From now on the spindle kits will come with a very simple wire change and some programming. The BB controller uses Modbus while the Masso controller uses PWM. There will be no internal VFD Enclosure rewiring required to make this work.. and programming is super easy. I'll release a video on how to do that process.

Compared to my Machinist's motors, they stick out 2.25" whereas this new Elite Woodworker motors stick out roughly 4" if you give safe place for their wires.

The pendant is direct from Masso. I ordered several things at the same time which did help with shipping. I haven't got the pendants e-stop working but hoping to have it solved soon.

From the surface of my assembly table to the top of the motor is roughly 21.5"... up to 23" with the spindle cable loop at the top. If you want to include a hose across the top, i'd add 4-6" on top of that for 29"

I'd say absolutely no smaller than 48x48 inside dimensions. That is with mounting the Masso touch controller just outside of the enclosure btw.

The Onefinity's Masso controller is an absolute game-changer!!!!! IMO that is the epidemy of hobby level cnc controllers at the moment and if your machine doesn't run one... figure out how to add it. Both machines are mechanically capable. There is definitely more standard mechanical design elements to the S5. Certainly the size is awesome and the fact that they enlarged it to fully and completely support not only carving 4x4 but also clamping stock for a 4x4 cut is just awesome... cudos to C3D for that design decision.

This is what I was hoping to see as well. It doesn't look like water lines are going to fit into the drag chains - they already look completely full.

Correct, the stock drag chains will not fit coolant tubes. They work great with the spindle power cable though. I do see some potential for increasing the width of the metal bracket supporting the chain which is perfect for enlarging the chains for tubes. I'm definitely looking into it as a possible upgrade accessory.

You'll easily be able to cut all types of wood and a little bit of aluminum as well with the right speeds-n-feeds.

That's a Milwaukee driver. LOVE them as the torque can be lowered to 1 which is pretty much hand tightening.

All of our cables are shielded yes. No one has reported EMI issues with their machines... even when the Spindle's power cable is routed within the cable chain along with unshielded stepper motor cables. Referring to the Onefinity wires... a recent trend with CNC manufacturers... Onefinity, C3d, and others is to put simple wires into their cable chains wrapped only on either end, but within the cable chain the wires are free. Really sad to see this trend happening but it is. As for PwnCNC products... we thoroughly believe in over-engineering where it makes sense and shielded cables in our spindle kit wiring are an important step to mitigating EMI.

48x48 is perfect spacing for the Woodworker Elite. if you were putting a "top" to that enclosure... leave about 26-30" which should be enough for routing a 2.5" hose.

@PwnCNC Thank you! The current spec on Onefinity's site shows the widest point of the woodworker being 45", but that's the woodworker x-35. I didn't know if this was accurate for the Elite with the bigger stepper motors, standard wire management on the side rail, and the bigger controller.

30" would be perfect actually if your enclosure is 30" above the surface of where the machine will be mounted to. The z-stepper motor is 21.5" up. This is the Woodworker Elite, and I suspect it's the same height for the other size machines. The total depth of the Woodworker is 48" from front to back accounting for the wiring. This is IF you remove the Masso and mount it on the outside of your enclosure. If you leave it mounted onto the machine you'll need another 12".

@@PwnCNC So if I'm understanding you correctly, an enclosure for the WW would need to be 48" wide by 60" deep? Is that with the silver Masso bracket parallel to the Y rail? If perpendicular to the Y rail the enclosure would need to be 60" wide by 48" deep?

@@Swick_ Mounting the power-box under the table... the WW would need 57" wide minimum and 60" deep... if i were to make worst-case scenario moving the masso controller around. This would basically give you 12" of surface space in front of the machine considering how the Masso screen moves around... along with roughly 8" off the left side of the machine, again with masso turned so it takes up as much space off the left as possible.

This is their smaller "Woodworker" size... 32x32. This size actually fits perfectly in my garage and is mobile enough to make bringing it into conventions far easier.
