Maybe you lost a key or it took a dip in the water and isn't working and are down to one key. If you have one working key left you can get a simple key from a number of retailer and online retailers. This allows you to use your one key to program another key and if you buy replacements you can do a few more. Your car only stores a certain amount of keys, but it's nice to have an extra spare. This works on a variety of dodge vehicles including the Challenger, Charger, Dart, Durango, Journey, Magnum, and Ram although the dial position may be different.

would this work if I only had one fob? I didn't see on this video the second key being used. Could I use the key inside the fob as well as the fob? Technically there would be two separate ways of starting he car.

I tried this on my 2015 Ram 1500. The tech at simple key could not make it work either. I dont have any aftermarket electronics. Good luck.

Tried this on my 2015 Ram. The programmer would not connect with my ECU. Called for tech support and all they had was a sales guy who could not help. I read and followed all instructions very carefully. Open to suggestions anyone?

@@youcanfixit3721 called a locksmith $150 per fob. Calling dealership today. Apparently I need a skim PIN number of the vehicle to program my fob. I have to show ownership, I sent the title to the DMV to get it registered to me.
