Great example of styles making fights, because Kade is obviously world champ and deserves it but stylistically matches up with Tommy unfavorably - Tommy is one of the best on earth at countering high step and float passing, if you watch B Team’s footage of him rolling with Nicky Ryan he constantly schlorps him back into his guard, I’d love it if he released an instructional on entangling passers

This should be a draw. Kade had pressure, but norway guy had more solid submission attempts.

Kade was not worried about the sub attempts. His leg defense is elite, he beat Lachlan giles for Pete sake the guy to taught Craig jones. Besides the point is he pushed the pace more and was trying to make it exciting not lay and butt scoot and play leg spaghetti the whole time.

No he wasn’t he was on defense the whole time. Kade never looked worried about the leg locks because his leg game is elite. Plus he pushed the pace and constantly chasing the pass and back which is a more dominant position than 50/50.

Tommy was robbed by the judges. He had more sub attempts and put Kade on defensive most of the match. Granted, Kade had more passing attempts but they should not have counted as equal to submission attempts.

I wouldn't call what Ruotolo was doing, "passing attempts." It would be more, "trying to look active for the judges."

For everyone wondering. Kade won because he was the one pushing the pace and putting himself at risk on top of constantly being on the offense. Tommy is playing bottom and sticking to his comfort zone most of the match. Kade pushed the fight forward. Tommy reacted.

When you go for a color tie, and your opponent has hair like that which disrupts establishing gripps, you should be allowed to grab the hair with it 💯. How is covering nose/mouth allowed and grabbing hair isn't! In the street, you get into a fight, and my opponent has a hair like that, I am grabbing it just like a lapel grip.
