The reason why this song doesn't go as hard as the other songs is because Undefeatable, Break Through it All, and Find Your Flame are boss themes, while this is the ending theme to the game, and is also supposed to be a message from Sonic Team to Sonic fans

It's not meant to be a go-hard song since it's the True Ending song (unlike Vandalize which was the Normal Ending), it's a straight up inspirational speech since the lyrics are, in the game's composer's own words, "a message from Sonic Team to the fans". It even features motifs from previous games in the guitar solo: Reach For The Stars from Sonic Colors and Endless Possibility from Sonic Unleashed, 2 of the more highly regarded games in the franchise. Also, Nate was a guest singer for last year's Sonic Symphony.

Yeah what enhances this song is THE CONTEXT - this is not just a good song - this is a heartfelt message - when you put into mind that this song embodies Sonic Team's struggles, failures and that they are telling they refuse to give up when so many people still believe in them, they will stand up once more and no matter what will reach that "One Way Dream". And that every Sonic Fan knows how rocky last years were for Blue Blur - especially in terms of his games - to hear SO MUCH HOPE in this message while Frontiers itself is a walking proof of Sonic Team "igniting again"... This means so much more to fans and enhances song, making it so special in a very unique way. NateWantsToBattle here is not to deliver a song in "his style" - he is here to deliver the message and all emotions attached to it from a group of people. If "Undefeatable", "Find your flame", "Don't look down" are awesome by themselves... "One Way Dream" shines as bright (or even more) because of how perfectly it delivers its message and how much it means to fans who have 20+ years of context to understand what is so special about this song.

I heard the motif for Reach For the Stars when I was watching the stream but didn't hear the rest clearly cuz I was listening to the guy talking, but I love this song. Shame I didn't hear it on my first playthrough cuz I got juked by the wording for the difficulty in my language lmao

This is actually the credits song for the end of the game, and is a word from the dev team to the fans. It isnt meant to go as hard as the other songs because those are the boss themes, which are insane.

Part of the reason why the song isn't as "hard" is because the song is a sentimental message from Sonic Team to their fans, showing that they've regain their creative spark after a decade of uninspired titles. The composer for the Sonic series, Tomoya Ootani, already spoke as much. It also worth noting that this is a credits theme.

Crush40 has made most of the vocal songs for the Sonic Series. I think you would probably enjoy "I am all of me" or "All Hail Shadow". You should react to those and "What I'm made of" and "Knight of the Wind”

The guitar solo is a recreation of the main theme of 2010's Sonic Colors, Speak With Your Heart. If you've heard of it that's what it reminds you most likely. This song is also a letter from Sonic Team themselves, the composer confirmed so, I like that it's more soft and emotional than the rest. Makes the lyrics feel that much more impactful, this is the Sonic Team & Fans VS The World theme song and I'm all for it, it's full of passion. Might be my favorite Nate song of all time.

I recommend you to react at the Crush 40 songs that they made for previous sonic games like "Live & Learn", "Scape from the City", "Seven Rings in Hand", "Knight of the Wind".... These are some of the best songs for me. I love your content! Amazing channel.

I honestly love this song, not as much as the others but it's a great song in my opinion and it only plays after you beat the game on hard mode during the end credits and it's really that type of song that makes you reflect on your journey as a whole through Sonic Frontiers in a beautiful way which is why I believe this song is perfect as is in my opinion but I do understand what you mean.

If you want to hear more Sonic songs with Nate I recommend you listen to the second half of the Sonic's 30th Anniversary Symphony where he sings several songs (Endless Possibility and Escape from the City if I remember correctly). It's available on the official Sonic KZfaq channel and it includes more vocal themes from the games, like Open Your Heart and Live and Learn from Crush 40

Ok but one Sonic song you absolutely need to hear because it's absolutely phenomenal is "With Me" from Sonic and the Black Knight. Both versions, the Crush 40 version and Marty Friedman version. They're both very different but phenomenal songs.

Honestly, there's one track that I think would be amazing for you to listen to in this general OST, one that I'm surprised people haven't mentioned in the slightest here! It's not a track that has any vocals due to where it's placed in the game, but it's one called "I'm with you" that goes so hard for what it is.

i dunno if you read comments but I just figured to put it out there but with more of an explanation - please do NOT listen to "dear father", it will just be an awkward video all around, it's not metal or even rock, but a sad emotional theme that's meant for a, well, sad moment in the game. You've listened to all the rock/metal songs the game had to offer, and most of the people that are recommending it are most likely sonic fans who just found your channel and don't really are familiar with what you typically listen to if you're interested in more sonic songs that'd be similar to the previous ones you listened to though, I'd recommend something like "Infinite" from sonic forces - it's also pretty heavy

I highly recommend listening to some songs from Crush 40 from the previous games, they aren't quite as heavy as the Kellin Quinn songs in this game but they are definitely way heavier than One Way Dream I'd recommend Live and Learn, Open your Heart, Knight of the Wind, I Am... All of Me, What I'm Made Of, and/or His World (This last one isn't crush 40, they did a cover but i personally don't think it's as good as the original one by Zebrahead) also if anyone recommends you listen to "Dear Father" please do not, it's not a bad song but it is absolutely not your style and it contains heavy spoilers from the game's story, it'll just be an awkward time all around

So the interesting thing about the music in this game is that it has completely different vibes depending on what you're doing. In the open world you have sweeping orchestral music that builds as you progress using 7 different variations for each area. In the digital world where you play levels the music has a electronic dance feel to it, one of the songs is straight up dubstep. You hear all of those throughout the gameplay on the first island, and then you reach the first boss. This cool, slow orchestral music starts playing and you climb to the top of the titan to collect the last emerald you need, and then you transform. Super Sonic has always been an end of the game thing, but now you get to transform into him during the first boss and Undefeatable begins to play. It makes such an incredible feeling when you experience it. Not to mention the lyrics are basically Sonic talking down to this deadly Titan because of just how powerful he is now

this must be a repeat to what happened with Christain Whitehead. the aforementioned developer laid the groundwork for Sonic Mania and got hired by Sega. as to NateWantsToBattle Sega most likely took notice that he's done covers of a lot if not all of Sonic's best music that have lyrics and decided to see what he could do in an official capacity.
