I’ve done a test on an environment footprint program, the result shows that my biggest contribution on polluting the environment is travelling by airplane. Even just travelling by airplane once a year, it nearly ruins all my green efforts that I’ve done through the whole year. So...I’m asking everyone who are reading my comment, how many times do you travel by air per year?

Walk or bike or roller skate. Ski and ice skate in winter with snow/ice. Good for your figure and health too. Just don't go so far. And if you really need to go further away: bus or train.

if one flight turns a person's lifestyle from a plastic-filled consumerist lifestyle into a zero-waste lifestyle, it'll be worth it. in the long run the pollution from the flight is far less than the waste she would've created for the rest of her life, had she not taken that trip

It is good to live with zero waste but, than we should close all the production lines of plastic and many people will lose their job and profit. In my country you cannot use your own container for food that sell on mesuring
@AnnaBePunkt

You can't rely your decision to harm the environment less on the possibility that someone could lose their job. The economy changes and there will be new jobs in greener companies.

Helena Mauros I personally am vegan, which is a much more environmentally friendly lifestyle than any lifestyle that includes animal products. Being vegan makes it easier for me to shop plastic free, because I mainly buy from the veggie section. I use cotton bags for smaller things and I don't use any bag for bananas, salads and stuff like that. (Except for the one I carry all my groceries home ;) )I guess I also couldn't buy animal products in my own containers in my country either but I don't have to think about that, which makes the whole thing a lot easier. :)

If you close down plastic production, that doesn't mean money and jobs will disappear, but rather, will change. You could start seeing more composting organizations, more recycling facilities etc. the state of our planet is the most important thing right now, or we won't have a world to live/work in

This would be so much less annoying and reach more people without the lecture. Tell people about the products and how much they save. I bought three fountain pens and haven't bought a pen in four years. I don't smoke cigarettes, i smoke a pipe. I buy clothes that aren't going to bust apart in a year (looking at you target) Literally no one cares about your outrage. They're too busy working for a living.
