The work seems to have reached a turning point.plumbing, check lower floor exterior wall indulation, check, upper lintels, CHECK, lower windows repaired, sanded, painted, installed, check. Not forgetting french drains, roofs, and all the rest you have done in the last few years. Your forever home! Next walls, wiring plaster, doors 😅 moving in.🎉 Great lintel/masonry skills, congratulations.

Don't throw away those broken blades. With your angle grinder, cut new shanks on the broken part. The blade will be shorter, but it will still be usable. Thanks for the video. Jon

Nice work, Illia! There is no way to fix brick walls and lintels except to pull the old broken bits out and try to fit new parts in. The good part is, you are getting very experienced and have found your method to get it done correctly. Also nice not to be working out in the wet, windy weather.🥰

Another job ticked off, well done. Around the 14:00 mark I noticed some light peeping trough a small hole from the outside along the floor beam in the middle. I suppose that one of the future jobs is to repoint the whole exterior of the house, so it will be addressed then.

One of two last lintels containing the holes may prior have been used somewhere vertical. Then pins in the holes where used to hang stuff off. Maybe nice to reuse it that way. 21:28

I feel your frustration with the blades breaking off. That happens to me right in the middle of an important cut. You should be very proud of your work. A lot of people would not even attempt doing that. Each time you work on your house/farm you gain more experience and it becomes easier. I wish my gift to you had arrived before you started on the lintel replacement, yet I am sure you can use them another time....🤔 So I hope you are feeling better Marina. The wood is so that you can hang curtain poles without having to drill into brick. The lower pieces of wood are for drilling a fastener for tie backs for curtains.
