggy as hell! All the sprites keep alternating what the f*@$ is going on?! Turns out I was continually tripping out on mushrooms. DONT EAT THE MUSHROOMS! genius idea btw, also this game is amazing and the depth of some of the builds even in its current early stage are absolutely mind boggling.. I love it.. the journey one must take to get into the newcomen stage. Ridiculous and I love it. So challenging, very eager to see you advance it through the ages..

I was born a princess and became queen at 11 in a massive kingdom / civilization that had people who weren't related and people who were and at 20 a dude asked me to marry him so I said yes and we had 3 kids I had a lot of guards and survived 2 assassination attempts and died at 60

I LOVE THIS GAME!!! The game is simple but has a huge message, you are a small link in a very long chain. I never really thought about it before I played this game. One thing I would recommend is adding an option to not spawn in as an eve. I understand you need balance but sometimes at just don’t want to be an eve. Keep up the great work Jason!

Honestly, this game represents hardships. You can build genuine roleplay relationships with your family and also play for a joke if you want. Losing someone good in OHOL is hard. Recommendation that new civilisations / eves get new rules for appearing though. Maybe if there’s less fertile mothers than expected? EDIT: I'd love some updates!
