A game like this should be on CBC !!! … i think they were presenting figure skating at the same time. Other sports network were oresenting golf and curling … good Lord, it’s our National team ! Our top scorer is leading French Ligue 1 and our best player is one of the best left winger in the world. Canada has to wake up and oust Mauro Biello. Not that he is a bad guy but give this team a world class head coach and we could be in the top ten with this roster.

well, they were outplayed by a wide margin, so not so much about unlucky. they had maybe three chances to score the whole game, but canada had more chances and most of the possession in the Trinidad zone.

So glad the boys got it done and gifted themselves the opportunity to play the #1 ranked team in the world!! But that was a tactical embarrassment. We won't be able to secure results against Chili and Peru with tactical management like that. We need a proper coach in place by the June camp.

well, it's good enough for now as long as we have a long term plan. We have several star players, but we don't have enough players to choose from national pool compared to US and Mexico.

It's about quality...look at Uruguay. Only 3.4 million people yet the success they've had is amazing. Croatia as well with only 3.9 people have been truly incredible. Both these countries have a very limited amount of players to choose from yet have managed to reach great heights. Canada's problem isn't just players, the problem lies in coaching, management, administration etc. This game is a perfect example...why was it not televised on regular television? The CSA has to do a much better job at promoting the game, and the players.

Jonathan David is genuinely not a good player. He can finish but besides that he offers absolutely nothing and we see it every single game. Davies was also embarrassing today

He scores enough goals for club and country to qualify as at least a good player. But I agree that he doesn't provide much if any 1 on 1 ability and because of that he does almost seem to be non-existent at times.

You mean bad tactical strategy...yes...play more upfront with Larin, maybe or have them on at different times? He has an important role, he can certainly finish, has an amazing eye for goal, but does not have amazing 1 on 1 skill usually. He's got great pace, a great shot and a good touch on the ball. Davies probably tried to do to much...keep him on the left wing (use strategy), passing, crosses. That's why it'd be great to get Bair in the middle. Play Choinere and Shaffleburg for longer periods of time?
