Unfortunately that is NOT right for the s21 ultra. There is NO 4k 60p option for that phone and can only select 2 lenses. Plus compared to stock app and mcpro24 the video quality of genie app is lacking. I hope they give us more options like bitrate and support the newer phones.

I've been using Moza Mini P with Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra (512gb), Android phone with Nillkin CamShield Armor case. For Android people out there, the gimbal works well with this setup, and I'm not using the Moza Genie or Moza Master -apps because I need mostly just the different stabilizing modes and joystick that this gimbal gives. You don't even need to make a Bluetooth connection between your phone and the gimbal to use it as a stabilizer. The gimbal lets you use the following modes by just turning it on: FPV (default mode), Sport, Inception, All lock, Tilt and Follow, Pan and Follow, Selfie (turns 180°'s towards you), and Return to Center (double press on trigger button returns facing to normal). Gimbal lets you use the joystick to manually turn the facing where ever you want in any mode. You can also use the auto-calibration when you press "W" 3 times, it takes a while. So you can use all these modes with your Android phones native camera app. I guess the Moza Genie app might give you a little more tools for filming but it being only 30fps max capped on Android phones, I wouldn't bother trying to use it. I'm going to buy a Ulanzi Iron ST-02S phone holder to replace the default plastic holder that comes with Moza Mini P. I think this is a smart thing to do so that you don't have to count on a plastic phone holder since it might brake your phone. Also I recommend using some kind of a wrist strap on the gimbal in case you drop it. I recommend checking hollywoodfrodo's channel for Moza Mini P modes overview. Take your time to stabilize your phone with the gimbal at first. Do it properly so the gimbal motors can operate optimal. I recommend checking how to do this from various videos in youtube.

Hey there Kalevanpoika, I have the S20 Ultra, and had to install the apps (they're a bit of a nightmare to pair and use easily, and the video res is not as good as default cam). How do you manage to get the gimbal to follow you without using the apps? Thanks for the suggestion to watch hollywoodfrodo's channel. Will do after watching this.

@@Weirtoe You can use the following gimbal functions/buttons without having to download the Moza applications on your phone: All different modes (FPV, Sport, Selfie etc, read the long post above), W-button to auto configurate the motors, Joystick to turn the gimbal direction manually within any mode, Trigger-button for different modes and couple functions. Also the center button has couple modes when pressed Left or Down that we can use as Android users. So basically you will miss only the T-button, Camera-button (circle menu) and Up and Right on the circle menu. I find those useless anyway since the Moza Apps will give terrible image quality just to get some weird lame effects. That's the price we have to pay as Android users, unless you want to film 720p 30fps which is out of question for me when you have a phone like S21 Ultra that can film up to 4k 60fps or even 8k 30fps.

I meant the tracking, the one thing available in the app but not on the phone, so you lock the focus on a subject, and when they move, it pans and moves with them. That's ok. I'll live without it. @@Weirtoe Oh yea the human tracking feature. I haven't really looked into that because I don't find it that important, however I can see some use cases for that. I think you can't use this tracking feature without the Moza phone app like you said, unfortunately. I'm not 100% sure though. Some of the new gimbals have a tracking sensor built in the gimbal itself that is placed on top of the gimbal phone holder. I dont think those require a phone app.

That is a very good question. I recorded this video a year ago so I don’t remember. The gimbal has very long battery life. I suggest going through their specs on they lit website… I am sorry I simply don’t remember

I bought this because my 12 pro max with external lens and filters was too heavy for my osmo 3. However- it really takes some practice setting it up correctly. I hope DJI comes out with a smart phone gimbal with a stronger motor for the weight of the pro max phones. Seems like even the newest version is still too weak unless your phone is bare bones. This particular gimbal just takes too much time IMO to set up for a smart phone. Will be using this for a different set up and waiting for that perfect mobile gimbal!

It is the same thing like with all Canon cameras with this Gimbal. You can stabilize the footage but you will have to press the shutter button manually it’s not gonna work from the gimbal

@@VloggingMolly Hi Brad, sorry I just saw this. I never have been able to find an answer to the question, "Is it possible to connect my M-50 to the Mini-P to be able to use it with the Moza app?" I even went on a live Moza sponsored event about the Mini-P but didn't get a clear answer. But as Zdenka said you can stabilize the Canon M-50 with the Mini P. I have the Mini P and I would advise making sure your combination of camera and lens isn't too heavy for the Mini P. It will work but if you have too heavy of a lens you would be better off with a gimbal rated for more weight.The Moza live event recommended it mostly for phones and point and shoot type setups. Again, I LOVE your reviews... Question, what firmware did you upgrade to? I am running 2.0.3. On iOS I noticed your screen recordings do not show Magic Mode either. That is the problem I am having and others are having face tracking issues. What firmware did you upgrade to that you mention in your video?

Magic mode is not available with this gimbal. Only with Mx and Mini S. I asked about it Moza and that’s what I got as an answer.

@@ZdenkaDarula I was afraid of that. Thank you though. Just to be sure I am at the latest firmware, is the latest 2.0.3? I am a beginner but love this gimbal because of the weight. I have a new iPhone 12 Pro Max, and some Sandmarc lenses and filters so the payload on the Moza Mini-P is perfect for me. I did like the Magic mode to help with templates while filming. Is there any other template based software, either for iOS or Final Cut or other Mac based that you know of that helps with the "Art" of the shots. Templates.

Great review. That looks a fantastic gimbal. However, I wonder if you could help me please? I film golf vlogs, and I’m looking for a good gimbal that I can either use my iPhone XS Max with an external microphone with, and or a mirror less camera with an external microphone. Currently I have a Benro 3XS Lite for my iPhone, which has a jack plug for an external microphone. However the gimbal and software really isn’t of any quality and I find the entire system crashing on me constantly, whilst I’m out filming Your thoughts would be great, please?

If it is constructed like the larger Moza gimbals, it will be very rugged. I'm disappointed that this year's ProFusion expo had to be canceled. That's where to handle all of the gear for yourself. I have a gimbal about the same arrangement as this Mini-P 3 and it has same maximum payload. I use it with a bridge camera - Canon SX50HS. What would be most helpful as a novice with gimbals is a video demonstrating the modes to use for each shooting scenario and the pros and cons of choosing a mode. e.g. the lifting on a boom pole and the walk around of the model on the shore.

Thanks for the review Zdenka, what is the object tracking like on this gimbal with the iPhone pro ? Im looking for a gimbal that has decent tracking features, can carry payload up to 300g and has room to be able to plug a lightning cable in to the phone to connect my Rode wireless. usally hiking / camping alone, that is why im interested in the tracking feature. the gimbal need to be relatively compact too. Is the Mini P a good choice or is there another you can direct me to look at ? Thanks in advance Darren

This is an older gimbal now but still good…. It is hard to find gimbal with big payload which offer tracking. The best tracking has Hohem isteady v2 all the way

Great review! The shot at 4:08 with iphone 12 pro and stabilization off... is that just the phone with no gimbal? It seems shaky. And what does stabilization extended mean? Also, is there any places to mount counter weights if one wants to use phone lenses/filters?

There are four levels of stabilization you can turn on. I showed it with no stabilization I pretty much turned it off. Then I picked level III which is quite stabilized

Hi Zdenka! Great video. Question....I have a I-Phone XR, with a Moment Wide Angle and ND Filters. I have found my Smooth 4 pretty difficult to learn. This (Moza Mini-P) would seem to be powerful enough to handle the weight. Think it would be wise to get this one, and commit myself to learning the details? I'd really like your opinion. I think you have the best straight-forward and informative style on all of YOU-Tube....I really do! -Bob in StL

Thank you very much for such kind words.... I’m just trying to do the best job I can possibly do. If you will be only using it with cell phone and nothing else once you set it up you don’t have to change it again so you just pop in the phone and you can go.... Of course if you add to different lenses you might have to re-balance it so it will be a little bit trickier you will have to keep checking the balance.... Otherwise I really think that you will enjoy this gimbal as it is for advanced filmmaking and it gives you the most

For me having a moment case and anamorphic lens anf I love inception mode (not overusing it but once each shoot) but would you prefer this gimbal ober the Moza Mx and the Osmo3 and om4?? *bonus I like that I can use this for my GoPro as well! *con - is not able to use filmic pro for anamorphic lens

So I am buying the one obviously for $198 and $40 off! Yes! I am set and my buddy is selling me his om4 did $75 for quick grab and extra battery or GoPro on the moza and phome on the Om4! So thank you for the vote of Confidence and when I get my Chanel sopping my Vlog style and podcast I would love to do a podcast with you on live zoom and talk cameras and gear with you. And we can both share the video! Or edit it down. We don’t have to be live . I like to call them” visual stories”, I feel like oidcadt habe to be live but who knows !? So I recently got the DJI Osmo 4 and I am a bit disappointed. My ignorance about the issues with Android and video has really cost me, as well as my new phone choice. At the same time I purchased the gimbal I upgraded from an older Samsung Note (love the stylus, use it all the time!) to a new Note 20 Ultra. This is a very large phone, and that has also caused issues. The gimbal itself does a good job. It is easy to level and the footage looks great. It is very light, but feels well made, and the controls are intuitive. So here are the issues. 1. The DJI Mimo app only supports 30fps. Not having the option for any 60fps (phone can also do 1080 120fps) limits your creative options. 2. The phone is too large and sometimes hits the gimbal arm. This happens even without the case (case I have is super thin) 3. When you attach the cabling for an external microphone, the size of the phone is an even bigger obstacle. Add it all up and I wish I had either purchased an Iphone 12 Max Pro (so I could get all the video modes in the DJI Mimo app, plus smaller size would probably not hit the gimbal arm) or a different gimbal. So, do you think getting the Moza Mini-P is a good idea? From your video and some of the comments it looks like it would solve a lot of my issues.

Yes lady, you are in, amazing in fact but, as I’m an noop in gimbals, what about lightning, external microphones or shotguns or external batteries in mind iPhones batteries goes fast empty or get warm? Seen your presentation and yes it would work with latest new iPhones including wide angle option and of course new. The external mic would then be wireless. The one I use SE 2020 with the wide angle XENVO 0.45 and rode SmartLav for example will not, I’m sure about that. Anyway I’m surprised with your knowledge but then honestly in fact an special direction, an direction that also honestly not much women about has ever heard of it. Your knowledge in these, chapeau!

In a tweet to me recently you stated that all Moza gimbals use the same app. I'm using a Moza Mini MX with the latest firmware/software updates. However, I'm not sure what the function 'Trajectory delay' is for? When selected; if I tap on the record button, I get a message 'Too few path points'? It doesn't seem to function at all.

It is not about cameras that do DOF it is about the lenses. You need to use lenses with very low aperture number
