So about Aokiji, in the anime they never show his leg missing ever, it's canon but it's never been shown. So it's not really a spoiler.

That ending scene always makes me tear up a bit since it shows that Zephyr was still that kid trying to fight the world’s bullies and as misguided as his attempts were, he just wanted to be a hero and save the innocent

That final scene is also great because Zephyr essentially is able to complete BOTH of his dreams right before his death. As a child he dreamed of being a hero (Z). He joined the navy and devoted himself for them in order to achieve his dream and becoming a hero. As time passed he eventually took a step back and started training new marines, creating his second dream: "I want to create heroes." However he was "corrupted" and instead of a hero, he bacame the villain called Z. Then comes the final scene. The battle with Luffy awakens him from his hatred just before Kizaru and his group arrives. In the final scene Zephyr gets to be the hero (Z) he always wanted to be and save the strawhats and his two remaining studenst, while also acting as a villain for his students to stop, which in turn makes them the heroes who took down the great villain Z who wanted to destroy the world. In his last stand he both gets to be the hero he always wanted to be and also gets to see the heroes he wanted to raise, while a literal funeral song plays in the background for his honor. Damn beautiful!

Every time u see something new dont think you are getting spoiled because in fact some of these informations are not revealed in the anime and they are not this important lore wise, ofc Aokiji gets scars from a battle, don't be mad at that

These one piece movies tend to reveal some major tidbits of info before even the manga gets to it (biggest example being something revealed in the latest movie). These breadcrumbs are canon, and assumably added into the films by Oda to tie them further to the story and give the manga readers some new notable canon info.

Z/Zephyr is voiced by Hōchū Ōtsuka, the same VA who voiced Montblanc Noland in Skypiea Also Z is around the same age as Whitebeard (72 pre-timeskip)

Yeah Film Z still tops stampede and the latest one piece film. It just had emotion that Z had stuck to me than any other one piece films.

You keep whining about the "spoilers," but you do realize they were made specifically for the movie. Oda wrote this story himself, so he made the choices himself. Furthermore, you realize you're not going to see Aokiji until...hell, he hasn't appeared yet, so you're waiting hundreds of episodes.

I wholeheartedly believe that Film Z is the best One Piece movie. Not to discredit the others at all, but it's a solid, self-contained story with a great villain, and a great representation of what One Piece is as a whole. (Movie 6 is a *very* close second though)

Yeah, being as sensitive to spoilers as you guys are (I’m the same way), it may be best to wait to watch some of the movies because there are definite spoilers if you watch them around the time they canonically take place. Stampede takes place in weird movie-canon timeline of around ep 890, but contains some pretty huge lore that you don’t actually find out about until about 80 episodes later. Similarly, Red is usually recommended around ep 1030, but has spoilers up to 1070+ AND even some stuff that isn’t in the manga yet. Iirc, there’s not really any spoilers in Gold (that one is pretty contained), but it’s been a while since I watched it so I’m not quite sure

you watch gold after dressrosa, since there's a filler arc right after dressrosa that leads to the pure gold movie with the treasure hunter dude, which goes into episode 0, and then you have film gold.

26:16 sorry to say but it's annoying to hear you rant abt movie this anime that. One leg gone is not that "BIG" of a revealed lol. His leg doesn't matter to the plot. What matter is he and akainu fighting and he lost. Why the hell you getting pissed off abt a leg. Doesnt make any sense.

About everything good about one piece in single movie. Chapters and anime took forever to move forward so good movie felt good right after timeskip.

It's not my favorite movie but it's definitely up there, visually it was amazing but i feel like the strawhats had really no reason to be involved and the stakes felt contrived But it all looked and sounded amazing and it had very cool concepts I really wish you guys react to movie 6 it is one of the best one piece movies and my personal favorite

The thing about One Piece movies is they give spoilers for those that only watch the anime but give hints for those that read the manga, however those spoilers don't ruin the events (except for a particular one in film Red), other than that, these spoilers are on purpose and it's okay, the experience wont be ruined cause there's plenty of things that are going to be explained yet, remember the movies are not canon but characters are.

If you bother with it you wont be able to see the next movie once you caught up beacuse Oda always add some Canon infomation in his movie before even reveal in the manga. * to clarify Onepiece movie after Strong is semi canon which mean the actual movie is not canon but all villian is canon charcter exist in the canon world.

This might not be an actual "fact", but I read this japanese comment pointing out something interesting, so kind of a fun fact: In the last fight between Z and the marine, you can't see Kizaru's eyes through his sunglasses, so probably he was crying. But the fact that they didn't showed his eyes adds more emotion to this scene.

In Sanji's defense, despite being a huge pervert he seems to have a sixth sense for whether or not a girl is underage and refuses to perv on them and is only nurturing towards them. The joke about him perving on the idea of watching Nami grow up is actually out of character for him.

THe MAJORITY STORY LINE WISE OF THIS MOVIE IS CANNON BECAUSE ODA DREW COVER STORIES OF ZEPHYPR AND THE MARINES I GET THAT YOU ARE ANNOYED BUT THAT IS THE PATIENCE YOU HAVE TO HAVE IF YOU ARE AN ANIME ONLY. Actually, you reacted too quickly to this film, so you ran into spoilers. There should be a sequence of anime episodes and films when to watch them. but it's already come to pass... maybe you're celebrating Christmas so you want to watch the One Piece movie but it's too soon...hee
