“One Shot Physics” is a historical documentary about high consequence testing in Tech Area III at Sandia National Labs. This documentary is dedicated to the men and women of Sandia who, through their bold ingenuity, pioneered the field of high consequence testing and conducted large-scale hazardous tests in support of nuclear deterrence and national security.

At 1:39, the narrator pronounces nuclear as 'nu-ku-lar', and that's all I can think about for the rest of the video. What about that word is so difficult for so many people?

One would think that Sandra National Labs would get their facts strait before publishing. It wasn’t Japanese torpedoes that wouldn’t detonate after being fired. It was US torpedos that had that issue. The Japanese arguably built the best torpedo of WW II. What really gets my goat is the narrators mispronunciation of the word nuclear. It’s pronounced “new clear” not “nuckuler”. Come on people make us proud. You can do better than this.

As you live longer you will notice a distinctive speech for each location. In Alaska you cannot interrupt... the... long... pauses. If you do they won't talk to you. Boston, aaahhh. The Prarie states add R's. Like Warsh. California talks endlessly, very quickly about virtually nothing. Just be patient and enjoy life's differences.

Japanese torpedoes worked just fine. It´s American torpedoes that didn´t work, and for the voice over to say otherwise says, they´ve gathered some video on the subject, but they don´t know what they´re talking about and they don´t care.

Such an interesting job, but the narrator can’t pronounce nuclear. At 1:38, She mentions “…a world-class nuc-yooler weapons testing complex…” Luckily, their test protocols are better than their sound editing. You’d think Sandia, in what amounts to a commercial for their wares, would care about that level of accuracy in their marketing.

You kind of answer your own doubts within one sentence. A commercial plane breaks into millions of pieces, almost none bigger than your hand if they hit water at high speed. Concrete should and did just about vaporize one. Theres more than meets the eye with 9/11, but missiles, I'd bet my life on it, weren't involved.
