I found your channel because of your writing advice videos, I'll admit, but I love your update videos that talk about your projects and your passion for your work. I think all your ideas for videos that you want to do are awesome, and you should do them if you want to. I'm a big proponent of making content that makes you happy. If you don't enjoy making advice videos, or are just ready to step away from them in lieu of something different, then you should do it. Congrats again!

Happy anniversary, Ben! It's odd that I discovered your channel around the time your viewing figures dipped - maybe it was me 🤦‍♂️. Content wise, I think the only thing you need to consider is what you'll find excitement in sharing. You've already created a catalogue of videos full of amazing and inspiring writing tips, I've loved being able to dip into the different videos when I've needed a boost. I'd really love to hear more about your own writing and how you're feeling about it and how you're going with promoting and selling. I'd love to be part of a writers group where I could share ideas, read stuff I'm proud of or not too sure about and hear other peoples too. I'm happy you're in a good place and feeling confident in your writing. Looking forward to your next video!👍

Well done on a year on youtube. I think videos about your writing process will be helpful to many writers.

Been having alot of similar feelings, not just with youtube but with twitter and instagram--is it a better use of my time to start trying to use social media to gain an audience for my work, to put that out there. I think alot about tailoring my stuff to "how to" type of things, but you're right in saying that that's not the sort of thing that's gonna draw people into eventually buying a book. Ultimately it's tricky either way. I'm also hoping fall and winter brings more interest into writing content, but my motivation usually tanks between January and March lol. Anyways congrats on one year. I can't remember how far back i subbed, but I've really enjoyed your content and your laid back demeanor on camera. If you leaned more into just focusing on talking about your writing and characters, I'd be pretty happy. I just started reading Bewilderness 2 (it came out at a time when like ...3 or 4 other books I was looking forward to came in, so I wanted to give it the time it deserves). Excited to see where it goes.
