Even over die slakken. ( hier in in mijn tuin ( én huis) een probleem). Koperdraad zou werken. Ik ben te laat begonnen met het spannen ervan, maar zie nu toch wel resultaat. koperdraad moet je nat houden ( dat lukt ook wel met al die regen).

I am working on my tiny house built on a slab which means all the pipes and conduits run under concrete. So far I have avoided having to jackhammer my way to a broken pipe but the water lines are hidden behind walls. All the leaks are located and fixed and holes in walls are finally sealed over. Now I replace damaged floors. Your labours and challenges keep me going. Thanks!

Chamotte brick can be used for this task but have seen them price maybe 20x times skyrocket over the last 6 years and old bricks looks like cold formed or overheated

If water penetration is the reason for crumbling bricks. How did the water get to the internal chimney structure/wall?

With the journey of this farm house renovation, I sometimes wonder how many bricks you've each touched and how many more you will need to get to in order to finish. I think you're close to making a huge leap and then the rest will quickly fall in place.

In Belgium, there is special nature conservation legislation that protects bats, particularly when renovations are conducted in old buildings. This protection is mandated both by Belgian law and EU directives. According to **Article 3 of the Belgian Royal Decree of 21 September 1983**, all bat species are strictly protected. This decree, which enforces the European Habitats Directive (Council Directive 92/43/EEC), prohibits the capture, killing, and disturbance of bats, as well as the destruction of their roosting sites. When planning renovations in old buildings where bats may be present, such as in chimneys, specific procedures must be followed: 1. **Assessment and Survey**: Before any work begins, a thorough assessment should be conducted to determine the presence of bats. This includes hiring a qualified ecologist to perform a bat survey, which is generally required under **Article 12 of the EU Habitats Directive**. 2. **Timing of Works**: Renovations should ideally be scheduled outside the breeding season (typically between May and August) and the hibernation period (between November and March) to minimize disturbance, as recommended in **Annex IV of the Habitats Directive**. 3. **Mitigation Measures**: If bats are found, mitigation measures must be implemented. This may include creating alternative roosting

Jeremiah 31:33-34 King James Version 33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Gods blessings over you .

Why not to use a liner with in chimney? Почему бы не использовать вкладыш в дымоходе? Так безопаснее и вероятность утечки газов меньше.

Illia Hoping along with you that this is the last of the demolition. I understand needing to get the walls as strong as possible. It's a dirty and hard job. But you just smile and keep going. I'm very impressed by your attitude. I wonder how much debris you have removed from the house since you started the renovation.
