Of course Tashigi knows about Sword. She probably heard the name, misunderstood if, and when she learned it wasn't a sword club, was disappointed at first but promised to help if they need.

Man Kuzan is such a fascinating character. Ohara changed him. It changed his destiny. He thought he could change the WG for good by becoming Fleet Admiral, and he lost. Here, he says it left him heartbroken. Garp reprimands him, saying only weaklings lose their way. But I think for Kuzan, it doesn't apply. He didn't lose his way. Rather, he found his way. Choosing to live for himself. Garp's words there can apply directly to Luffy. Post MF, he almost lost his way, but he didn't. Because he's not weak. He's not Aokiji. He's not a huge pillar of justice anymore. He's no larger than life symbol. He's.... just Kuzan, the human guy. Not trying to change the world. Just trying to live how he feels and do the occasional good deed. Joining a pirate crew not as an inside agent, it seems, but because he's come to appreciate the freedom they represent. No doubt Luffy helped him see that perspective

Kuzan is definitely a true blue Blackbeard Pirates member now, as proven by his completing the rite of passage for the crew by getting his ass handed to him in seconds by someone he clearly wasn't prepared to fight.

The things he says to Garp about "New favorite" and the fact that he felt heartbroken after losing does seem to point that this isn't Kuzan playing 4D chess. Sounds like he really needed the Fist of Love.

Blackbeard knowing about the Sulong form and the Immortal Surgery of the Op Op Fruit is a cool reveal of his knowledge of the world.

For all these years we'd been wondering how Blackbeard managed to recruit Kuzan, and this is all it was. He literally just had to ask. Nobody ever thought of that.

For anyone interested, blue holes are deep holes open to the ocean that were formed in the carbonate bedrock of a bank or island. They formed quite awhile ago, when the sea level was much lower due to an ICE AGE

I like how Garp handled Kuzan parallels Whitebeard’s when handling Teach during Marineford War, by grabbing them on the jaw, and smash the hell out of them to the ground I guess thats how old men from their generation handling trouble makers lol

I'm pretty sure Garp just makes up the names of his attacks on the spot. I mean come on, blue hole because he punches Aokiji, the ice guy, into a hole 😂 It fits his 'live in the moment' attitude

- The whirlpools could definitely also be created by fishman, and clever manipulation of existing currents. We get an example of that all the way back with Nami and Arlong, where they use the sea maps and currents to sink navy ships. It does not have to be a Devil Fruit or anything supernatural at all. - To me, Aokiji's demeanor with Blackbeard didn't quite feel right. Granted, we have not seen that much of Aokiji especially after he left the marines, but I wouldn't be surprised if this is still part of an undercover plan that pretty much only involved Sengoku and Akainu as Fleet Admirals. - A connection between Zoan and Zou'n (minks) would actually make quite some sense. We know that the Sulong forms are quite taxing to the Minks, and they have to train carefully to use it. What if a Zoan's awakening is alike to the Sulong form then, or Chopper's Rumble Balls sort of force the eater into a Sulong form. Zoan users having a tough time conquering their Awakening can be an indication of that same struggle, except that the Mink prepare for it their entire lives while a Zoan user likely is caught completely off-guard by it.

I like how Blackbeard looks bothered by Leffitte suggesting to kill Kuzan right in front of him. Really helped paint the image of what Blackbeard’s character is. He doesn’t like openly scheming to backstab someone. Blackbeard is much more tactical and patient when he actually plans it, and more likely he’s genuinely interested in having Aokiji join too. He’s charismatic enough to have Kuzan sit down with him, and he’s charismatic enough to make him join. Granted, part of it is likely Kuzan wanting to betray him. But Blackbeard isn’t a fool and he’s better than his crew in de-escalating conflict when he wants to.

Bepo as Rumble Sulong is amazing and implies so much for the future. If Chopper was able to tell his doctors on Zou about this then that makes their monthly transformation a thing of the past and they can possibly get more Minks trained properly in Sulong.

Until proven otherwise, Hibari is Sakazuki's daughter in my headcanon, and Kuzan froze her only because he still laments his leg

Also: while seeing Kidd being eviscerated was satisfying, if a bit shocking, Law's defeat was just heartbreaking. I mean, I knew it was going to happen, there was no way he could beat Blackbeard, but I was expecting they would maybe capture him or something. Seeing the Polar Tang torn to shreds is one of the most devastating panels in the series so far.

The theory about hibari being akainu's daughter is picking up more weigh since Kuzan froze only hibari while koby is right next to her. Kuzan might still be salty about that lost.

Law had that hat for YEARS. ITS HIS MOST ICONIC FEATURE! We gotta get it back!

While it's clear Kuzan has his own agenda being on BB's crew it's also very sad seeing his state in the flashback contemplating what he wants to do after leaving the Navy.

Now that i think about it, Oda is really gassing up the first mate position in these last few chapter. Benn Beckman was revealed to have taken Kidd's arm. Killer tried to intervene between Shanks and Kidd. Now Bepo saving Law and landing a hit on Blackbeard. Really digging this, wish we couldve seen this in Wano cause i kept wondering where tf Bepo was lol.

I saw that one panel with laws hat, and i remembered Ace and started tearing up immediately. I thought law was done for.

The interesting thing about how Blackbeard and Shanks took Road poneglyphs from Law and Kid is that while they both only got 2, they both have the means to get another one: -Law had Kaido's and Zou's, but Blackbeard probably took Big Mom's while they were out getting Pudding -Kid had Kaido's and Big Mom's, but Shanks knows there's one on Zou So essentially, all three of the main racers are now only looking for the man marked by flames. And about him, my theory is that it's a fishman. The poneglyph he has was originally on Fishman Island, the "Flame mark" could be the Sun pirate's symbol, and the whirlpools are easily explained if this is the case.

Something to point out is that both Kuzan joining Blackbeard and Blackbeard vs Marco and the remaining Whitebeard pirates happened a year ago. I've always wondered how Blackbeard was able to easily beat the Whitebeard remnants, but if that fight happened right after Kuzan joined up, then it makes more sense.

The reason you don’t see boxer throwing two punches at the same time is because it lowers your defenses and throwing one punch allows you to more effectively put you shoulder/body behind a smaller surface area. Two punches is awkward

Aokiji actually froze more then just San Juan, looks like he got Doc Q, Stronger, Vasco, and a few of the grunts of the crew.

I love how garp is just like kuzan u either put your uniform back on or you get the fist of love. I think both luffy and ace would become marines if garp worded it like that lol.

So with the Titanic Captains now all on the table, who do you think Kuzan is going to fight in the Straw Hats? Sanji is a likely option imo given how Oda tends to set up the powerhouses, but Robin would have so much more of an emotional impact. Don't really think she could win though. I really loved the Bepo stuff. I remember when Carrot was still highly talked about as a future Straw Hat, one of the arguments against her was being unable to go Sulong without the moon. Guess Chopper made a workaround for that. No way Chopper did not give that to any other Mink, hell, maybe that's why we didn't see her at the end of Wano? At the very least, the next time the Minks in general come into the story it's an option they have.

Seeing Teach talking to Kuzan gave some major Roger Vibes with him recruiting people. It'll be super cool if Luffy and Blackbeard (who have obvious parallels) exhibit traits of BOTH Roger and Rocks. Luffy is more Roger and Blackbeard is more Rocks (that we know of), but would be dope

As other people have mentioned, the ship outside of Egghead Island is very worrying now without Kuzan being there. For all we know, Lafitte and Catarina might already be on the island since Lafette can fly. That means anyone, including York with the Stella body, could potentially be Catarina in disguise.

Minor detail that I think you missed: It wasn't just Sanjuan who was frozen by Kuzan, it's hard to see since the panel is panned out in such a way as to focus on Sanjuan, but down at ground level you can also see Vasco Shot, Doc Q and Stronger have also been frozen. Not a major thing to have missed, but thought I'd point it out anyway!

One important piece of information was dropped by BB that should not be overlooked: As pointed out, he hasn't stolen it yet - and he suggests "should I sell it?" as an option. Meaning, the way he obtains DF powers involves them returning to fruit form , otherwise how will he sell it?

Yooo Tekking!!! That panel with Blackbeard reaching his hand out to Aokiji offering him to join his crew really reminds me of Roger’s outfit, looks very similar especially the coat, hoping we get a inverse parallel with that panel in the future!

I love Aokiji after having just been told about the existence of the Road Poneglyphs goes "Huh, that's news to me" and then proceeds to assume that the man marked by flames knows where #4 is hidden is him, like yes but no

Fun fact: Pirates had very strict ways of divvying up treasure, they first paid for repairs and rations, then split the remaining treasure into equal splits + 2, one of those extra shares for the captain, the other split between two of the other most important jobs, I cannot remember which they are off the top of my head.

Personally I took that chopper scene differently. I took it as chopper crafting another kind of drug that could work with mink physiology but went untested due to time constraints and just warning bepo that maybe it'll fail.

I have the same thought regarding Dragon. He's definitely the one holding the last poneglyph. Remember when Oda teased Vira, the island that's in control of revolutionaries that could be the potential location of the last road poneglyph? It could be there and Dragon might be the one manipulating the weather around it so that no pirate or WG member could go near it

I had assumed when he asked “Who do you think I have to blame for it?” He was talking about Teach, since his actions are what ultimately led to Marineford and the need for a new admiral.

I love the fact that Kusan isn’t just and undercover agent because I feel in a way that reduces from his character I respect how he chose this meaning he’s not letting other peoples goals guide him. He looks up to garp and wanted to bring change but after Ohara that changed him and when garp as his idol isn’t someone that’ll understand doing good from outside the marines seeing as he’s been unable to do so with dragon, ace and luffy. And the reason he likes coby is because coby embodies what garp wants to see. So I feel that it will be poetic for kuzan to beat garp here because he’ll feel more belief than ever in the decision he’s taken. It’ll also serve as a moment to spark people like coby and gruss

I saw a theory saying that Hawkin's prediction about Luffy and Zoro losing in one month was actually about the egghead incident and not Wano. The timeline actually matches up much better and we know that Hawkin's predictions are always accurate. They spend two weeks in Wano before the raid and then another week resting after the raid (3 weeks total.) Then they arrive at Egghead a few days later which would make it almost exactly a month. Now with kid and law now defeated, it would be the perfect setup for Luffy's loss.

I hope Aokiji is on BB's side. It would be a great character arc for him. Next, thus might not end well for Garp's rescue. He can just grab and toss the ship to save everyone, yet he's the only Fleet Admiral/Pirate King lvl opponent on the island; surrounded by Yonko Commanders. They don't have to fight Garp, just go after the other Marines. They were afraid to attack Hachinosu before Garp came along, which means they aren't on the level necessary to handle Yonko Commanders. Also, Garp talking about following one's own will sounded like he was speaking of himself. We still need a Garp backstory as to why he joined the Marines. Also, his entrance was similar to Luffy's at Marineford.

The last two chapters were amazing, but I feel that this chapter will be best to watch in the anime. Just seeing the interaction between kuzan and blackbeard, as well as his fight with Garp. Man, that's gonna be hype.

Those punches in the beginning made me laugh so hard because I was not expecting it, and it describing how Oda has been releasing these past few chapters was spot on.

I think Garp was just really impressed with The Sunny's coup de burst, that he wanted his ship to be able to do that too. It's a really nice callback to when Luffy escaped Garp at the end of the Water 7 arc.

I really appreciate how we also got some subtle characterization for Akainu here, with Kuzan making it seem like he was regretful of how they had to fight. Stark contrast from the no-mercy, no regrets guy we typically see. Assuming Kuzan didn’t just make that whole thing up for the sake of the magma joke LOL

I like how this chapter shows how everyone deal out there justice n how much Garp and kuzan mirror one other. how they differ in their way of changing the world gov, garp didn’t want to climb up the ranks to be more free n deal out his justice more his way, while kuzan was trying to change the WG from the top. So when he left cuz he didn’t want go against his ideology and how it would effect him. So if kuzan was a lower rank he would had join sword or never left the marines if he didn’t have his admiral position cuz he wouldn’t have to deal or see the crimes the world gov commits, sense admiral have to follow a whole special set of rules like CP0. Like if anyone annoy a C-dragon an admiral would come and kill a bunch of innocent ppl. I think taking should do a vid on rules and regulations in place by the world gov, that come with every rank or division including CP and wat rules allied nation have to follow to. To show how corrupt the world gov is from all aspects.

Kuzan being a BB pirate through and through is a pretty interesting narrative and I like it better than the Sword agent theory. Very excited to see what his ambitions were that led to this. This is also a great way to establish a "third strongest" BB fighter for Sanji to take on in the final SH vs BB battle.

Basically what we have here is Blackbeard taking Laws crew to be prisoners so that Law rejoins the SH in order to save his crew

I’m pretty sure the name of the book sanjis reading on the cover page says “cocking” and then a 👑 symbol. I saw someone say coc means “coating of conquer’s” and then “king” is left with the 👑 Maybe hint that sanji has conquers?

My personal theory about the man marked by flames is that it's going to be Sunbell He is a fishman, and being a former member of the Roger pirates it would definitely be possible to believe that he can use a powerful form of fishman karate to create whirlpools It would also make sense for Roger to give someone the role of protecting one of the poneglyphs, to ensure that only Joyboy would be able to reach Laughtale, and it would not be the first time that he places someone on important steps along the way The pitch black ship could simply be the Oro Jackson, painted to make it unrecognizable so that people like the government would not pursue it

I don't think he's in sword but I also don't think he's for BB either. I'd say he's using BB as a means to overthrow the WG, while also remaining close to the one man who will make the world worse than it already is.

Two things I noticed, in the cover page the Book Sanji is holding says Cockbook instead of cookbook, and only Sanji is awake holding it whilst all others are asleep, a hint that Sanji also will show CoC haki. 2nd thing I noticed is that when Luffy and the crew found Bonnie, she was stuck in a whirlpool that didn’t seem natural, maybe she ran into said man with the burn scars
