we're discouraged from discussing it but it doesn't magically make it go away so here ya go Dingdong made such a big deal about being anonymous that people just had to go and ruin it by pushing him out of the closet to his parents. So there ya go. The details aren't important but his privacy was violated.

I know they don’t want people talking abt it so I’ll cut it short: basically Dindong and Julian didn’t really wanna be recognized for oneyplays and I believe Julian has a thread up about why he left. They just don’t want to be turned into what are basically fictional characters

Oney is genuinely incredibly underrated

Oney is hilarious and surprisingly wholesome sometimes. His friends are cool and i got used to the new Oneybois once DD and Julian left cause of GG drama. I genuinely hate that GG turned out to be a sour channel..

My sense of humour was ruined by this era and me and my friends still do fat albert and rugrats impressions because of it

That Chris was always the main voice in the room with DD&J being a fantastic support act to his comedy by either Julian laughing at the shenanigans and Ding Dong offering a completely different vibe to balance out Chris being wacky. I feel now that everyone in modern videos is capable of being that main voice and it's a different type of video entirely and Chris isn't the main star anymore in every video

@@arcticeditsstuff I think the current content is definitely missing a straight man, which DD used to fill the role of. There’s not really anyone who listens to their weird remarks and goes “wtf” anymore, you know? Every one of the cast now adds to and one-ups the jokes, which does make for some good bits, but it’s not the same without someone to sort of stand outside of the jokes and react to them like a normal person would

I fthink the difference is Game Grumps definitely have very funny moments but their average episode feels a bit like a podcast. Just usual conversation stuff. Oneyplays is just a constant stream of nonsense. Babbling, rhyming, hypotheticals, improv... Whatever comes to their minds. You never know what you're going to get.

@@liquidladdy Matt basically ghosted dingdong and Julian but acted like they were still friends when mentioning them on Supermega. Then, when being called out, gifted 100 subs or so to ding dongs stream (which obviously was awkward and random) as a way of apalogy or something? Anyways, ding dong commented about how weird it was but still thanked him for the dono. Ding Dong has stated that Matt was the least problematic of the whole doxxing fiasco and has said for haters to leave Matt alone. Matt basically just disappointed ding dong because when the doxxing happened, instead of defending julian and ding, he stayed quiet to keep his job as editor for game grumps. Although what Matt did was undeniably shitty, I genuinely think that he does feel sorry for what happened back then. Just a weird situation all around man.

@@Meh2752 exactly, it's a weird situation involving personal matters, but without that transparency loads of fans just think there's this lingering drama. But yeah it was weird, Matt even said on twitter or a video that DD and J were still cool with him when they haven't done anything since a podcast 4 years ago. But god that dream daddy Drama killed an era.

The obscure games they would play is something I really love because I ended up discovering a whole bunch of games from my childhood that I forgot about from them playing them. I feel the DD&J era is alot more chilled out and they feel more relaxing to watch because sometimes its just an episode of an interesting story in comparison to modern era of being as funny as possible to keep people watching

The DD&J era always holds a special place to me because I started watching very early on and got to see the channel grow with a big influx of people finding the good videos. I always end up going back to it when I need a good laugh and I find all of their videos still hold up even now with the channel being different in its style of video and it's great to see that people still enjoy this style

I feel they definitely have more funny moments but the style of it was very different to what is the humour of the channel now. The bits I found for DD&J are either really short quick jokes that didn't cut together well or more longer stories which are less interesting to put into a video like this where people want the funny happening constantly. I only watched a small amount of the videos for this as well and relied on what I remembered as being funny.

They have way more funny content than what's shown here
