Dude, I wish Ongezellig could have gotten more recognition. It seriously has the potential to be a masterpiece to many and I'm sad that it will never be fleshed-out into a whole series.

Lovely video. It was quite a roller-coaster to support Studio Massa in his production of Ongezellig. It is such a touching pilot, with beautiful animation and characters that have tremendous pathos. In truth, I have hope that the pilot may remain "fallow" and dormant for a while, but eventually some studio will see the light and ask to produce it. ❤ 🧡 💛 By the way, as I post this, it is the 6th anniversary of the first part's publication.

This review is amazing. It’s great to see a review from someone who did the extra research on the petje illustrations and such, they add a whole new layer of depth to the series. Ongezellig is precious to me personally as it feels like this is the only version that sees someone like me. Sometimes in fiction it feels like shy characters are romanticized in ways that make them so unrealistic or too far into fantasy but Maya feels so real in a way no other fictional characters come across

Probably the best ‘Zellig review I’ve seen so far, and I’ve watched pretty much all of them. This show is such a hidden gem, nothing would make me happier than to see it blow up in popularity one day.

A funfact from a native dutch speaker. So in the illustrations at 3;40 Maya actually tries to get French fries. The funny thing about this is,that in Dutch we have 2 ways to call them. In Holland and I would say in the big cities,most people call them "Patat". In the south and east Netherlands(Also the Belgians call them like that) it's more common to call it "Friet". In elementary school this was like the number 1 discussion. "Is het friet of patat?"

One of the most underrated web series. It really deserved better. Hope Massa is just living well and happy because he really deserves it. Awesome video, great and complete analysis, cool editing, and a perfect conclusion.

I would just like to say that this video genuinely brought a smile to my face. I love Ongezellig and am always happy to see any video that talks about it. But this video was just phenomenal and far better than I could have expected it to be. Excellent editing, humor and also especially analysis of the actual short film. You brought up so many great things from absolutely every nook and cranny of the short. Be it the entire thing as a whole, the characters themselves or even just the credit song. Expressing how I truly feel about things is not something I'm great at, especially in few words (as you can tell by the length of this comment), so I just want to make it as absolutely clear as possible that this video really was wonderful to watch and I think you did an absolutely amazing job. Keep up the amazing work. Will definitely have a look at your other videos and look forward to your next video.

This video got me to watch the series. I actually hadn't heard of it before. The humor was close to being a miss to me, but I still enjoyed it. I absolutely love Maya because I have ADHD and also have some issues with social interaction, although not nearly as extreme as her.
