I never realized how deep, relatable and beautiful this song this actually was until I got older and experienced the same feeling.

I've been working through a lot of problems lately as I move into college, and in the midst of it all, I realized this song was playing on loop in my head. I couldn't tell you why, I'd never listened to it aside from hearing it on the radio a lot when I was younger. But I looked it up, and as I did, I just couldn't stop crying. I needed something like this. A chance to just let it all out. And as someone who doesn't cry often, I don't get that chance as much as I'd like to. I feel a lot better now. All I have to say is, thank you.

What makes this song more special than it already is was that this song came out after “Apologize” which was their big hit. This one really would determine whether or not they were just a one hit wonder. Safe to say that wasn’t the case seeing how big they are now. Love this song

Apologize was my introduction to OneRepublic, as I’m sure it was for most people, but Stop And Stare is what sold me on them. Amazing message. This band is frustratingly underrated still today

You know, whenever someone asked me, "what's your favorite song?" I always struggled to answer that question. But I am just now realizing I can truly call this one of my favorite songs, and that is a powerful title to have for someone like me. This song truly has something special. I first started listening to it when I was in middle school, and it resonated with me ever since. I always find myself coming back to this song and feeling understood, even though those feelings are hard to put into words. This song does it for me. It's hard to name a song you feel like can truly capture a part of your character but this one just does it for me perfectly. Thank you One Republic for always making music that is quite literally timeless to me. I never expressed it enough.

My mind has been singing this song lately so I came here to feed my brain with quality music.

My mom loved the Lord with all her heart and died early at 51. As a small child I would see her in the kitchen doing dishes and she would be singing this old song. My how I miss her tonight. Hug your living loved ones and tell them how much you love them because when the Lord takes them home it will change you forever. I am 65 now but I still remember her singing this like it was yesterday. May this song bring you hope and comfort!

This song and video means a lot to me. I was obsessed with this and One Republic three years ago. I never really understood this video. Now that I watch and listen, I'm taken back to my happier days, where I didn't know my future would be bright. But now that future I once had is my past, and this song lets me take another grasp at it. And now I understand the meaning of all this. Its important we all stop and stare every now and then, some truth is revealed.

Wish I could go back in time and cherish all those happy memories I made, with friends playing certain video games, being little shits and not giving zero fucks about what is going on in the world. I never would’ve thought that those days would just become memories that are now impossible to relive. Life is different now, I’m not a kid and I have priorities, and I have to give a fuck about what’s going on in the world. Life just isn’t the same anymore, and I’d give ANYTHING just to relive ONE day of when I was a kid. I miss those days of getting home from School and playing Halo, or doing some WWE BS on the trampoline outside. Those days are just memories that make me both happy but sad, all I can be grateful for is that I have those memories to cherish. Even if I know I’ll never get to relive them. This song is a reminder of those days, because I never really did stop and stare and take in those moments, but now I stop and stare to relive those moments.
