@@timr.2257 it's just freaking fragile + many ways to break. I have no issues but ngl I've had 2 dreams of a broken screen😂💀 for everyone interested in the open, only get it if the risk outweigh the costs. otherwise the 12 is the best one to get.

So you can use just the cover screen? I disagree because one handed usability is an ace feature and it means the inner screen isn't a square. People who want the bigger cover screen, better cameras, and bigger battery should just buy a bar phone for less money

@@adeetard2545so typing on it feels normal. Zfold outer display is thinner than 13 mini. Its horrible to type on. Besides samsung phones have a feature where when you swipe down near home button, displau shrinks, allowing you to reach high points. I love that its so useful

@@adeetard2545this is a dumb take. Being forced to use the bigger screen with such a narrow useless display isn’t the way to do it. The point of a fold is that you have options of inner and outer display. Not forced to use one of the two

I think for certain apps like Instagram you should do 30mins with the large screen and 30mins with the small screen, because I could see lots of people using apps like Instagram on both screens.

Having a four-way testing is much better and gives more productive results that having two phones being tested. You guys should also do a four-way drop and speed tests more.

@@carver9312 you’re in the minority here bud, just because YOU like it, doesn’t mean it’s going to stay. It’s going away because a majority of people complained about it. You’re going to have to stick with the old Z Folds otherwise you’ll be getting a wider screen. So I’m good.

Why do you insert standby times into the battery test of these phones? Why don't you be consistent and have the test run on a single app across all devices, so the consumer actually knows what performs the best and for approximately how long? You could even run different tests on different apps--one for CPU testing, one for GPU/gaming testing, etc. Opening and closing an app immediately isn't what most people do with their phones and doesn't drain as much battery as using one app for extended periods of time.

Keep in mind, some phones kill background apps and/or services (such as notifications) more than others (Chinese phones are more notorious for this) and this is not mentioned in such battery tests. For example, one may do better in battery tests as it has killed more background apps and/or services before / during the tests.

Had both the oneplus open and magic v2, the magic v2 had the best battery in my general use, had a fold 4 and 5 which battery's were horrible, screen on time magi v2 10hrs, oneplus 9.30mins galaxy 6hrs so cannot see how your test is accurate,

The display actually DOESNT play a role in the battery drain... The differences in phone sizes are so small that the difference is irrelevant. You can make this assumption that a bigger screen drains more battery when comparing a phone to a tablet or Laptop, but not from phone to phone. And the clearest indication for this are phones that are available in different sizes. If the display actually would drain more if it's bigger, an iPhone 15 Pro Max would only last as long as a 15 Pro because the display is about as much bigger as the battery. But it lasts much longer because the display needs about the same power, not more.

larger display definitely consume more power bruhh, you have no idea what you're talking about. The reason why larger phones outperform smaller ones is because the increase in battery size is much more than increase in display size and display size is a very small peice of equation, refresh rate and brightness have a larger impact.

Seriously man... After Android 14 update on ONE PLUS OPEN the battery has gone to absolutely worse experience. SOT has gone from 5/6 hours to 3/4 hours which is totally unacceptable. Does any one face the same issue ??

Percentage drops mean nothing, guys, you should have known by now that mAh matters, so if 1000mAh drops by 5% and 5000mAh battery drops by 5%, the smaller battery phone is doing much better (because 5% of 1000 is 50 and 5% of 5000 is 250)

everyone be commenting and don't even own a zfold5 😂 I own one and I can say safely that with the bans and sanctions it's hard for other companies to gain sales. zfold5 is closest to a good foldable for international. plus zfold 6 is changing the aspect ratio to be bigger so everyone who likes these thin bezels better get ur zfold5 now
