Its known that most stores use tcgplayer prices but the problem was that FF had posted previously that they will not receive any more distribution of the newest set and 3 days later a "pallet" was suddenly there with more product. This company was known to cancel pre order and resell it at after market prices, hence why all the hate

The store is Forge and Fire Gaming in MO. The source is primary, as in they posted it directly themselves.

My locals store on Tuesday said they received a case and would sell boxes for $150.they haven't had product in for 2 months.

The sad truth is allocation on the next 2 sets has already been cut in half for all stores. so if they can't even meet demand on an upcoming set, how on earth are they gonna make a reprint big enough to make any kind of impact on the market. there is also a new dbz tcg and union arena set to release this year. So i would be amazed if prices actually plummet. hell even the official Bandai store has changed the policy to 6 packs per person now.

Me personally, I don’t pay above retail for anything. It’s a rule I’ve just set for myself after a lot of learned over the years. I’ll miss out on some deals, but it’s served me very well so far.

People were emptying targets of their OnePiece. I doubt they thought it was going to go that nuts, so it makes sense if the sellers are there, sell them something they want.

I’m in for reprints. Not a fan of seeing boxes wayyyy above msrp. It’s so annoying. Cuz stores are hoarding and scalpers have nothing better to do other than by everything and resell

out of all the TCG's they NEED to print more for players and collectors......also I thought originally they said OP TCG wasn't going to be over printed because they wanted to keep it a collectable game

The difference from other TCG is that OP is mostly for the players and the market is based on playability not collectability. Japanese equivalents are cheap even for OP01 and boxes are widely available still.

I really hate those people who manipulate the market and hog all the products ..especially when the game is actually fun. Just managed to buy 1 booster box of op 05 and thats it i havent gotten any after the prize spike

Too over priced to get into. If they do get some at the shops I’ve been to they sell out. I’ve been wanting to play since it was announced. The prices for booster boxes is just insane. Do they have the same issues in Japan?

One piece is at the same place pokemon was durong covid. I have seen local stores stopped selling boosterpacks because the boosterboxes git so expensive. Also my friends are able tonpre order stuff that doesnt release in a year. Its crazy amd stores are taking advantage of the community

It’s a overreaction by the novice Bandai bag holders. Bandai won’t be hitting the kill button but it could be a decent time to buy if you can’t get at msrp. Expect reprint to be small and devoured quickly

Just throw all the key cards for decks in starters like they did with the zoro in st-10. Make scalpers mad. Throw some of the admirals in a starter deck and really make them mad.

At the prices one piece “was” at.. I honestly can’t believe people hoarding that much product thinking what? It’s gonna go up even more than the 10000x it was up? I totally get holding onto a couple cases but come on… this was probably the easiest news to guess.. then holding a ton of product was just greed and I’m glad they are losing what they coulda made 👍🤷🏽‍♂️

Will this affect DBZ you think? This is crazy. Reprints are never good for collectors or people investing in tcg. Pokémon deals with it all the time and the reprints generally have worse pull rates. Good content. I am a new sub and I follow Danny phantump for the same reasons you listed.

Danny is sadly not as you say. He manipulated prices many times when it comes to pumping his favourite Sun/Moon era alt arts. Making videos which impacted the prices on the market. Same with evolving skies boxes and singles.
