For anyone wondering, all the downhill skiing events (Slalom, GS, and Super GS) require the skiier to have both feet on the proper side/boundaries to clear the gate (red and blue flags). If the skiier misses a gate and finishes, they are DQ'd unless you stop and hike back up the hill (which the game doesn't allow you to do) and clear the gate properly. It adds time but saves you from DQ, unless olympic rules are different from high school racing rules. Running head first into the gate does not count unless you somehow get both feet on the proper side, and I assume the rules are the same for snowboard events
