One Idiot VS Malenia In Elden Ring

Malenia. Ever since my Elden Ring series first got started all I heard was this name. Malenia has to easily be the most notorious boss in elden ring. The fact that EVERYONE had warned me about her before I could even get here says it all... Were the warnings valid though? You see the length of this boss battle video lol.

This guy really is the Goku to Afrosenju's Vegeta. Both overcame the fight, and both deserve respect for it, but Afro was raging and losing his shit, and hating every second he felt inferior until he proved himself. Meanwhile Reax just be staying chill the whole time and loving every second of it.

You beat malenia in what’s pretty much the most honest way possible… A heavy, slow weapon, no incantations or sorceries, no summons, no bleed or frost…didn’t even use GOOD armour…just pure strength and determination. You, sir, deserve nothing but respect.

Well dang I thought me beating Melania with around 600 health with my sorcery build Int 70 was an honest battle. The armor we have doesn’t do much vs Melania who’s purely physical until she brings the rot out. One hit was pretty much how the game went. Dodging and evading until you find an opening, and pray that you can get out in time while also monitoring your stamina and fp. Oh yeah only 3 health vials with the rest allocated to fp. Socery doesn’t have heals and buffs, only casting, armaments and AOE spells. Determination, doesn’t even explain it.

@@neftalimelendez4822 not to brag or anything but I solo her like 4 times, took a while, but her moveset in 1st phase is like a song you just have to memorize it, 2nd phase on the other hand, is all over the place, she just spams random attacks and runs after you, and you can't find the tune to her moves because it feels random, at the end of the day malenia is a great boss fight, but radahn is my favorite.

@lukeerickson665 heavy weapons in this game isn't really cheese like other from soft titles there's a reason that duel katana and other fast duel weapons that cause bleed bully most bosses in this game with Melania any weapon can stagger her not just a heavy weapon frost and bleed are very strong on elden ring even after bleed builds got nerfed after a few patches

One thing I love about how hard Melania is is that at the end when you beat her she goes “your strength…..legendary. Truly befitting…of a lord. Miquella I’m so sorry. It seems I finally met my match”. After such a challenge the game admits you’re really that guy. In a game where most enemies berate you for winning or even showing up her and Godfrey are the only ones I’ve seen that show you respect. They are what being a warrior is about. Showing your opponent respect even if you don’t think much of them.

Now this, THIS is a well and true Malenia duel. And absolute props to SeeReax for not really raging at all. A few spikes, but I respect how he appeared to enjoy the entire fight, learning it, overcoming it through timing and skill. SeeReax is well and truly, a bowerful gamer.

The best way to avoid the flurry is to start sprinting in the opposite direction when she goes in the air. Also, Godrick's Great Rune is better because it gives +5 to all 8 attributes (so a total +40 level up).

You can definitely feel the DNA of Gael Nameless King and even a bit of Maria in Malenia. I think one of the reasons why she's so difficult is that her first phase is like fighting Gael mixed with 3rd Phase Soul of Cinder. While the Second phase is like fighting a mixture of Gael Friede Nameless King and Artorias. Even for people who have experience with those bosses it's very difficult trying to balance your approach without running a build just for her.

It's always nice to see someone beat her for the first time using strength. I was using the Guts sword it took me like 2-3hrs to finally get her. My friends used the bleed katanas to make it mostly trivial...great work Seereax, love your content

She is my favorite boss in all of the souls games. Just studying her moves made me into a better gamer, so much to the point that every boss i fought after her made me think, " You are no Malenia" before completely destroying them in 3 tries or less.

She heals even if you block with your shield and don’t take damage. If you want to dodge it, run/dodge away from first two flurries. Dodge INTO the third.

@@RJ-rp8yd Yeah exactly. People should be able to use what they want as a win is a win. I personally stopped using summons like mimic tear but that's me. Others should not be forced or attacked to do the same.

As someone who just started my first play through on Ellen ring, let alone a fromsoft game in general, this makes me inspired that you don’t have to know every little intricacy of the game in order to be good. You accomplished this with pure BOWER and I applaud you.
