Stiffy install, you can accomplish the job without removing the roller bearing from rail. I was concerned that the balls might not be captured and would fly everywhere. Just loosen the 4 small set screws and slide the housing off the bearing. Easy peasy and you don't have to worry bout getting trash inside the bearing. Great video, thanks for taking the time.

I did not think about that at the time, luckiely for me, the roller bearing unlike the ball screw, has sealed bearing rings in it or this would have been a whole other video :). I really hope that neither of us need to take it apart again. Thanks for sharing and way to go on thinking out of the box!!

After watching most videos on this I could not find anyone who showed you everything witch I was looking for I needed this video so bad thanks man I'll be watching again later to finish of my forman never used cnc before I think I'm in over my head but hope I can stick with it and not get stressed lol

Thank You, that means a lot to me. All you need to do is take it one day at a time. Watch the entire series, this was just the initial setup - there is a final video that shows the final build and how to get your machine squared. When you are ready run some test boards before hitting it with an expensive piece of wood. I typically run a few tests before I cut anything. Good Luck!!!

I'm of work now for 3 days but might go down shed later if the wife will let me .I've hoover and washed the pots and got fire goin for her then make her a coffee so should be all good 👍

We used to heat a VW in the deep winter in northern NY with a 40W incandescent bulb, use it to illuminate your enclosure maybe and place the unit in the enclosure until you fire it up, the computer processors when running will stay warm.

I just came across your channel. Looks like your going to have nice setup. If you ever need anything we are always available through the support portal of the PwnCNC website. If I try to leave the actual address/link KZfaq refuses to post the comment. They remind me of the HOA you mentioned in your channel description. I also live in the country... well actually the hills.... well actual the mountains. I'm from the highest county seat east of the Mississippi so you might say we are hillbillies. Regardless it's nice to be able to build a shop, pull a 100amp sub-panel for power and fill the shop full of robots without asking anyone permission. Anyway... I look forward to seeing what you build with your Elite.

I'd recommend using some blue threadlocker on all the mounting screws to stop them working loose overtime.

So I'm ready to install the small and larger silver screws to the gantry.. I only found 1 video of how to do this from an individual. My question is, there are 4 holes on the inside of that cavity Do the tiny screws go in the hole that's just of center towards the back ? Thank you. Tony

I think your are talking about the X-Axis. Look at this video, starting at 5:20. If you have issues let me know.

Where did you find the stiffy screws? I looked in the box with all the other screws and didn’t see them.

Mine with in a little baggie in the box. I saw on the facebook thread someone else complaining they could not fine them either. Maybe they did not ship with some machines. Reach out to onefinity. if you want to get it set up - you can also try to find them locally. you may need to take your stiffy to the store to find out the thread.
